About this house rental
Close to the Wild Atlantic Way route, Dunroman house was purpose built as a luxury four star Irish Tourist Board approved guest-house. It has operated as a guest-house until 2011 and due to change of circumstances is now available for vacation rental. It is located next door to the owner’s private accommodation. There are four spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite recently refurbished private bathrooms. The three largest rooms each have a double queen size bed and a single bed, and the fourth room has one double queen size bed. A childrens cot / crib is available as is an adjustable high chair. All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated with clean white paintwork and beautiful knotted French pine wooden floors. All the rooms in the house comply with the Irish Tourist Board four star guesthouse standards.
Linen and towels are supplied, as are all utilities, and some basic foodstuff such as tea and coffee etc.
The house is located in a quite country setting, beside the N86, 3 miles / 5 Km from the town of Dingle, 27 miles 45 Km from Tralee and 40 miles / 66 Km from Killarney. There are some spectacular mountain scenes from the bedroom windows and the sea and many beautiful beaches are only minutes away.
Dingle peninsula stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf stream. This results in a very temperate mild climate where exotic plants are common and many rare fish are found around this part of the coast.
The peninsula has some of the most scenic walking tracks in the country, the “Dingle Way” probably being the best known among walkers. The Dingle peninsula has numerous prehistoric archaeological sites of great historical interest and a guided archaeological tour can be easily arranged. Experience unique gems such as the 9th century Gallurus Oratory, and the early christian beehive huts. In more modern times, Dingle peninsula is famous for being the location of “Ryan’s Daughter” the David Lean- Bob Mitchum- Sarah Miles film made in 1969 and “Far and Away” the 1992 film starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
The Dingle peninsula has been voted “the most beautiful place on Earth” by the National Geographic. It has also been voted one of the top 100 destinations in the world and has been recently recommended by CNN as a very favourable winter destination.
The peninsula offers some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery, rugged and raw, wild and untamed. Parts of the peninsula are still Gaelic speaking, and all of the peninsula is extremely welcoming to visitors.
Various boat tours can be arranged in advance for our guests, such as a guided one hour harbour tour, a guided marine eco tour to the Blasket islands, a trip to land on the Great Blasket island for two and a half hours. Weather permitting, of course, for all trips. For more details check out our website at Dingle Boat Tours.
Deep sea angling trips can also be arranged and all gear is provided on the boats. Some of our guests like to catch their own fish and then cook it back in Dunroman for dinner - you can’t get fresher than that! For the committed angler, there are numerous shore angling spots that are good for bass, pollock, mackerel, wrasse etc. If your preference is lobster, crab or crayfish, the owners can arrange to buy it fresh from the boats for you to cook for that special meal.
Dingle town is 3 miles / 5 Kilometres from Dunroman. It is a small town with a native population of 1,600 which swells to 5,000-6,000 during the summer. Dingle is renowned for punching above its weight in many respects, and is known all over the world as one of the primary holiday destinations in Ireland. At one time the town boasted 52 pubs, but this has reduced somewhat over the recent years. There are still some old world traditional pubs that have remained unchanged for hundreds of years- hardware on one side of the saloon, bar counter on the other side. Many of Dingle’s pubs have free entertainment most nights, usually traditional music and song. Dingle is probably one of the top gourmet destinations in Ireland, and was awarded 'foodie town of Ireland' in 2014, with its many award winning restaurants. Many of the bigger bars also do really good value meals, lunches and dinners. The Dingle Food and Wine Festival held over the first weekend of October is always a very well attended and popular event. Dingle, or “ Daingean Uí Chúis” in Gaelic, was established 700 years ago as a Norman walled town. Some of the old town wall is still visible. It was once a major commercial port doing trade with Spain and Portugal back in the 18th. and 19th centuries, and since then an important fishing port, but over recent decades, Dingle has become the primary tourist destination of South West Ireland, since the early 70's when the MGM movie 'Ryans Daughter' was shot here.
Dingle aquarium is probably the best of its kind in Ireland. The vast array of local sealife is featured, as well as an amozonian section. There is a shark tank, an underwater glass viewing tunnel, and the most recent addition is a penguin enclosure. There is also a well stocked souvenir shop and a coffee shop.
There are numerous activities for young and old available, both indoor and outdoor. For those who just want to relax and wind down, there are beautiful walks through the surrounding country lanes, where the only traffic you are likely to meet is a farmer going about his work, who most likely will stop and talk to you for a while.
You can have all your holiday activities pre-arranged for you by the owners, or you can 'play it by ear' as they say here. The choice is yours, but whatever your plans, Tom and Noeline will do their best to ensure that you go back home relaxed and happy with your stay.

What a beautiful and perfect spot for 10 of us to stay! We had so much space and the home was very welcoming and clean. Hosts were lovely.

Having stayed in a number of short term rentals during our Irish vacation, this accommodation was a favorite for all of us. The hosts went over the top with providing snacks and food for our arrival. It's a big roomy home with plenty of space for all.,

We had a lovely stay. It was very convenient that the four bedrooms were split into sets of two separated by doors so that each family had their own side. Everything was in wonderful condition and it was clean and a lovely place to stay.

Very comfortable house. Great for a family or a get together. Lots of space and all bedrooms have en-suites. Host very friendly and kind, left us a big bowl of fruit and everything for an Irish breakfast.

My family and I (group of 8 adults, 3 children and 1 infant) enjoyed an amazing stay at the property, which was exactly as described. The house was extremely spacious and the layout was ideal, with each bedroom providing lots of privacy and containing a separate bathroom. Additionally, the hosts (Noeline and Tom) were happy to answer any questions we had in advance and were extremely personable during the check-in and check-out processes. They even went as far as surprising my Dad with a cake, card, and a bottle of wine for his 70th birthday - I didn't even recall disclosing that this was the reason for our stay so this really exemplified the lengths to which the hosts were willing to go to to ensure that our stay was enjoyable as possible. Sincerest thanks once again to Noeline and Tom for their amazing hospitality!

If you have a big group and are looking for a place to stay in Dingle, this house is a perfect choice. Very quick, easy drive into town. Noelene was very sweet and helpful!

Large enough to hold all ten in our extended family in comfort. A bathroom attached to each bedroom, plus one on the main floor as well. A dining area that could seat 12, and plenty of comfortable seating in two living room areas. It is a gift that owner Noeline Hand lives next door -- easy to consult with her about how the grill works or how to adjust the heat, for example. The views are spectacular: grandkids will be exclaiming forever about waking up to see "real cows" right outside their window.

We had a great stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The home was spacious for our family of 7 and nice and clean. Noeline was an excellent, hospitable host. She was patient with our late arrival. She was a great listener and looked up information for us based on our questions and concerns for our schedule. She also bought a few groceries for us to be able to cook breakfast. The showers were nice and hot and her dog was very friendly with our kids. We would stay here again.

House was very spacious for our family of 11 which included 2 babies. Delighted that all rooms had en-suites with plenty of towels and all other necessary bathroom accessories. The pods for washing machine were great as we had to do a washing for baby. A lovely bowl of fruit and food in fridge were very welcome. The family were very helpful and friendly and we had a very special wedding weekend in dingle.

The accommodation was perfect for our stay. Very well equipped and amazing complimentary breakfast and home made bread, etc. Very spacious and great location near to Dingle with easy access into the house and plenty of parking space. The host was warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Clean place with views of the countryside. Noeleen was very helpful and always accessible as we had some difficulties finding the place. There was breakfast provided with homemade bread. She advised where we could go for restaurants and food. Highly recommend this place. It’s minutes away from Dingle (which I believe may have tours to Skelig Michael island—so worth the trip if you are able to climb up those steep steps and two hours away from Portmagee which was where our Skelig Michael boat tour left).

It’s not easy finding accommodations for 8 people, but this property more than met that requirement. We had a mix of both veteran and rookie travelers and we all found this house to be a perfect place to start and end each day, as we took several day trips in and out of Dingle. Kitchen has everything we needed, plenty of space, and all the bedrooms were spot on. Tom and his wife we very helpful and easy to get ahold of. You won’t regret coming here

Jolene and Tom welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable. The house was great! Such interesting nautical and history books, comfortable living room and dining room. Jolene gave us the tour and explained everything we needed to know. They provided local information, too. We were able to set up a driver/guide for travel up the Slea Head Road. Thanks, Elaine! The fridge was well stocked with everything needed to make a full Irish breakfast! This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it for those visiting the Dingle area. Thank you Jolene and Tom!

Beautiful home
Our family of six spent two lovely days here. The home is fully stocked with everything you could need. Fridge filled with full Irish breakfast products for two days. Beds were clean and very comfortable with enough room for at least 14 people in four rooms, all with ensuites. Dining area table seated 14 people. Dingle is an easy five minute drive and Slea Head and Conor Pass are very accessible. Cost was quite low, especially when compared to similar properties. Thank you to the hosts.

Our holiday in Dingle
The house was well equipped and spacious. Owners home is attached to the property. House located on the Lispole to Dingle Road N 86. Both bedrooms to the front of the property had excessive noise from a very busy road. However it was a lovely area to visit with beaches and an array of attractions.

Delightful Dingle
We had a lovely welcome from Noleen when we arrived who showed us around the house. Fresh flowers in the sitting room and dining room along with fresh fruit greeted us. Breakfast staples in the fridge along with fresh bread and eggs which were very welcome as we arrived late evening. The house was clean and fresh and very spacious which accommodated our family group comfortably. We availed of Tom's generous boat trip which we all enjoyed on Tuesday in the sunshine. Dingle is a delightful place to visit. Beautiful beaches and scenery. Ventry beach is beautiful and very accessible. Great value to be had in aran jumpers in Kerry Wollen Mills. Lovely pottery in Penny's pottery close by ventry beach. Good quality handmade leather belts in Uisce Dingle leather shop made to size. Great seafood available in restaurants especially 'Out of the Blue restaurant '. We had a lovely holiday. We will be back again. Thanks

Fantastic base for Dingle & wonderful beaches
This is our second year staying here & I’d highly recommend this property & our lovely hosts. This is a spacious house, each room is en-suite, there’s a lovely dining room & living room space in addition to a sun room and space to hose down wet suits or dry them out! We had lovely weather so were on a beach most days & there’s a fantastic selection of great beaches in this wonderful part of the world. We had a complimentary boat trip which was really enjoyable & yet another great reason to stay here. Thanks again Noeline & Tom, we look forward to visiting again!

Excellent property & lovely hosts
The location & quality of this house is fantastic, 4 fine sized rooms each en-suite, large living & dining room, kitchen, sun room & outdoor space to relax, dry wetsuits etc. We really enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend this property. I had some questions in advance which Tom was happy to answer, so efficiently & quickly. Noeline is a wonderful host, any query is addressed immediately, there was a welcome gift, fruit, breakfast items including home made brown bread - all which positively added to our stay. The trip to see Fungi was one of the highlights of our trip, truly delightful. Dingle is a brilliant location which so much to see & do, a memorable holiday & we look forward to going back.

9 Person Stay in Dingle.
About 3 miles from Dingle, this home was an excellent base for our 9 person, 3 night trip. The house was spacious, comfortable and offered most amenities we needed. You have to be able to drive/take taxis from/to here as the road to Dingle is unwalkable. I would highly recommend this home, and would choose to stay there again.

Our # 1 Place in Ireland
My family loved Dingle we all voted on our favorite town. All 9 said Dingle, even the 2 teenagers enjoyed it. The people (everyone we met ) were so helpful and nice. We traveled all over Ireland and the Dingle Wool store had the best prices for the Irish wool's. The house was perfect for our large group. Each couple had their own rooms with bathrooms. The house has plenty of rooms to enjoy different areas for each group. Watching TV, playing cards or just talking about plans for the next day. We enjoyed the fact that the house is a few miles out of town. The breakfast items left for us by the owners was amazing, the 16 year old fell in love with the bacon and fresh brown bread. Our cab driver's taking us home after pub visits was super fun and they gave us advise on what to visit along our way to Northern Ireland. All agree we want to go back to Dingle and stay here again. Our only advice is be ready for great food, friendly people and a relaxing time.

Perfect visit, already thinking of a return visit next year
House was great. Clean and comfortable, close to town with comfortable beds. We even had access to a BBQ around the side of the property.
Hosts were perfect. Nearby when you needed them but otherwise left us to ourselves. No complaints and will likely be back in future
