Je suis venu pour me reposer d’un long voyage, et cet endroit est idéal. On peut entendre le son du silence, c’est merveilleux.

Amazing surroundings
Confortable room and clean shared bathroom
Great food + quite cheap (14 breakfast and 24 dinner) for Switzerland considering the quantity and quality
Expensive but is to be expected in Switzerland

Really beautiful place and location, and very welcoming staff!!

Beautiful building and nice surrounding, very friendly staff. The room was simple but sufficient and I had all I needed for one night. WIFI is not available in the rooms (on purpose), only in the public areas.
Only suggestion for improvement that I have: please put a mosqito net in front of the room windows. Since there is no A/C and it was a warm evening, I opened the window and had to deal with about 10 mosquitoes during the night. That woud be worth to invest and guarantee a safe and quiet sleep.

A beautiful character building in the lovely Swiss countryside.
It was warm in the room with no air-con or fan. Many mosquitoes came in through the open window. An inexpensive plug-in mosquito repellent pad would have made all the difference.

The location was really nice and quite. It is outside of the town so there is no traffic or noise. The small forest is nice to walk through.
Well…the hotel should really indicate that it is a cloister (and maybe not even allow for booking on Booking.com) What was totally unacceptable was that a guest knocked at my room at 21:10 to tell me we must respect praying time and go to bed as 21:00 is silence time. We were not informed of any „curfew“ and we were not loud- had actually been out most of the time and for that half an hour we spoke (at normal levels) with windows open (it was a heat wave) we got told off by a guest.

Excellent place to go into retreat by yourself.
Not a typical hotel you expect, but still if you’re looking for a place to stay in serene, quiet and beautiful place to be alone for a night or two, I highly recommend.

We loved the location because it was quiet, near nature, farm like. Great view of the mountains. The building looks great as well. Very comfortable.

Loved the setting and the building. Very quiet and charming. The rooms were sparse, but comfortable. The breakfast was good.
Staff was not as helpful as we had hoped.

The ubication and environment, the buildings, the peace around
The snack machine was empty and the fridge didn’t have a huge choice (not even a bier)

Garden, the outside environment. Relax and quietness.
The pleasure of the breakfast depends on the service. Very small toilets. Coffee was bad.

An amazing location, which delivers on the value. Located just outside of Puidoux, the Crêt-Bérard offers a rare escape from city hotels and noisy surroundings. Even on the way up to the hotel, where the road was partly blocked by sheep on a walkbout, I felt my brain slow down and the relaxation level rise. I had asked for a room with a double bed, and when I found the room in the labyrinth of hallways and stairs, I was very positively surprised. The room was small and simple, but it had double bay doors that opened up to fields and hills. It was an amazing view, and sleeping with the doors open and hearing cowbells was wonderful. The reception called me while I was on my way, and provided me with the code to the door, and told me where I could find my key - excellent service.
Only one thing could have been better - well I guess it's two things with a common theme.... The restaurant closed for dinner at 8pm , and only opened for breakfast at 07:30am..... For a business traveler arriving at 8:30pm and leaving at 7am (which is neither especially late nor early) this means no dinner and no breakfast. Not ok....
