About this house rental
This well-appointed two-storey house is located just 300m from both the beautiful One Mile Beach and the adventurous Burgess Beach in Forster, NSW. The rear of the property backs onto semi-temperate rainforest, which creates a wonderful, green sense of privacy. The backyard is fully fenced with good access, so we can also accommodate your four-legged, fury friends inside and outside the house. This sun-filled family home is ideal for your extended family or for two families to share comfortably.
THE SPACE
* 5 bedrooms - UPSTAIRS - Bedroom 1 (King size bed) Bedroom 2 (double bed ) bedroom 3 (King size bed). DOWNSTAIRS - Bedroom 4 (King size bed) Bedroom 5 (two single beds)
* Two common spaces, one upstairs and one downstairs so that the kids can watch a movie downstairs while the adults relax upstairs!
* Fully equipped kitchen upstairs with all the cooking essentials you will need and a kitchenette downstairs. Allows for space separation for two groups or two families to enjoy comfortably
* Wi-fi
* Three TVs
* BBQ
* Three decks for relaxing and entertaining. The upper deck is enclosed with insect screens so its perfect for a summer BBQ or two.
* Outdoor shower
* Fully fenced yard for your dog
* Pets are allowed inside
* The king size beds can also be separated into two singles if needed
* Close to shops, cafes and supermarkets.

OUR BEDS
We have 3 king beds, which can be split into 2 singles. This requires the beds to be remade with different base components and doonas and then put back to king format at the end of your stay. To cover this cost we charge $40 per king bed.
BED LINEN & BATH TOWELS
We are trying to keep the booking price down for our guests, so bed linen and towels are not included in the fee, though bath mats, hand towels and tea towels are.
There are three linen options at Lanterns:

2. Hire your own
3. Full linen service provided by Lanterns
If you don't wish to bring your own linen and towels, bed linen and towels can be hired from a local, commercial grade linen hire service Kleensweep. They will drop-off and pick up as part of the service.

A couple of days away with the Lads for golf and to celebrate a 60th. The post on the website is very informative, well set up kitchen etc And good options for sleeping, easy process getting linen delivered.

"Lanterns" is a well maintained, very comfortable property for a stay any time of the year (ours was winter). Walking distance to One Mile Beach, short drive to shops.
Our mixed age group would happily visit again.

We could do without the piano! Or at least the ability to lock it! Grandkids make too much noise with it and fight over it. I'm surprised your neighbours don't complain !
Weather was against us with Saturday being a complete washout. Pity we couldn't stay on another day because Monday was gorgeous

House is perfectly located near one mile beach and close to surrounding shops which is a 5min drive. Ideal house if you are sharing with a few families and everything you require is at the house. The children had their own lounge and bedrooms downstairs whilst the adults used the main level of the house.
The owner Brett was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions or requests we had.
I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend or stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking to cater for a variety of age groups. With 2/3 living areas, kids can split up and watch or do different things. The kitchen is well set out and has plenty of cooking utensils and bowls/ dishes to serve food in. The verandah is a lovely space to be with all the birdlife . The beach and the surf club cafe are only 7 mins walk way .Our family go to place for our annual beach holiday !

This is a very comfortable house with lots of space. I particularly enjoyed the wonderful bird life from the back verandah over looking the rainforest. We will definitely book here again.

Great house for a large group of friends or extended family. Just a little out of town but a nice quiet location. Loved the back deck, beautiful spot to sit out and read a book and a very well-equipped kitchen. Hope to be back again next year!

Great house to fit a number of families coming together in the one spot. Has everything you need, lots of space, lots of seperate areas for kids and adults. Great location- close to beaches, playgrounds, golf club and bowling club and short drive into Main Street of Forster. We loved our time there and would definitely stay again.
The only minimal issue were the bats in the trees out back and bugs- both of which are out of the owners hands! Bring ear plugs if light sleepers and bug spray

We were 2 families with 3 toddlers between us and our parents. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful house, very clean and well equipped kitchen. Location is excellent, and the beach is very close too. The house is overall child safe with insect screens everywhere. Perfect for a getaway for few days!

We stayed here for a weekend away and had a fantastic time. The location was amazing with easy access to two beaches, the venue was as described and offered great spaces to hang out and relax.

We love staying at Brett’s place. It is very child friendly with a big, closed in balcony, two tv areas and kids plates, cups and utensils. We can spread out as an extended family but also get together with a big main lounge. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have a group.

Close to Beach
Have used this property twice now for family catch up. Good location can walk to the beach. Short drive to shopping centre and clubs. Dog friendly and one of few who let you have dogs inside. Owner easy to communicate with. Lots of space for a few families to catch up.

Great location and setup
Everything we could hope for was included in this copy weekend getaway stay. More that enough room for 8 friends, would comfortable fit a few families, highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay on the outskirts of Forster.

Three day getaway
Great house and great location.
Due to the rain we experienced we found that the guttering was overflowing down past our window and the metal outdoor Shower head ‘pinged’ all night.
A couple of small irritations but otherwise a fabulous stay. The house is perfect for group getaways.

Overall accommodation was fantastic for a large family, had some communication issues with the host on email/phone however persistence paid off and all ended well.

Girls Weekend
We were completely impressed with this property. It was such a wonderful space for a bunch of friends of over 40 years standing to get together and enjoy a relaxed weekend catching up. Well appointed throughout, great location and importantly comfortable and private bedrooms and beds for each of us. We'll be back.

Amazing house for groups
House was clean and had all the facilities we needed to cater for a group of 9. The house was very conveniently located, being only a 5 min walk from two beautiful beaches and a short drive to the main shops! Would highly reccomend this place to anyone considering it, and we hope to stay again in future.

Beautiful house in convenient location
This is a great house for a combined family beach holiday. The house has lots of areas that groups of people can spread out like downstairs or the huge outdoor verandah and a huge lounge and table when the group wants to come together. The child friendly beach is just a short walk away with a great cafe . Highly recommend Brett’s place for family groups.

Excellent property for a large family
This property was perfect for our family with adult children and partners. The house was well set up with lots of different spaces to hang out in. The kitchen is also well equipped. This is one of the cleanest holiday houses we have ever stayed in. Short walk to One Mile beach. Very good communication with host. Highly recommend.

Was very impressed as we walked through the doors, house was clean and tidy, well appointed for the weekend stay, the temperature had plummeted so we had to really rug up, although uncommon some better heating would have been nice (no big deal as we got through it). Plenty of condiments in the cupboard (which made the wife happy). Overall a very pleasant stay, you will not be disappointed by this property
