We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s spacious, comfortable and was very warm and cosy even in cold winter weather.
The location is peaceful - no disturbance from the farm - and the owners Carol and Russell are helpful and friendly. It’s a brilliant base for exploring this part of Devon, right on the edge of Dartmoor and also not far from the coast.
We did some great (hilly) bike rides and enjoyed walking along the lanes to the Carpenters Arms in Ilsington (great food and beer).
Hope to be back next year!

Bagtor Hayloft is a lovely cottage. It is finished to a high standard and is spotlessly clean.
Carol and Russell are very welcoming. The cream tea and bottle of wine awaiting us on arrival was a nice touch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with walks from the cottage onto the moors.

Very nice cottage a stone's throw from Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor. Well equipped, cosy and comfortable with log burner, WiFi and lovely bathroom which includes a mirror you can play your music through! Lovely welcome pack of cream teas and wine from very friendly hosts, Carol and Russell. Good base to visit Dartmoor but also the English Riviera, Totnes, Plymouth and Dartmouth. Recommended.

Carol and Russell gave my family and I a warm welcome on our first day.
Carol and Russell gave my family and I a warm welcome on our first day. They made sure we were comfortable and recommended plenty of local destinations and activities. When we had issues with the wifi they gave us their router so that the cottage maintained service without having to wait for the engineer. The cottage is beautiful and has been done to a high spec, it's been a pleasure to be one of their first guests. The location is peaceful and plenty of good walks nearby with a variety of attractions for all ages a short drive away. We definitely recommend staying at the cottage and would happily stay here again.
