About this cottage rental
Luminous by sunlight or starry nights, this gem of a casita reflects the natural beauty abundant in Boquete's highlands.
Lush trees and flowering shrubs enrich the scene no matter which direction you turn. Skies may be clear, filled the the mist that sources the formation of rainbows, or it may be raining the proverbial cats-and-dogs. No matter. You can count on the fresh mountain breezes to create an ever changing atmosphere.
And then, majestic Volcan Baru provides the focal point for sunsets and fast fleeting cloud formations. Set on a promontory, our casita allows your full enjoyment of these views!
Surrounded by one of the oldest continuously operating coffee plantations in Panama, you will enjoy the sights of the billowing traditional dresses of the women of the ngabe bugle tribe and the smiling faces of their impeccably uniformed children on their way to school. When in bloom, snowy, fragrant blossoms appear on the coffee trees. Later, crimson red cherries appear. And, soon after, when the pickers harvest the fruit by hand you will hear the native call and response as the men communicate with each other in the fields.
Depending on your stay you and your family or friends are sure to experience one or more of these never-to-be-forgotten cultural experiences.
Yet, the location, barely more than a mile to town, allows vacationers to indulge their desires to partake of Boquete's classic and "must try" international restaurants, shopping, gelato, hand-made chocolates and nightlife. Sampling the best coffees in the world goes without saying!
Whether you fancy a walk, a run or prefer to ride, the short trip on a (mostly) flat, paved road with sidewalks , takes you past lovely homes along the Caldera River and across one of the two bridges to Avenida Central, the street of all the above delights.
In and around the casita you will warm yourself at the coziness of a stone fireplace in front of which you will enjoy your home cooked meals. Fresh herbs from the terraced rock garden are sure to enhance your culinary creations. Since no vacation is complete without a barbeque, you will find a grill and expansive patio all set up for al fresco dining on those balmy evenings.
The casita is great room style with a separate primary sleeping room. In this separate sleeping room you will find a king bed and direct access to the fireplace and patio. A full wall of windows opens on to the patio, gardens and view to Volcan Baru.
The great room features the kitchen and general living areas...included are a queen sleep sofa and bunk bed with twin mattresses. Free-standing wardrobe cabinets and shelving provide ample space for luggage. The kitchen includes all the equipment you will need for a stay of a week to a few months. The bathroom has a pedestal sink and barrier-free shower.
Oh yes! Not to be forgotten...the casita is located in a small, upscale, gated community with three lovely park areas for safe, secure strolls alone or with your dog just outside your door.
We invite you to enjoy our special piece of paradise.
