A nice studio apartment, with amazing wildlife viewing at a good value.
Albert and Sharon provided great communication. Their second floor studio apartment was well appointed and supplied. The west end Molokai Kepuhi Beach Resort was a rather sad place, with over half of the condo buildings, restaurant, and all the shops boarded up an deteriorating badly. There is a small store available with few supplies. The pool is there, but it was closed when we tried to use it. Albert and Sharon's apt was fine, as was the building it was in and surrounding grounds. We had views of the big wave beach. The highlight for us was the wildlife - wild turkey, cardinals, pheasant, chukar, doves, quail, monarch butterflies, egrets, and I kid you not a herd of Axis deer that numbered 60-70 beautiful animals. The ghost town of Maunaloa was nearby, and two "rugged" non-swim-able in winter but pretty beaches, called Dixie Maru and Papohaku Beach. We enjoyed looking for sea shells. The main town on Molokai Kaunakakai is about a 25 minute drive away for amenities, restaurants and "hot bread" in the evenings at the fun Kanemitsu Bakery.

I'd give 6 stars for service!
First, Sharon was an amazing host. Starting with pre-booking (when I wasn't even sure I'd be staying with her) she was very helpful, providing advice and guidance about Molokai. And it kept going after booking and throughout the trip. Any time I had a question about the area, she got right back to me with helpful answers.
Second, the place itself is great. Unlike many other properties in the area, this has been renovated in a modern decor - dark wood cabinets, stainless steel. It looks sharp!
Other comments:
- Bed was great. Firm memory foam. Seemed new.
- View was awesome (FYI - nothing in this complex is truly "beachfront" but rather it's set back about 100 yard with some lawn before the beach).
- As most places in this area I imagine, it doesn't have A/C. But we arrived to two powerful fans going that did the trick.
Thanks so much Sharon. You made our vacation to paradise a dream come true!

Wonderful stay on "Hawaiis" little island
This property was nicely renovated and we very much enjoyed our stay here. Albert & Sharon could not have been more accommodating from beginning to end. We much appreciated the use of the car during our stay. If we had one minor negative it would be that the bed has a very firm mattress which for us was a little uncomfortable since we are side sleepers. However, this is personal preference and does not imply that it wasn't a high quality mattress. We still would not hesitate to highly recommend this property when visiting Molokai!

Lovely Totally Renovated Condo
The condo was remodeled beautifully. Two people would find it a perfect
fit. TV was good with access to Netflix. It was very comfortable with a king size bed. Nice view of the ocean. Very quiet. I would recommend it highly!

Perfect getaway in Hawaii
Cozy and well appointed condo, complete with ocean view from lanai. Spent 5 days here and enjoyed every minute. From the grounds with the wild turkeys and deer, to the bakery serving fresh bread out a window in a back alley nightly, it was all delightful! If we come back to Molokai, we will definitely stay here again. Owners are very nice and easy to deal with. Mahalo!

This place is a dream
Perfect little sanctuary for exploring the west coast. Looks even better than the pictures! Very comfortable bed and pillows, well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom, awesome view, perfect outdoor dining on the porch. The lofty ceilings and windows on all sides made it a perfect temperature. Sharon also had really fast communication and accommodated an early check in for us. We only stayed two nights (after 4 nights on the east side) and really wish we had stayed longer! The beaches on the west are so fun to explore. We walked down to the beach at the resort and then headed north towards Dixie Maru and found epic waves, a protected wading pool, incredible rock formations, and a big red cliff. Further south (10 min drive) was a great swimming beach. Magical place and we would love to come back and stay at this wonderful condo!

Break from the crowds..peace and Q-U-I-E-T
My husband and I visited Molokai for the first time and spent a few days at Kephui Beach Resort. Loved the "back in time" feeling of the island - understand why the islanders would like to keep Molokai as is. You travel here ONLY if you want peace, quiet and serenity. It is a beautiful spot of the world.
The Unit: Sharon and Albert have done a lovely renovation of the unit. The wood floors are beautiful. The bathroom modern and clean with a tub/shower combo & toilet in room. The sink vanity is outside the bathroom - well done!!. It is an end unit looking to the ocean and you can hear the waves crash!! It is small and cozy. There is no couch, just a chair next to the dresser/TV stand and two pub style chairs at the island. On the lanai there is a table with chairs as well. The bed is firm, lots of pillows. The kitchen runs along one wall. Cook top NO oven. Microwave - not convection. A common barbeque is just a ways from the unit. This unit did not have screens in some windows or at the sliding door, so we had a few bug visitors. NOTE: the sliding doors have screens in bottom portion, and above the doors in the vault of the wall - these do not close, so on windy cool nights - it gets cool. (also note that you hear your neighbors and they hear you. There is NO a/c. Not really needed as breezes are nice, but when there's humidity, there's humidity!! This is same for all the units I looked at. These are OLD units. Built in the late 70's and not the best workmanship from what we saw. At one time this was part of a huge complex of hotel & apartment style buildings. AT this time 1/2 of the buildings are unused and falling into disrepair. Very sad to see. HOWEVER, the part that is being used as the Kephui Beach Resort (that is a VERY loose term) is kept up, with lovely lawns and gardens. The pool is again, from the 70's. The buildings around the pool are closed up so it feels like you are post apocalypse down there (and around). Not necessarily bad, just be aware....
There are LOTS of trails to walk. The beach is lovely to sit on, watch the waves crash, watch a few surfers, not sure I would venture into it (maybe in the summer months??)
You are a good 25-30 minutes to a store of any kind so make sure you take provisions when going in. There is a small store there (open 9-5 every day) but more expensive than usual (and that's saying something because Molokai is pricey) but it has essentials (and a few non-essentials

Air dropped onto Gillian’s Island
First of all, our room was fantastic, Sharon and Albert have done a wonderful job renovating!
The island was everything and nothing at all like I thought it would be. It’s a really unique place, and in some ways hard to explain. I guess if I had to some it up... a small country town on a tropical island.
We loved our trip, and will be back!

This is the unit to book at Kepuhi Beach Resort!
Everything about this unit is fantastic! Beautiful, simple, clean decor. Completely remodelled and new! Everything you need is provided. The bed and pillows are super comfy. The view is fantastic! You can even see the view while laying in bed! The deck has the perfect high top table and stools to enjoy a cocktail and dinner at while watching the waves. The location is close to the BBQ so close to walk to. Highly recommend this condo!!!!!!

Serene and romantic
The room was beautifully adorned. Everything you could need or want in the kitchen. Even though it was a condominium I felt completely secluded and only steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the state. Highly recommend for a solo getaway, a romantic destination or a family friendly beach stay. Something for everyone!
