Quiet peaceful ocean front get away

Quiet, 15 min walk to town via beach or road.

While security wasn't an issue in my stay I would have preferred to have access to a security box in the room especially considering the windows to the room do not lock. Ac in main bedroom only. Might be an issue for additional guests in other sleeping quarters if visiting in the January-June.

Beautiful private stay on the beach!

Perfect secluded-feeling spot along the beach, only 10 minutes walk into town. Our room was large (with air-conditioning) and had ample outdoor space to hang out. The owners are really friendly and helpful and their dogs and bird are very cute. We started by staying here 5 days and ended up staying 3 weeks we loved it so much. Great place to come and slooooow down. You won't regret staying here!

Superb

Are you kidding me? A little gem in the middle of nowhere! A super easy walk into town if you want to mix it up, but just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful setting right on the beach. With the super friendly staff and kitchen in the room, it felt like a home away from home. The gardens were beautiful, and the rooms are decorated with fun art depicting the Canoa area.

Great vibes, owners and staff

This was our second time to the property because it's a great location and canoa is quite. The owners are great and the staff are really friendly. We love the chilled vibes and the food is great at the bar too.

Small issue is the lack of cookig stuff in the rooms. But if you need anything just ask and they will provide.

Very generous breakfasts! And very tasty!

At one point the water turned off without warning, I think due to work that was being done. I was in the middle of a shower. Could have used a note to adjust.

A space to relax

Away from the touristy stuff, parties. The view is amazing, the dogs are friendly, Ziggy the bird is so cute! The food is amazing and the rooms clean and comfortable.

Lack of communication, meaning little english. The restaurant was closed one night, no notice given. Breakfast should be included for the price

Little gem

Canoa Suites is really a little gem and you can see it is done with taste and love. We also love it that it is far away from the crowd and we enjoyed its tranquility. Our room with sea view was very clean and spacious, the bathroom has hot water and plenty of towels provided, every day dry towels, wifi was strong, a big filtered water dispenser at free disposal. Tex-mex menu is varied and the staff at the restaurant especially David and Cynthia were very friendly.

Nothing. So far the best place we have stayed along the Ecuadorian coast.

Exceptional

The staff and atmosphere at Canoa Suites is everything you could want in a beach getaway. The staff is relaxed and friendly, the rooms are beautiful, casual and spotlessly clean, the food is fresh and delicious. I will be back!

Guests should be aware the rooms are not air conditioned, but the steady ocean breeze and in room fan makes it unnecessary.

A lot of potential here but overall we left disappointed and felt the property was not a good value

Hotel location is great, food and drinks were good enough but we felt it was a bit pricey. Property was nice the bartender made good drinks and the staff was friendly.

Room was large but very basic amenities. Could of done without the dogs vomiting and defecating all around the areas where we walked.

Not a good value for the price paid.

large clean room, friendly staff.

No air conditioning in our room, no beach chairs or umbrellas, no swimming pool. Breakfast was an extra cost, property was quite to town. No soap in the shower dispenser, or on the sink, when we asked for the soap dispenser to be filled we were given a half bar of hand soap.

Fantastic apartment and property near a great beach!

The location back from the dunes and a little outside of the town was excellent. Fantastic beach and ocean waves. Small number of units so great feeling of privacy and closeness to nature at the same time the beautifully landscaped property and restaurant are there when you need them. Great staff! We need a full kitchen so this really worked well for us!
