Convenient location and the simple, self-service breakfast with excellent filter coffee.
It was a dark, wet afternoon and it was difficult to find the B&B entrance once I'd got off the main road into the complex; the room and shower room were chilly and it was'nt possible to turn up the heating despite adjusting the radiator valves. My single bed mattress was a bit soft for my liking.

The single room was a good size, as was the en suite bathroom. The maintenance person fixed a broken blind immediately. All staff personnel were kind. The grounds are lovely to walk around, with some nice views. The bus stop for Huddersfield is literally right outside the Community buildings.
The Community site is large and I had no idea where to check in. A member of staff spotted me walking around and took me to the right place. If the Community could provide a map or written instructions for first time visitors, that would be great.

I was on an adventure - to cycle, solo, across the width of Britain. This was one of the 12 accommodations that I stayed in along the journey. The lady host was very friendly and approachable from the moment I arrived to the moment that I left. The place was only open because I was there so I had the place to myself! The lady host, arrived the next morning and made my full English breakfast for me. We had a lovely chat that morning about my adventure and she wished me well on my journey. Would definitely highly recommend this place for food and overnight accommodation.

Very close to the venue we were visiting for wedding
Third floor up, and very noisy stairs to climb.
The lady host was a little bit snippy, not just with us, but with someone else who was visiting the estate for a Retreat.
Felt like quite a cold welcome

Comfortable beds, all nice and clean, beautiful gardens.
My room was facing the street and was therefore very loud.
There was not enough cheese for breakfast.

I had a very nice welcome and found my room to be exactly as described. It was comfortable, clean with all facilities required for a pleasant stay. I was early for breakfast and everything was freshly available for a continental meal. I didn't have time to explore the grounds but will certainly do so the next time I return to Mirfield Monastery,a bed and breakfast with a difference!!
There was nothing I didn't like.

Central to places we wanted to visit. Pub down the road had good food at reasonable prices.
The grounds of the monastery were fabulous.Monastery Oasis

The location was ideal for what we needed. Good Value for money. We received a warm welcome when we arrived. You helped yourself to breakfast and the ingredients were good and plentiful.

Exceptional grounds to explore. A very good location and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. An unusual venue to stay but would recommend.
Car parking was difficult on one day (another event being held at the time).

Wonderful location within the monastery grounds with on site parking. Ample self service continental breakfast. My room, although on the small side, was clean with a comfortable bed so I got a good night's sleep.

Lovely location. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice warm and cosy rooms. very friendly staff and great breakfast. yogurt, cereals toast, eggs and cheese and loads of fresh fruit, preserves and OJ tea and coffee. Catered fro me being g/f and decaff ( asked in advance). I am an early riser so had chance to go to the matins service ast 6.45am. Amazing service almost all sung with beautiful vocals as well.( arrive 5 mins early). Its has a lovely orchard and 20 acres to explore!

We have stayed here a few times now when we come and see family. The rooms are nice and cosy. Breakfast is self service and all laid out. You have a choice of toast, eggs, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, assortment of condiments. Tea, coffee, juices. There is also tea and coffee in your room with nibbles.
We couldn't fault anything inside, the only suggestion we would have is on the outside. If you arrive at night it is quite dark. I would suggest some reflective markings on the lower walls of the building near the retreat as you drive forward to park up as there is another small wall which can be missed when reversing, also the small wall down the side of that same building. This would really help.

Large room and the bed was quite comfy, Monastery complex looks astonishing.
Funny smell in the room, the bathroom was not cleaned up to a standard, self-service breakfast with little choice.
