About this house rental
Allawah, built in 1911, is the old Methodist Church in the small village of Wallendbeen. Reinvented as a place for you and a close friend to relax, Allawah has everything you need for a weekend or a week. Just add the champagne!
Some simple breakfast items are provided but bring with you a hamper to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively, it is a 15 min drive to nearby towns of Cootamundra, Harden and Young all have supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pub meals.
If you feel like getting out and about, Allawah is a short drive to the Hilltops wine region, or if you are a cricket tragic, visit Cootamundra, Bradman's birthplace. In summer you can indulge in the cherries and peaches at Young. Travel a little further afield and find the Air Museum at Temora, or Junee with its Roundhouse and Railway Museum, to be followed by a visit to the Licorice Factory.
Detour on the way back to discover the architectural and historical surprises of surrounding villages like Galong, Wombat or Stockinbingal. Of course, if you can't drum up the energy for any of this, you may manage the short walk to the pub to meet the locals. Nearby to Harden, Cootamundra, Young, and Temora

A very different place to stay. Was well presented and had everything we needed, just a little cold at this time of year, a big open space to heat and no heating on when we arrived early evening so took a little while to warm up.

We stayed in the beautiful Allawah property over Christmas as we have a Great Dane and my husbands family live in Young where Christmas was for us this year. Thankfully Leanne allowed us to have Eva at the property… my first impression on walking in was that it was jaw droppingly breathtaking! The pictures do not do this place justice… the property was immaculate yet inviting… we were so happy!!!

While we enjoyed our stay in this nicely renovated old church building, we found the large space sparsely furnished and not terribly homely. The place was well equipped (except for the lack fo a hair dryer) and interesting.

If you want to escape the rat race Allawah church is fantastic, bring some supplies, a good book and relax in this beautiful converted church. Harden and Young are just arround the corner for a quick stock up.Our dogs loved the back yard.

Stay at Allawah
It was a most enjoyable experience for my husband and myself and our dog. It was a home away from home. Lovely modern kitchen, and bathroom. Heated towel rack - such "luxury". Comfortable bed.

An amazing stay
Allawah is an amazing place to stay. We stayed 3 nights and even though the church is so spacious, the air conditioning warmed the space beautifully for some cold nights. Well appointed it is definately a place to stay!

Great Location
Such a quiet and relaxing location.
The building itself is an amazing space.
The location is close to Young and Cootamundra.
We went during the cherry season and it was so easy to find an orchard.

Beautifully restored and high spec.
We had only one night in this unique place as we were transiting from NSW to Victoria with our dog and 2 cats ! Leanne was very helpful in the booking stage and provided lots of information about the premises so we were confident it would suit us and our animals . Everything in the church was beautifully presented and finished to a high standard . We would stay again ! Thanks Leanne

Spacious, quiet, comfortable and high level fitout
We travelled with our German Shepherd, who was allowed inside the premises to sleep in the alcove. The outside tempos of 38 deg C were not issue as 2 ceiling fans and 2 split system AC were very comfortable . The kitchen and bathroom are spacious and as new. Good communication from the owner was also an asset.
On Australia Day we went to Wombat for the street stalls and activities then came back to the Pub where we were made more than welcome. We went back the next night for an excellent meal upstairs.

Fabulous & Unique
Fabulous converted church with everything you could need, pets allowed was one of the main reasons for us staying :o) plus a great pub 2mins walk down the road. Quick response from owners, straight forward process, easy to find - we'll be back!

Luxury accommodation in a quiet spot
I cannot fault this place for pure comfort and charm with all the features you'd expect in a 5 star hotel.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Best stay ever, the place is pure class and every fixture is top of the line. the conversion is first class. I didn't want to leave. The local pub is a real treat as well and it is less then a block away. The church is also near a train line but because the walls are so thick you can't hear it at all. We will return again next year.
