We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and spacious for our family, and close to a variety of fun places to visit. Such a beautiful area!

We loved it! The space is beautiful and relaxing. The kitchen is well appointed. There is a piano, beautiful toys and children's books for the children, books for the adults and a lovely yard for the children to kick the soccer ball.
We were here for a large family wedding and folks were able to stop by and visit.
The four bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfy.
The owner of the home was helpful whenever I had a pre-visit question.
We would go back in a minute!
The country roads and local small beaches created a relaxing rural vibe.

Close enough to visit Acadia and Bar Harbor. Also excellent night kayaking nearby. The house was very nice and served the 7 of us well.

This house was perfect for us. We had 4 generations from age 13 to 86. (5 people total and 2 small dogs). Plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. We had an issue with water one day because we are not used to well water, but the owners were easy to communicate with and it was a super simple fix. The location was good with lots of places within an hour. Acadia, Bar Harbor, Deer Isle, Stonington...everywhere was wonderful.

We came to visit family and were so happy with the house. We came with an 18 month old, 6 and 10 year old who all found games and activities provided. The bedrooms were perfectly comfortable and spacious. It was convenient, well set up, and had absolutely everything we needed. I would highly recommend. It is in such an absolutely beautiful area.

Very roomy and comfortable. We were working in the area and every night returned for a relaxing meal and a good night sleep. Thank you for your hospitality!

This was a great find for a stay to visit family in a rural area - we comfortably slept five adults and were lucky to be able to bring along our dog - the first floor bedroom was a bonus and the kitchen was well-appointed and made for a comfortable gathering spot.

Easy house for three couples to sleep. The moisture from wet basement makes it tough for anyone with mold issues or allergies. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything and easy to communicate with hosts.

Our family had a great time! The property was a great place to relax. It was close enough to Acadia National Park, but set far enough apart from much of the busyness. We enjoyed the rural setting and quiet location. There were some minor plumbing issues, such as the upstairs toilet taking a long time to fill back up after it was flushed, but we still enjoyed our time here very much.

House always felt damp with a mildew like odor regardless of the weather. We had to clean the laundry equipment of dead insects and insect carcasses before it could be used and whenever we used the basement for laundering the odors which escaped made the whole house smelly.

My family and i have been looking forward to this since we booked back in December! Such a lovely home and more than we expected. Loved the quiet and lack of ambient noise or light.

Despite the smooth booking and check-in process facilitated by VRBO and the listing host, my family's three-night stay at this property was notably disappointing.
Initial impressions were positive, with the property appearing as described in the photos. However, the reality diverged from our expectations.
The first issue we confronted pertained to the bathrooms. Designed more for baths than showers, one bathroom had a rinse handle which made showering inconvenient. The second bathroom, lacking a lock, posed privacy problems.
Our dissatisfaction continued when we noticed a peculiar smell from the bedding that resulted in skin irritation for three guests. We eliminated the possibility of bedbugs, but concluded that the bedding was likely unwashed.
We persisted with our stay, hoping for improvement. Yet, upon returning from a day out in the city, we found a rodent in the kitchen and an insects elsewhere primarily in the bedrooms. These cleanliness issues led us to shorten our stay by a day.
Further aggravating our experience was a "full" bed that was ill-equipped to support two adults, threatening to collapse at times.
In sum, this property failed to provide a satisfactory stay due to its compromised cleanliness and misleading listing. It's our hope that this feedback prompts the hosts to improve conditions for future guests.

Convenient location about an hour from Acadia National Park! Close to Blue Hill with lots of dining options. Loved the toys for the kids to play with!
My only wish would be for a larger shower ;) Otherwise, a great house in Maine!

We loved the old farmhouse feel with modern amenities. Plenty of room for a crowd, though we were only three, visiting family in nearby Blue Hill. Totally comfortable.

We took a girls trip and stayed at this lovely house for a week. It's close to Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park. The house was exactly as shown, was clean and had everything we needed for a great time! Would definitely stay here again!

Overall had a good time, owner was easy to get ahold of and accommodating on being open to us arriving a day sooner than expected.
House is an old farmhouse that has been updated for the most part but did have the old farmhouse feel in some parts.
Overall was a nice place for my family with 4 boys (7yrs-15yrs old) and in-laws
We did have some issues with water/well/pump not being able to keep up during our stay and had to baby it thru the visit even with babying it thru we still did not have much water. Owner was contacted and sent someone over for maintenance within minutes (maintenance man told us had been an issue the last few weeks and hoping to fix permanently in off season)

We rented this property for a few of our wedding guests to stay during our wedding week in Maine. Everyone loved the property and had a very good experience, and then upon leaving, I was informed by the owner via VRBO that one of the small children (under four years old) scratched up the side of their piano unfortunately. The owners were fair letting me know what happened and reaching out for our insurance policy number. We are grateful that we purchased damage protection on this reservation.

We stayed for 5 nights Labor Day weekend. The property is spacious and well appointed. The design is cozy and very Maine. We had excellent communication with Jim and Susan. The well at the house is shallow and ran low. Twice we had to have someone come to reset the pump and only one person could shower a day along w running either the dish or clothes washer once. This was the only negative. Jim and Susan were quick to send help and on our last night they did have a truck come to fill the well which was helpful. We love this area of Maine so much and the location was perfect.

We loved the property, the tranquil setting and the very well-equipped kitchen. Games nights were a highlight thanks to the stash of games the property has. We'll be back!

It was a little out of the way, but we enjoyed the quiet location. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a lobster boil already there. Clean, well kept and lots of charm. Lots to explore along the coast and an easy drive to Acadia National Park.

My family and parents stayed at this quaint farm house for 5 days. I have booked many properties on Vrbo and this was very accurate of the house discription.
Our trip to Maine was for my nieces wedding on Deer Isle which was just a short drive away. We really enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, viisit Arcadia National Park, Stonington, and Bar Harbor.
For an older farm house it was clean and comfortable except for the basement which was alittle scary and dirty.
I do have to mention the only shower in the house which is on the 1st floor, I was very small!! I am not a big person 5'5" and 140lbs and it was tight for me. There is a bathroom on the 2nd floor but it only has a tub.
Finally, We really enjoyed our time in Maine and the family dinners at the house . The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and especially enjoying Lobster.

Beautiful secluded farmhouse
The house was perfect for our family of 6. The kids loved the piano and the Stephen King book references all around the house. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet mornings on the porch swing. Very accommodating rental, had everything we needed and more. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, which was nice. As a heads up, it’s about 30 minutes to Ellsworth and an hour to Bangor or Bar Harbor. We would absolutely rent this house again!

Thanks again!

Overall great!
Living areas were clean, open, and well maintained. Kitchen was fully stocked which was a nice surprise. Bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Two suggestions would be to improve the main bathroom on the 1st floor to something bigger than a tiny stall shower. Since it's the only shower for the entire house, it made it a challenge for 5 of us to use one small shower. 2nd suggestion would be to work on the basement in some way, since it is the only area to do laundry. The basement is everything we would expect out of an old farmhouse basement, however, it was in disarray with stuff everywhere. The washer and dryer had to be cleaned before we could use them. Overall, though, a great place!

Great home for family get together!
Big home with plenty of space for our family of 7. Firewood was provided, which was appreciated for the chilly outdoor evenings and mornings. Playing monopoly and checkers by the fireplace fire was quite nice. We loved the location since it was close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor, while enabling us to visit Blue Hill and other quaint Maine towns near Brooksville. Added bonus was the Pet Sematary movie sites near the home. Only concerns: upstairs queen mattress needs to be replaced (springs with insufficient padding). Also, there is only one shower in the home (downstairs), the other bathroom (upstairs) has a jetted tub with hand spray. Just something to be aware of. Last concern - a newer, bigger TV would be nice to watch Pet Sematary.

Enjoyable stay at the farmhouse
House was nice and served our purposes well. Country setting. saw a fair amount of wildlife. Deer, Skunk, Porcupine, Turkeys, Birds. Enjoyed using the fireplace two nights. A little distant from restaurants, groceries but we knew that going in. It was about an hour travel to Acadia/Bar Harbor where we did several day trips. We enjoyed reading about the two movies that were filmed on the property!
