Lovely old inn great staff good food .And best breakfast I have had for ages.
Can't think of anything

Breakfast OK.
No parking available at first until at third request, member of staff sorted the problem.
No hanging rail in bedroom for coats or shirts.
Appeared that cupboard door was either locked or out of use.
Manager however was trying her best and pleasant.
Hotel was clean but our room looked in need of attention. Beds were comfortable.

The stairs, if you have issues getting up the stairs, this is not the property for you

We paid £10 each for breakfast service and it was absolutely spot on.

Breakfast had ample choices and was well cooked. Meals in restaurant were tasty. Room was comfortable and enjoyed the bath. Very quiet, small village. Parking was easy. It was lovely to have extra tea, coffee and milk available for guests to access after closing time of the inn. Could get onto main roads fairly easily to head to site-seeing attractions. The history or the inn and lovely stone work and ambience of the inn.
The property itself was lovely and while we wanted a village experience this was a little further out of the way than we thought when we booked. It is not the problem of the property at all and we had no complaints with the property. If you are thinking of staying here, just be aware that some of the roads into the property are quite narrow so if you are driving be prepared to navigate these types of roads. It was worth the effort though and was a lovely quiet place to stay. Thank you.

Food was good , room was adequate, lovely traditional bar, stunning location

The friendly staff. The inn was amazing . A beautifully historic venue. We loved it. The drive in was also an adventure.

A beautiful old pub with friendly Staff who were very helpful.

its history and location.
service in restaurant was much too slow, food took forever to come out and wasn’t worth the wait. carpet in room not nice or clean. bed uncomfortable and squeaky.

The welcome by Amanda was great and our evening meal was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The whole place is deep in the country so it was very quiet.
The room was on the small side and there was only one chair to put clothes on etc.
Breakfast was not the best - the incumbent was also training a new person and the meal was wrong and later than expected.

it was rainy and very cold weather, when I arrived at the hotel I was wet, the staff disconnected the heat in the radiators and I froze from the cold. In the morning at 7:10 I went downstairs to have breakfast and no one from the staff was downstairs. We are totally disappointed in this hotel.

Food. Service
Room very small.

Restaurant food was fantastic, very filling and great value. Staff were very friendly . Beautiful location
Unfortunately the bed wasn't very comfortable, mattress was very soft which isn't my personal preference. Breakfast was so-so. Ordered scrambled egg on toast and coffee. Toast hardly had any butter on and the egg was very dry. Hot water was bought out for coffee, sachets on the table were then used to make the coffee. Would have preferred fresh coffee or a cafetiere. Was in a rush to bring up at the time.

The atmosphere of the hotel. The food was excellent, the staff extremely helpful and very pleasant. The cleanliness of the rooms.
Only one small problem, the radiator in my room (11) I think it needed bleeding, it was very hot at the bottom but just warm at the top.

bed was a bit hard

Lovely comfy rooms. Great food and drink. Very Friendly staff.

Clean and comfortable country pub. Super friendly staff and good breakfast.
Made a good overnight stop for the ferry at Plymouth.
Beware of the route to the pub, our sat nav sent us up some very narrow rarely used lanes instead of the main road.

great pub and friendly staff
thin walls

Great location, friendly staff, good food, plenty of parking
The toilet seat was loose, 5 minute job to tighten it. Very cheap toilet paper, well worth spending a bit more. I spwnt 20 years in holiday hospitality so like to feel i know what is important.

Staff were fantastic, can't fault any of them. Location hard to access, even my sat-nav couldn't find it easily. Breakfast good.
For older clients they need to think about a bit of heating this time of the year it was a bit damp, also make mention of the 'steepish' stairs to access rooms. We found our room had absolutely no view from the window, only 'brick walls" ! Simple improvements could include 'coat hooks' in rooms, also a chair, a newspaper delivery and maybe somewhere to sit in public area's to read it other than dining area's.

Lovely old World Inn.The staff and management were very polite and nice. We eat in the restaurant every day and got a little tired of that. The menu could have been more interesting , Plenty of choice at breakfast but it would have been nice to get real coffee. .
The matress in our room was uncomfortable ,the manageress helped by giving us some heavy weight duvets to put under the sheet , which helped.

Beautiful pub, amazing location, even better food. Cosy, good sized room, comfortable beds and nice bathroom.
4.3
The breakfast was ok, evening meals were wonderful.
Comfortable clean room.
Friendly staff
No hairdryer in the room
A bit noisy when the kitchen fans were on but it was cool so able to keep the windows closed

Breakfast was good. Our evening meal was fine. Staff welcoming and very friendly atmosphere.
We took the wrong route the first time which was a Cornish lane nightmare but your receptionist directed us back to Saltash via Hatt which was so much better.
