The view and outdoor onsen was excellent. Japanese restaurant and sushi restaurant were perfect.
Not enough bottle water in the room.

a truly grand hotel located high on the hill with Lake Toya view from my room. Lobby interior looks spectacular.
We had dinner at its sushi restaurant Shoan Kogetsu, the best sushi we had in Japan. Chef and waiter are both very friendly.
staffs at reception were very helpful.

I could not go to the onset for my tattoos and I was still charged
Also all the restaurants in the hotel- Michel bras and kitcho are closed- so you feel trapped with restaurants that are not very good and very expensive

Beautiful winter landscape and splendid views.
Management that seemed bent on extracting as much income as possible. They wanted to charge me to check in at noon instead of 3 pm. Every dinner meal was a compulsory prix fixe that ran into US$ 150 per head.

Very grand hotel and nice staff. The ski site is lovely with nice snow and very friendly to beginners. The ski coach and rental staff we're particularly good. A memorable stay for us!
The hotel is located distant from the Toya onsen main street. The free shuttle is infrequent so it might take taxi from Toya JR Station to the hotel. So for people travel by JR, the transportation could be a small issue.

the scene is very nice. quiet, not many people dying my stay, maybe because of off-peak season. open air hot spring.
very limited lunch and dinner options. room service available only after 7:30pm. day time no room service.

Outdoor Onsen was one of the most amazing and incredible experiences of our lives -- its gorgeous!! We were lucky enough also to use it while it was snowing outside -- a truly delightful experience. And the views from this place are to DIE for. Amazing.
Most everything else :-( The hotel clearly has been impacted severely by COVID -- they have such limited staffing that just about everything you want to do there is closed. And their staff are sooooo unwilling to accomodate custom requests. I thought it would be more like a Ritz Carlton given what I read about the place, but it was more like a Ritz Carlton run by Holiday Inn staff. Overall, we had a bad experience due to overpriced food, issues with our room that staff were unwilling to resolve until pushed very hard, and mostly closed facilities/amenities. Place is also in the middle of nowhere, making basic things (like getting there) difficult, complex, and expensive. Our trip to Windsor was mostly disappointing.

I loved the atmosphere. You will feel very isolated from the world, in a good way. The onsen was great as was the breakfast. The snowstorm at the hotel was something else. The views cannot be beat. The snow was incredible. Loved swimming in a pool while it was snowing outside. Beautifully decorated for Christmas
I got 2 massages and was charged 200% more than menu prices. I felt like I was being taken advantage of, but the front desk corrected it at checkout which I was grateful for. However a 13,000 yen difference just felt like they didn’t think I would notice when they charged the massage. Also please (especially if it’s too snowy to go into town) understand that unless you’re ok with only eating pricy meals at designated times, you will be disappointed. There are no convenience stores, no quick eating restaurants or even vending machines. Due to the pandemic most restaurants are closed and they don’t offer room service. If I had been there more than 2 nights I would have been very hungry. Fortunately I had some snacks left over from my previous hotel stay. There is nothing up there other than the hotel- $60 taxi ride/30mins down the mountain. Be prepared

Breakfast was amazing. Staffs seemed a bit amateur.

The reception staff was not so friendly and many booking mistakes and miscommunications happened internally, which led us to spend more time than necessary at check-in and during the stay.
Other staff were very kind.

The hotel is very beautiful, and the location was spectacular. The view from every window was postcard perfect, and for that alone, it was well worth the price.
The selection of restaurants within the hotel was amazing, though do expect to pay about what your room was worth a night for a dinner for two at some of them. We really enjoyed the whiskey bar and live musicians also.
Loved our stay up on the mountain, and will endeavour to return when we’re next back in Hokkaido.

Near by sky facility for family trip is a good choice.
The smoke always bother me, including lobby and whole public place, the smoke always here!
The restaurant to much noice.
