Evening menu was very good. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We couldn’t park on arrival as it was full. The room was more dated than the photos suggest. It’s on a busy road junction so quite noisy.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and great facilities! The staff were very helpful and very friendly and the food was excellent!
Nothing!

In beautiful area of England close to the Cotswolds and actually in the Cotswolds
Staff very friendly
Food and service excellent
Some road noise from room 4 but not complaining

Really popular place frequented by locals and people staying over. Lovely position for walks , we had a large room overlooking the court yard , fab bathroom , great comfortable bed , tea, coffee biscuits and water.
Lovely restaurant great evening meal and cooked to order breakfast . Staff really lovely too
4.5
The room was very good and at the top of the building away from any pub noise. The bathroom looked new and was very clean. The choice of food for our evening meal was good and the food was freshly cooked, hot and delicious. Breakfast was also very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Our room was facing the road junction, with single glazing, so the road noise was quite loud.

Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Room at front of hotel was very noisy due to traffic, especially from 6 am. Did affect our sleep. Not the quiet location we’d hoped for.
Evening meal was disappointing.

Great mix of old and contemporary style with a very relaxed atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Really great extra little touches like fresh milk for tea and coffee in our room.

Great pub in wonderful area.
Not too far from Badminton and the people were really welcoming. The room was clean and comfortably
There were no windows in the bedroom so the AC was needed which made it a bit cold! and the green light for the fire exit was in our eyes

It’s a lovely old building
A bit noisy from traffic
4.5
Excellent breakfast and evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I stayed in room 16, part of the old stable block. A great refurb and all amenities on offer.
The room was a little warm, ideal if you could open the window.

The breakfast was outstanding!
The lack of an opening window was a disappointment.

Brilliant and very friendly Staff. Nice new rooms. A very convenient place to stay. The menu for dinner was great and I loved the fact that the breakfast was cooked to order and not buffet style..
The aircon / heater took a while to heat the room and I think, due to my use throughout the night (it was a cold night), didn't seem to work in the morning
4.5
Breakfast was amazing and lived up to all the positive recommendations I read on line prior to booking. Comfortable room, quite spacious.
We asked for a bulb in the light over the shower which wasn’t illuminated to be replaced, but it didn’t get done so it was quite gloomy in the shower cubicle.

Nice pub. Good food. Comfy room and bed. Nice bathroom. Car park at the rear. We parked our motorbike safely here. Friendly enough staff. Excellent breakfast. Freshly cooked to order
Unfortunately our room overlooked the road through the village. Although a minor road it was busy in the morning and woke us early. Window was open as a hot night. Pub drinks were a bit pricey for us. Cheapest bottle of red was over 20 quid.

Location is rural and very quiet.
Everything about the frocester was absolutely outstanding.

Very nice atmosphere, clean rooms and great kitchen
Bed had 2 different matrasses, one new hard one old worn. With different heights.
Green Alarm light was way to bright

Big room. Lovely breakfast
Couldn't find the milk for a cuppa in the room. In the morning I discovered it was on the table outside the room. Why?

everything nothing to dislike, staff were more amazing so helpful , made the stay so pleasant

We liked everything, first the room quality was superb, the bathroom immaculate and modern. This was an old building in tip top condition, we were given a room on the second floor, stairs a little steep and tricky in places, especially when carrying luggage, totally not suitable for someone with mobility issues. The room was quiet, the TV and WiFi excellent, the room was warm and snug, only a little traffic noise in the morning. The Frocester George was totally faultless. The bar and evening food excellent quality, the breakfast was the BEST we experienced this trip, we stayed at FIVE hotels. This was quality at an affordable price.
The parking was a bit limited, but we managed.
4.5
Spacious walk in shower with good flow of hot water. Well equipped kitchen. All clean. Lots of free parking. Quiet location.
We have stayed here before, and will probably return when we need to be in the area.
We knew before booking that there was a metal winding staircase. We do have to be careful going up and down. We also knew before booking that one has to duck under the beams to get into the bed, head banging possibility!
But we still came back!

Breakfast was excellent. The provision of a dressing gown was a really nice touch but if one wore it to the shower room there was nowhere to hang it.
The mirror in the shower room was not over the sink which does not make it easy for a person who wet shaves. Really enjoyed my stay
5.0
This was completely a positive experience and better than anticipated. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. They do look over a road but this road is quiet overnight and although full I didn't hear other guests going up and down. Rooms are spotless, well maintained and the shower was warm with decent pressure. Staff are great, shout out to Rich who made us feel so welcome and their chef is clearly exceptional. My mum is celiac and they took this seriously and were able to fully cater, including homemade GF bread at breakfast (which was just available not pre-ordered). The pub is located a little way outside Stonehouse/Stroud so driving is necessary, but it is so lovely being right in the country and able to drive into the towns as you wish, Gloucester was about a 20mins drive away too and much busier than i imagined. I would 100% stay again, just go by for food and recommend others do the same. Finally my guide dog was also made most welcome.
It in no way detracted from our stay but the stairs up to the rooms are a little slippy, so care should be taken on the stairs.

The overnight stay was, as usual, thoroughly enjoyable - great staff, good meals and an excellent location for a stopover
on our journey home from holiday
The only downside is that there is no lift to the bedrooms but the staff always help with the luggage

Our room, the deluxe suite, lived up to its name, spacious; clean; attractive decor; good storage. Very large comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom with amazing shower and exceptionally large bath. Full English breakfast was delicious, as was dinner, large portions, all made from fresh produce sourced from local farms and cooked to perfection. Attentive staff, welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble.
There was nothing we didn't like.

The staff were friendly, kind and accommodating . The location was ideal for my stay and the food was lovely.
Courtyard was nice but lacked atmosphere, single glazed window in my room which was close to very main road and it was rather noisy until very late into evening
