The attention to detail was exceptional. Ear plugs supplied in case your partner snored. Tea and coffee making for all tastes. Torch next to each sleeping position.
The cooked breakfast choice was good and everything was home grown or locally produced.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent especially that most of the produce used was from with a few miles. My son who doesn't usually pay compliments said it was the best English breakfast he had ever had. Keith, the owner, was friendly and considerate and made us feel incredibly welcome. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip up. Thank you
The only miniscule thing was that the curtain, in the family room we were in, was not blackout. Not normally an issue, but there was a light directly outside the window, which was very bright so the room was lit up fairly brightly. Although to be fair, I have no idea if it turns off later in the night. That said, once we fell asleep we didn't notice anymore and slept like babies until the sun came streaming through the window and woke us up. I love the sun so a nice way to wake up.

Host was very helpful. They had clearly thought about all the extra things people may need .
I had actually booked a twin , booking. com did not put that request to the old post office I had to take the Kingsize as nothing else was available . Luckily I was travelling with my mother. Keith was very good about the confusion.

The breakfast was superb with locally sourced, high quality products, homemade bread from locally milled flour and local marmalade.
The host was really welcoming and very interesting. There are good local eateries, one of which is next door. The room was excellent with a very comfy bed and a well stocked shower room. The place is very convenient for those visiting Beamish or Durham.
Everything was great.

This B & B is an absolute gem and we are so glad we found it! The room was beautiful, spacious and full of character. The facilities were exceptional, especially the hospitality tray, complimentary chocolates, gorgeous home made biscuits, bottled water, fresh milk, coffee machine and every type of beverage you could wish for! Everything was spotless and we loved the room and character of the whole building. Keith was the perfect host and made a fabulous breakfast as well as making us feel very welcome on arrival. The location is perfect only a few miles from Beamish where we spent the day on Saturday. There is parking outside without restriction and the village itself is lovely ( we would recommend Ravellos for an evening meal, superb!! ) We loved this accommodation and would return without hesitation. Thank you Keith and Pauline for a lovely stay.

Excellent breakfast, foods locally sourced where possible. We had a family room which was huge. Had double bed and two single beds. en suite with large shower. plenty of teas/coffees, with home made biscuits. The biggest surprise was there was actually "real" cold milk (not those small sachets) in a mini storage compartment! will not be telling where this was, co is it would spoil the surprise? Also had a nice snug room and a quiet room on the ground floor. Oh nearly forgot, amazing pillows has my stamp of approval!!!
