Where to starts... Hukum, his wife and their little boy are amazing! They are some of the most hospitable and genuine people that we have met during our trip. After 5 days with them, we were super sad to leave! They make you feel like you are part of the family. The food is delicious and they make sure to switch it up as well. Also, Hukum is super knowledgable and can explain a lot about the village and the jungle. He also helped us to book our bus ticket and tuktuk for our next destination which was appreciated.
Everything was perfect!! If you are looking for a fancy experience, this isn't it. This is an authentic nepali experience.

it was a cozy homey room with everything you need. the place was beautiful and the people were nice.
it is further than the rest of the property’s from the entrance.

It's kind of farm stay in the middle of fields and crops. Very friendly host, treated me just like family..
They serve food made from freshly plucked vegetables grown organically in their own kitchen garden. Fresh air, water and simple people with big heart. Wifi available.
It could help if wifi has backup.
As it is situated in the middle of jungle, I recommend to carry insect repellers.

We had an amazing 5 days at Jungle base camp. Hukum could not do enough to make your our stay special. The enthusiasm from him and the rest of the Bardia team was incredible. Great value for money would highly recommend.

My stay at Jungle Base Camp was exceptional. Hukum is an amazing host. He will do his best to make your stay great (including refilling the fridge with beers as many times as needed...). You will get to share his daily life with his family. I had great conversation with him, and learnt a lot about the reality of Nepal while I was there. The lodges are simple but with all what is needed. The food is all organic and homemade, made with what grow in the garden. I recommend this place 100%.

The place is relaxing and quiet. The bathroom is attached in each room and clean. It is isolated and you can feel peace. The owners are friendly and kind. The owner is really attentive and active. His wife is always attending and asking us what we need. They are really good person. Hikom, the owner, is 30 years plus experienced guide for jungle. We even saw the tigers on our first day of jungle walk. Happy and satisfied that I chose jungle base camp as my stay while I am in bardiya.

The main thing for this property is the friendliness of Hakuum (the owner / guide, as well as his family.)
I went on two walking safari’s. No tigers but rhino, wild boar etc.
It’s cheap and not fancy, but also in a small village. His wife cooks good local food at reasonable prices.
No running hot water, but they will heat up a bucket of water to wash if you ask. They also provided an extra blanket as it gets quite chilly at night.
Mosquito nets are also provided.
A towel to use during the stay would be nice. Also I had a good size spider in the room but can’t really do much there for location.

Very nice place. Hukum and his wife are very kind. Food was really good. Everything (food, beer, room, guide for the jungle) comes at an affordable cost which is pretty cool when you have a tiny budget like us.
Highly recommended :)

Very nice place and very nice family. They're super kind and helpfull.
Is very difficult to reach bardia by local bus, has been a loonng looooong trip. It worth it, but is very tiring and stressfull.
Very beautiful day in the jungle, from sunrise to sunset... We spotted rynos, deers, monkey, crocodiles, birds but unfortunately no tigers.. Even if we were really close to them cause we could see the signs around, but of course is not garanted to spot them.
The rooms are cozy and nice but Basic, the area is calm, there is not a lot around, is real wild life. Spiders, big lizzards, mice are daily friends. There is no menù, you eat what the family Cook for you daily.. And to be honest was very good! Tea, specially, is amazing 😊
