Chilled out past Collingwood
Perfect quiet location bracketed by tidal estuary out from own little rock, & warm shallow swimming beach just up the road. Short walk.
House had everything needed. Good deck and lounge kitchen flow to outdoors. Good bunk stack and main room inside with self contained ensuite.
Kayak which is great to slip into the tidal area with.
Excellent communication from the prop mgmt and simple to arrive and leave from. Just leave the bugger clean and tidy.
Collingwood is 15 up the road.

Excellent Location
We loved our stay at this property - situated on a peninsula between the estuary and the beach, short access to either with the property backing onto the estuary where we spent most of our time with the younger children exploring and playing, with kayaks and other facilities provided.
The extra sleepout made it easier for larger family too.

Home away from Home
It was comfortable and just what we needed. Good Location and quiet, not that we were there long enough to enjoy.

4 night break
Nice property, we all enjoyed it very much. Property was clean but the only thing we didn't like was the fridge and freezer not being empty, too much stuff from other people left behind and not enough room for our stuff for 6 people.
Also under the sink there were only dirty cloth and dish brush, we didn't want to touch , apart from that overal a very plesant stay there.

Where was the water?
The fridge and freezer both contained food, reducing available space for us. Surfaces were dirty. We expected to be pretty much on the beach, going by the photos. Otherwise it's a good location.

A short break in golden bay
User friendly book in service and arrival instructions. The Bach was ideal for our family with heaps of room for everyone. We loved walking out onto the front beach, collecting a few cockles for tea and wading in the shallows. A beautiful mid day high tide allowed us to get the sit on kayak out into the estuary for some exploration up the creeks. The Bach was clean and tidy with a great bbq and luxury of a dishwasher. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Great house for 2 couples. Sleepout with shower toilet great.
We loved the whole experience. From booking to arrival and getting set up. Fire at night and having the separate living space was fantastic. The kids loved playing in the sand and having an outside hot shower. The tui s, Bell birds and wood pigeons were special. We will be back.

A good place to relax and rest
A well equipped kiwi bach. Only 2 of us but had the potential to accommodate a couple of families if required. Appreciated the log fire as our time in Totara Avenue was VERY wet! Bird life in trees a treat. A quiet and restful stay.

The perfect location
A great wee hideaway, perfect location near estuary and beach. Very relaxing and perfect for the puppy, he loved the beach, as we did. Close to many walks and other area of interest.

Peaceful location
We had a great stay, everything we needed was available. The kids loved cricket on the mudflats in front of the house and crab hunting. The fire kept us toasty at night. Very happy we will be back.

Relaxing and peaceful
Lovely location, miles of beach to wander on, toasty fireplace heats the whole place, well outfitted. Rustic, but tidy.

A bit disappointing
We 2 were travelling with 4 family members from overseas & were disappointed that clearing/clearing some surfaces was needed. Also strange persistent smell in sleepout that was otherwise very comfortable.
This was our most expensive place of 7 varied accommodation stays in the South Island from Nelson via Takaka, West coast,Karamea to Te Anau & onwards, but did not compare favourably.
The property manager was responsive & helpful.

Our perfect family holiday
We were a group comprising grandparents, grown-up kids, and the grandchildren - all who loved being in nature. We had a canoe with us which worked perfectly as, even though the estuary at times was windy, when we went to the beach it was beautifully calm and sheltered. Loved the little track that went through the forest down to the beach - just stepped out the front and there it was. We are all birdwatchers too so we had plenty to feast our eyes on. It's an absolutely perfect spot for feeling close to the wildlife in the area. The bach was very comfortable and worked well with the sleepout being so well appoiinted too. We all agreed we couldn't have found a better place.

Waterside retreat
This was a lovely spot for a weekend escape. It is an amazing little area, gorgeous trees, and houses tucked under them for great privacy. This is a comfy bach - and we went early winter, so really enjoyed the fire.

Waters Edge was a great place to stay - plenty of room and everything provided. We were surprised that the owners personal things were still in place as if they had just stepped out. i.e food in the fridge, clothes in the bedroom etc - In that way it was unlike other rental holiday homes.
