My husband and I loved our stay! The cabin gave us a private location that was just lovely! Walking from our front door directly onto the beach with views of the coral reef was gorgeous and the property's caretakers were so friendly. We truly enjoyed our time there and only wish we could have stayed longer!

The property is clean and comfortable. The drive there is long and bumpy in a golf cart so make sure your luggage is secure.
When you arrive the caretakers, Henry and Daniel are there to greet you and assist with your luggage. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking to them, they always greet you with a smile. They keep the grounds immaculate.
We took a few golf cart rides north to where the reef comes close to the shore but spent quite a bit of our time just relaxing at the cabin. The Chat and Chill restaurant is right beside you and we had the most amazing nachos there
Henry suggested a snorkel tour company and arranged for us to go and they picked us up right on our dock. I would highly recommend this property. Only thing was the wifi service was very bad .

My husband and I stayed for seven nights in this cute little house on the beach. The staff was very attentive and accommodated all of our requests. Very friendly! It's about a 45 minute drive north of the San Pedro airport. As others have said, the road for the last 25-30 minutes is very bumpy. It would probably be a good idea to look for a golf cart with really good suspension! :)
The little restaurant on the property (The Chat 'n Chill) is good for simple yummy meals when you don't want to take a drive to another restaurant. They also have a well stocked bar. There are several good restaurant options within a 15 minute drive. There is a great air conditioner in the bedroom if the days get hot. We enjoyed our relaxed getaway!!

This is secluded and there is a bumpy 45 min golf cart ride from town but it is definitely worth it!

Henry, Isis and Daniel were so easygoing and friendly that they felt like family. They accommodated our every want and need. It felt private. The air conditioner in the bedroom made for comfortable sleeping. Would consider returning in the future.

Isis and Henry were fabulous hosts. It’s a quiet and peaceful home. It is “10 miles north” and a very bumpy golf cart ride. I’d recommend renting a high quality golf cart with better suspension. We will be back!

Perfect Getaway
We had an amazing stay! Very relaxing way to unwind after the hectic holidays. As others have mentioned it is a ways out of San Pedro but if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. We were very very well taken care of by Henry and Izzy and look forward to coming back.

Great place!
We enjoyed our stay there. The property was great and the staff really friendly. Only downside is the road getting there being in such a bad shape and necessary to get to anywhere, but nothing they can do about it. Water taxi might be a good option.

Quite and Relaxing
We had a great week here away from the hustle and bustle of life. Went to town one day since it’s a 45 minute drive one way by golf cart. No need to go back with Chat and Chill a few steps away for food and drinks. Julia and Isis were awesome and even made us a great anniversary dinner. It was sooo good! Henry always checked to make sure all was good and if we needed anything. We could not of asked for any thing better with these individuals and enjoyed visiting with them, as well. Will definitely be on our list to stay in the future.

A true vacationing spot
Peaceful, quiet away from the crazy night life of San Pedro. We spent 5 days away from it all. This house is about a 45 minute golf cart drive away from the airport in San Pedro. If your looking to be in the middle of the crazy night life and crowded downtown area this place is not for you. But if your looking for a nice, quiet retreat then look no further. The staff was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Isis even cooked us a fish dinner one night with our daily catch. It was amazing! The Chat N Chill is a little restaraunt/bar area that is on the same grounds. Secret Beach is amazing and I would highly recommend going there for beautiful beaches. The Blue Bayou had amazing food with a laid back atmosphere. The beaches on the East side of the island were constantly covered in sea grass blowing in but you don't get that at Secret Beach. Highly recommend this unit for those looking to actually vacation and enjoy some downtime. A/C in the bedroom made for great sleeping!

A truly beautiful retreat from everything (almost)
This property is a great place to get away from the day to day and just stare in awe at the beauty surrounding you. My wife & I loved staying here. Now, it is a long haul from town (about 45 minutes on a golf cart, on a sometimes pothole filled drive), but the peaceful feeling you'll have relaxing on the porch, or in the pool, cannot be beat. There are enough local spots to hit up for food (check online for hours), but you also have the Chat & Chill to enjoy for a quick bite or drink (and the staff was top notch our whole trip - thanks everyone!). We can't recommend this property enough - IF you're looking to get away and have some peace and quiet. If you want to go into San Pedro, this place is a bit far away for a daily trip, in my opinion. But Secret Beach was an easy half hour away, the guest house was super comfortable, walking out on the pier to astound yourself with the star-filled sky, or just floating lazily in the pool, this place is fantastic.

Sandy Toes, Sensational Sunrises, and Seclusion
This little beachfront casita was just what the doctor ordered. A quaint casita with a breathtaking view. The beach is literally your front yard. The view from the front porch looked like a postcard. We also loved having the pool to use since the seaweed was out of control. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Isis was a lovely host at the Chat n Chill each time we went down for a drink or a meal. We loved visiting with Henry each day. He was so friendly and always helpful when we had a question or needed anything. If seclusion is what you are looking for and you want to unplug and unwind....this is your place! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

I can’t say enough about the staff - always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The house and amenities were beautiful and well maintained. We were a bit disappointed by the sea grass but you can’t help Mother Nature. We loved being able to walk down the Chat N Chill for snack and games. Charming Caribbean Casita
We had the most wonderful time staying at this casita and enjoying all the amenities the property offered. We arrived at night but were welcomed with a delicious dinner and drinks at the Chat-N-Chill. The casita is a truly charming inside and out and is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and were happy to be greeted by Noodle the Goldendoodle many mornings. We planned to use our kitchen to cook in the mornings but soon realized it was a nice luxury to simply walk over and start our day with a hot and fresh breakfast. The property is pristinely maintained from the moment you turn in. There is plenty of seating, swings and games to that add to this beautiful property. We experienced the abundance of sargassum but that didn’t stop us from relishing the pool and white sandy beach areas.
We enjoyed good food and company with the owners Jeff & Tamara and the other guest. We learned much about the island and life in Belize. Henry, Isis, Glendie, Balbina, and Adrian always greeted us with a smile and no request was too big or too small. They really go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable one. I love fresh coconuts and Henry happily delivered some to our casita and the ladies baked me cupcakes on my birthday, what a sweet surprise! We explored around the island on our golf cart during the day and returned in the evening to enjoy a relaxing dinner at the Chat-N-Chill. We were beyond happy with our time spent here and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here, it will certainly add to your experience of visiting Ambergris Caye. We look forward to returning one day!

Can't Control Mother Nature
We highly recommend this rental it is comfortable and clean and just like the photos. We can't say enough good things about the owners and people working for them - Henry, Isis, Glendie, Balbina, and Adrian were all so kind and helpful. Mother Nature dumped a bunch of Sargassum on the island and the staff did everything possible to clean it up and make our stay enjoyable. The beach wasn't nice for swimming even with Henry and Adrian raking all day, so we lounged by the pool, played yard games at the restaurant (while eating yummy fish tacos and drinking margaritas) and took our golf cart north to explore the northern end of the island. We couldn't have asked for a better response to dealing with the Sargassum that was washing in (we appreciated the half off "Sargassum Specials" at the Chat & Chill Restaurant and hanging out at the beautiful pool with the owners super friendly Goldendoodle.) We look forward to returning again next year!

Great away from it all
We escaped the cold weather for the perfect relaxing stay at the beachfront perfection casita. It was very clean and tidy and just as the photos advertise. The map location on HomeAway is accurate - it is in fact ten miles north of town (we loved being away from town, but if you are looking for nightlife every evening, the ride to town might wear on you) The road from town doesn't seem to be consistently maintained so the ride is slow - we were on island time so it wasn't an issue for us.
The fact that we rented a cottage on HomeAway and ended up with a staff of 5 to care for our every need from carrying the luggage to serving cocktails on our porch and at the pool was a huge perk -we felt quite spoiled at the end of the week and did not want to leave. Highly recommended - ML

Casita with the most amazing view
We had a wonderful week relaxing, fishing and swimming. The Casita is even more beautiful than the photos. The staff Henry, Isis, Adrian and Balbina made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
The fishing was great off the end of the peer - we caught a lot of bonefish - even the small ones give a good fight. We also caught snapper and fried them up for dinner one night - YUM!!!
We did not get a chance to meet the owners Jeff and Tamera but they were wonderful with directing us with where to get the golf cart and other helpful suggestions. I hope to meet them on our next trip.

Amazingly beautiful location, relatively private, well-kept grounds with friendly staff!
We had an amazing week here relaxing on the beach! The casita is nicely done, most of the time we had the beach to ourselves, and the Chat-n-Chill restaraunt had delicious food at reasonable prices served by friendly staff. The staff made us feel at home and welcome the whole time! If you want a place to get away from it all and enjoy a warm Carribean beach with coconut palms but without crowds, this place is perfect! Because of the reef just offshore, there are practically no waves on the beach and the water is shallow a long way from the shore. Be sure to do some snorkeling - we did a guided snorkeling tour of the reef, and went just on our own 4 miles up the beach where the reef touches the shore. Be sure to rent a golf cart, we had a lot of fun with it, especially driving north up the beach "road"! We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Chat & Chill Casita
Stayed at the casita before doing the large resort/wedding scene in Cancun. It did not take long to realize that 5 Days on Ambergris Caye were insufficient, and I should have planned a much longer stay. Jeff, Tamara, and their friendly staff do an amazing job maintaining this property. They are extremely knowledgeable, and a great source of information regarding local activities and history on the Island. They have established a number of local connections/relationships on the Caye and can point you in the right direction with questions and/or needs.
The casita itself is perfect for two guests. Fully functional/equipped kitchen is a nice change from eating out all of the time. Good airflow inside and the option of AC in the bedroom make for a comfortable temperature at night. Large and comfortable bed, plenty of towels/necessities, and no issues with bugs or insects during our stay!

Can't say enough nice things about this property. Hosts Jeff and Tamara were extremely friendly, gracious, and accomodating, always willing to give restaurant and activity recommendations. They always made themselves available without being obtrusive. The staff was outstanding and felt like family, always willing to help us out with anything - including getting our temperamental golf cart started every morning (Henry is definitely the "cart-whisperer")! Having access to the small restaurant, the Chat & Chill was great. It was nice to have internet and the option to have food right there on the property if desired. The food was always very good (and don't miss out on the perfect margaritas!) ... definitely take advantage of the chef's dinner made by Tamara if it is offered! Like most of the beach areas along this part of Ambergris caye, swimming options were limited because of seagrass and boat traffic. But, there were some great beaches within a 40 minute golf cart ride that were great for snorkeling and enjoying the water. We definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you stay here so that you can see and experience all Ambergris caye has to offer. We found this property to be exactly as it was represented (better, in fact) on the VRBO web site. Anybody looking for something beautiful, clean, safe, and secluded will love this place. The casita was clean and extremely well appointed. Fantastic finishes; we'd like to build one for myself some day. The access to water and the nearby barrier reef were great. Also not far from even more secluded points north on Ambergris Caye and posh resorts to the south for high-end dining. It was a bit of a hike to San Pedro, but we expected that. The road was rustic. The only factor that was a negative (not really for both of us though) was the trash on the beach north of Chat N Chill. We understood that a hurricane carried much of it to the shores in 2016, but the sight of so much plastic refuse was a bit of a turn-off. There was plenty of cleaned and beautiful beach to be found, however. Overall, a wonderful experience; we hope we can come back some day.

Tamara and Jeff have created an oasis of beautiful relaxation and hospitality ten miles north of San Pedro. The lodging is incredibly clean and cozy and perfectly positioned for sunrise and starry nights. The staff consists of Adrian, Belbina, Henry, and Isis and they do a wonderful job of making sure every request is not only met, but exceeded. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the meals at Chat N Chill are wonderful. Thank you all for making a cousin (prima) vacation so memorable and enjoyable!

We stayed in the casita for a week in February and it was absolutely lovely. The house is charming and comfortable -- and right on the beach! Even the bed was comfortable, which is rarely the case with vacation rentals. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a grill a few feet away at the nearby Chat N Chill restaurant on the property. The porch is a great place for breakfast in the morning to watch the sunrise. The owners and property staff were very helpful and friendly. The house is a bit far from town on a bumpy road, so you have to take time to plan ahead for provisions, but the peace and tranquility of the location are worth it. We rented a golf cart, but it might have been faster and more economical to rely on water taxis if you do not plan on taking trips everyday. Overall, we highly recommend!

This property is just as advertised, "Beachfront Perfection". A beautiful house on a beautiful property. We researched several properties before making the reservation. This property is a great value. A great spot to get away from it all. The owners and staff were great hosts. They were there for our every need, but invisible any other time. Some days we saw more iguanas that people. It is a long way from town, but once you buy a few groceries, there is no need to go back to San Pedro. Perfect spot to explore the northern parts of the islands. A beautiful coast drive up to Tranquility Bay.
We usually rent a cottage/house like this for our beach vacations. This was the best. Been to several island in the Caribbean and this is a perfect spot. Easy to get to Belize, and well worth the cart ride to this property.
If you stay here, make sure you read the arrival instructions that the owners will give you. It make getting to Ambergis Caye and the property a breeze.

We could not have been happier with our stay!! They always accommodated our every need. The accommodations are 5 Star with amazing grounds and beach views! The pictures provided are what you get plus way more!! The Chat n Chill restaurant onsite was excellent and if you don't want to leave you don't have too!! Very relaxing trip!! The trip by road on golf cart does take some time (40-45min on Rough stretch of road) from San Pedro airport but is MORE than worth it and worth having transportation to explore island which we did. Don't hesitate and book an amazing location for a couple or family. Thank you Tamara for ensuring our cart was available due to our late arrival on a Sunday!!!

My wife and I hesitate to be truthful because we plan to return and don't want to give out the secret of this place. The owners were informative and great to talk with. Tamara is a great cook and always say yes to her offer of a home cooked meal. Jeff was great as well, offering fishing information and always willing to help.

My spouse and I just completed our first visit to Belize and we managed to bounce around to a number of different areas to experience all this amazing little country has to offer. Our last stop was staying in this wonderful little casita north of San Pedro. The casita itself was very clean, well appointed and had everything we needed to chill out for the week. If Martha Stewart had a Belizian Beach House this would be it. What really made our experience wonderful was the "Team" and the pride they took in looking after us. Thank you Isis, Bina, Adrian and Henry for adding to our memorable holiday. Oh yeah, Jeff and Tamara, the owners, were pretty cool too and helped us with a lot of the pre-planning for getting to and around San Pedro.

our first trip to Ambergris Caye, the property is very easy to find even though its a ways from the San Pedro Airport. The listing is accurate, we liked having a nice sized/well equipped kitchen as we don't like to eat out all the time, and the Chat n Chill is a convenient dining option, along with others up and down the road. Bed is very comfortable for us 'older' types. Can't say enough nice things about the helpful, friendly staff; Adrian, Henry, Isis, Balbina. The owners were very helpful and informative also. Good spot if you don't want to do much, and also good if you are adventurous and want to see the 'sights' besides the usual water activities, take the time to drive your cart north to Rocky Point where the reef meets the land, and over to Secret Beach on the bay side.
