About this house rental
Our property is located about a mile east of the Castle Rock County Park. We are about 20 miles north of Wisconsin Dells, 8 to Northern Bay Golf, 12 to Roch-A-Cri State Park. Handicap accessible.
Minimum stay is flexible. Excellent location! Large, spacious, 'cabin like' home on 10 wooded acres to play and roam. Sleeps 19 in beds comfortably with additional sofa/futon sleep options. Two full baths. Wildlife outside 3 large patio doors. Large attached furnished deck with fire pit. Wood can be gathered right on site. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, griddle and crock pots.
Launch your boat and spend the day on Castle Rock Lake waterskiing or fishing. The lake has many restaurants/pubs with public piers to park your boat, live outdoor bands during the day and beach volleyball. Jet skis, pontoon boats available for rent from nearby Big Papa's Pontoon Rentals. Enjoy the playground or sandy beach at the nearby park (with public boat launch) Take a day trip to Wisconsin Dells. Play 9 or 18 holes at the renowned Northern Bay Golf Course. Close access to ATV routes and snowmobile trails. Have dinner in a crock pot waiting for when you return or fire up the camp style charcoal grill. Then spend the evening playing games on the large indoor and outdoor tables and roast marshmallows over the fire pit.

Cabin is stocked with many TV DVD player and wide selection of DVDs, blue tooth speaker, poker chips, volleyball net, board games, sand and yard toys. Washer and dryer, bed linens and kitchen towels are provided. Bath and beach towels are not provided to reduce laundry needs.
Interior has maple cabinetry, hardwood and tile flooring, pine car-siding and trim, stone surround fire place with electric insert. Mosquito free attached porch for gatherings inside with an outside feel. Porch has additional dining table and chairs. Pets welcome for additional fee. We liked the county park which was close and well maintained.
Spent a lot of times in the Dells (25min.away) Noahs Ark, Dells boat tours, and walking the strip. Also, Knuckle Heads bowling and arcade and the outlet mall next door when the weather looked rainy.

We had a great time here with a swim team of 10 plus coaches. There is a ton of space to spread out and sleep too. We hit up Noah’s Ark and the Dells plus tubed down the river. Had a great fire and played some volleyball on their net as well.

We had a wonderful weekend with family! We were 3 "parent" couples and all our adult children, so the spiral staircase was not an issue. I gave accuracy of listing only a 3 star, as one of the bedrooms was listed as having two double beds and a twin, but it did not. I missed the listing description that said "sleeps 19 in beds" and went by the listings "Rooms & beds" that indicated the place sleeps 25. We were a little confused when we started assigning beds to everyone. Fortunately, we had a couple of no shows in our group, and a few that were only there for 1 or 2 of the 3 nights, and the right number of guys/gals and married couples, so we were able to accommodate everyone. Other than that, we loved the place. Made ample use of the fire pit, and the screened porch was great for storing suitcases, rather than truck them up the spiral stairs. We went to both Adams County and Juneau County parks and enjoyed the water, sand, and especially the sand volleyball court at Juneau.

We enjoyed the house. It was clean and had most everything thing we needed. It would be nice if the was a gameroom but it all worked out well. We played our board games and visited. Was nice to beable to have everyone under one roof. I'm sure in summer would be even better because has a beautiful screen porch and patio area. Thanks for shsring your house with our family.

Lots of sleeping space available. Lots of parking. Large family room is nice. Only 2 bathrooms is difficult for large groups. Washing and drying the bedroom linens is a major turnoff on departure morning! Bad odor and rotted food found in dishwasher upon arrival. Overall is a fair value for a large group. Advertisement of price doesn’t state that there is an additional per person per night fee for every person after 12. Other places we have rented did not charge for a “base rate” and then per person after that.

Our Nonprofit Group has rented this location twice this year and both times we have enjoyed it! The house is great and has everything you’d need, the surrounding woods are beautiful and filled with wildlife that we saw regularly. Definitely recommend and we intend on coming back!

There was 10 of us all adults. Although the house can sleep 16 some of the beds were more for kids not adult men 200+ lbs.
The house does have more than enough seating for sitting around and playing games both in and outside.

Overall a decent place to stay in the middle of the woods. Not as clean as described, and we found a snake in the shower. There was many beds with sheets that had stains on them, but overall nice quiet cabin in the woods.

We stayed here for our annual 4 generation vacation and were very pleased with the property. We had 11 people ranging in age from 9-81. We loved the open concept and the large seating area in both the living room and the kitchen. We were able to seat all of us at the table at dinner time. The three bedrooms on the main floor worked great for our older generations and the upstairs was perfect for the younger generations.There was more than enough sleeping space. The yard had a lot of room for yard games, plenty of parking for our boat, UTV trailer and 5 vehicles. The deck was for great for some fresh air with plenty of seating. I liked that the firepit was close enough to the cabin that we could run in and out to get drinks and smores easily. The cabin was secluded yet close enough to a town to get anything you need.
The only negatives were the bathrooms. There's only one common one on the main floor, which was a little inconvenient for those staying up stairs. The other bathroom is attached to the main suite and it was a little uncomfortable to walk thru someones room to use it. It worked fine in our family setting but maybe not with a group of friends.

Floors and counters were still wet when we arrived at check in time. Our paperwork said that we needed to bring our own coffee grounds or pods for the Keurig that was on site. Our son and his wife brought pods and we were unable to find the Keurig. I texted the owner and she said that it broke. When I told her that our son was disappointed, she said with an exclamation point, there were four other coffeemakers at the cabin. That doesn't help much when you only brought pods. We were also very short on refrigerator space. The cabin is supposed to sleep up to 25, but has the refrigerator space for a family of 6. Everyone used the coolers they transported food in and had to keep replenishing the ice to keep food safe for the week. There is plenty of space for an extra refrigerator in the basement. We appreciated the close proximity to the county park beach and also the availability of the County Market in Adams. The firepit area was nice and enjoyed by our family. The song of the whippoorwill in the evening was an added bonus.

House was great, property was great, accommodations were great. The only hiccup is we were provided with inconsistent information regarding the cleaning procedures. The email that was sent prior to arrival gave instructions on additional cleaning responsibilities to complete to have your cleaning fee refunded. There were other instructions at the house that gave instructions on how to complete these additional cleaning tasks. But then provided with checklists for a turndown service to complete. So on our departure date we spent multiple hours cleaning the house top to bottom to avoid cleaning fee. But after departure the property host said the prior year they got rid of those optional cleaning duties and they would not be refunding me for any cleaning fees because the turnover service does all that additional cleaning. Inconsistent information provided, we would have like to enjoy our last morning drinking coffee and visiting with family, rather than busting our butts cleaning the whole house (and then not get our cleaning fee refunded). I’m sure the turnover service will either have an easy day or the next person staying will have an exceptionally clean house!

We had 21 total people. Very comfortable. Wish there were more than 2 bathrooms. Hard to get the laundry done by checkout with that many people. The property is beautiful and private. Fire pit was awesome to have on a very cold night. Wish we could use the inside fireplace as well. Overall fun weekend.

we held a small get together with 12 people and it was the perfect stay! there was plenty of room and the location was great too. we didn’t get much of a chance to venture outdoors due to weather and so we definitely spent a lot more time indoors than planned and we still had a great weekend. i look forward to booking from leean in the future.

There were some issues that could have made our stay better. Coffee pot, has an 8 cup coffee maker. (I did suggest them to get a bigger coffee pot.) Shuts off after 4 cups brewed. (Not everyone has $$ to buy pods for, or wants to use a Kuerig )Also a sheet on 1 of the king size beds had a tear across the sheet. No mattress protectors available on some beds. Instructions were to leave mattress pads and blankets on bed, and to only wash sheets. ( next time i will bring my own bedding, thanks)1 of the toilet brush holders had toilet paper,with mold growing ,in the brush holder. TV in bedrooms did not work. WiFi also spotty ( something not in control of owner/ caretakers)

This was a nice secluded home with no views of neighbors-lots of trees for your viewing! The home presents as a family home that has been in the family for years, with that being said, pots/pans to cook with are not the greatest just due to their use over many years. Lots of stuff in the kitchen which made it a challenge to find things- however everything overall was nicely labeled throughout the house! If you want to just get away from the city...this is the place to be! Bring bug spray and have your eyes on the look out for lots of deer!
