Very nice day owner was very helpful with check-in

I absolutely loved our stay at this home in Bass Lake. The host was wonderful and responsive to our inquiries. Lots of room, great AC, fully stocked kitchen.
4.7
Cabin EXCEEDED our expectations on ALL levels:
Proximity to restaurants/shops/water venues; quiet residential area above the lake; smart arrangements of space for living room open to modern fully stocked kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms; wraparound outdoor deck with lake view thru the trees, ample parking; close to Yosemite South Gate, beautiful furnishings and a highly attentive hostess.

The property was very idyllic being very close to the lake and felt immediately we were on vacation. The home was great for our large group of people (6 of us) and our dog was comfortable there as well. Would book again! The place was 1-2 hours from the Yosemite Valley factoring traffic at the entry gate on the weekend. The host was also very helpful, communicative and clear. The parking at the property was suitable for 3-4 cars.

This was a really fun lake getaway for me, my son and his friend. It was a great location, just a short walk down the hill to the water where we watched the sunset over the lake. The place is stocked with pretty much anything you need, but there's also a local grocery store and coffee shop just a few minutes drive away. Shawnda and Marc were very responsive when we had a wifi issue. You can tell they really care about their guests experience. In fact, a lot of people we met at the lake were very friendly. I would definitely come back.

The pictures definitely do not do this place justice. So wonderfully decorated for the holidays with tons of lights and bears and cute decorations and details everywhere. The home had all the necessities and was very clean and spacious. From the deck we had a nice view of the lake (though it is very low at the moment) and the neighborhood around the home was adorable and super walk-able. We loved the fireplace and cozy living room. The host was so responsive when we had questions about the cable or checkout requirements. We spent a day in Yosemite which is only 35 minutes away and a day at a snow park near Shaver Lake which was a twisty 1.5 hour drive away. The weather was so unexpectedly warm that we had to drive pretty far to find snow this year but all totally worth it. We will definitely be back to visit this cabin again.

We had a wonderful time at the Lopez cabin. If I had my own cabin I would want people to feel at home and that is exactly how we felt, like we were home away from home. We have been in many VRBO properties and this property was homey, not like a rental property with limited supplies. Shawnda thought of everything to meet every need we had, this place was stocked!!
The bear cabin theme throughout the home was cute. Evenings on the deck with a glass of wine watching the sun set was pretty nice as well!
Bass lake is close to the cabin, you can see the lake from the deck, but not right on the lake. Which was fine with us. It was close to The Pines recreation area, restaurants and shops. Miller’s Landing is just a short 15 minute drive, where we like to rent our boats. The people at Milller’s are all so friendly and accommodating. Oakhurst is about 20 minutes from the cabin where you can get groceries at Vons and Big Five for any sporting equipment you might have forgotten.
We can’t wait to go back next year!!

I had an overall neutral rating on the stay. Cabin decorations are nice but size is very small and air conditioners are very noisy plus WiFi is slow. In the end, feel I paid 5 star price for 2 star hotel. Don’t think I will book again.

I had hoped that this rental would have a closer view of the lake but it more than made up for it by being clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The owner was easy to get a hold of and was very responsive. The kitchen is well stocked but you may need to bring plastic wrap, foil, and other food storage in case you have leftovers. Also, be careful to not leave food out — during hot weather, ants can be bothersome. The deck is lovely and wraps around the property but for us, it was too hot to enjoy it. We wished there was more shade. The grill is really clean for barbecuing. In the larger bedroom, the AC unit doesn’t seem to work as well as the others so I supplemented with a fan from another room and that was perfect. Also, be sure to leave on the porch light just outside the door to deter wildlife rummaging in garbage containers outside.
It’s about 4-5 minutes to rent water sports gear and boats, the Pines Market is also a half mile away and offers more a durable selection of both groceries, ready to eat meals, household items, and touristy gifts. Oakhurst is the nearest town and has larger box stores and dining options just 14 minutes away.
Unfortunately, during our stay, there was a huge fire in Fresno causing the AQI to be in the unhealthy levels so we only managed to be outdoors one day out of the three but we highly recommend the Cloud 9 Massage which is seriously relaxing and healing if you can’t be out in nature. We also had a great experience at the Bass Lake Boating and Rentals which is just next to Ducey’s. Do plan ahead and reserve boats etc in advance of your visit.
You’ll have a great experience at Shawnda and Marc’s Lake House at Bass Lake!

It was very cutely decorated, very small place but it worked for our family. Really the only issue was there was very large dog pee stains on the carpet, both in the master bedroom and in the kids room. The smell was terrible!

Family get away
The weather was hot when we arrived to the cabin, but when we arrived to the cabin it was nice and cool. Easy to locate and clean. The lake is low, so we didn’t hang out by the lake, but there is lake access. The owner is great and stays in touch with updates and to check in. Cabin is in a great location and we hope to rent next year.

Great location!!
Great little cabin with a wood burning fireplace! Very cozy ! Great location walkable to the lake, hiking trails and the market.

8 of my family stayed here ranging from 8 to 81. The decor, size, and well supplied cabin was perfect for us. There are toddler supplies too should you need. My tmobile phone had poor reception throughout bass lake not just in cabin. You will not regret cabin rental.

Cozy cabin in a great location
This was the first time renting this cabin. 2 adults, 1 infant, and 2 dogs enjoyed the stay. What we loved was the location, neighborhood, the kitchen was fully stocked (plus more), and the cabin was decorated very cute! What we wish could have changed was the loud air conditioning. We were very grateful to have air but it was loud especially in the living room which made it hard to hear in other rooms. If we had more people staying, the living room would have been a a little tight and not as enjoyable ...but it was perfect for our stay!

The cabin is cute and nicely decorated. It is in a great location. It was nice that our children had their own rooms. Property owner was wonderful and available if we needed her.

Everything was GREAT!
This was my 2nd time staying in this cute, clean and cozy cabin! I would only say that if you are 10 adults, it's probably not going to work for you! But it's perfect for 4-6 adults and the rest kids.
That being said, if weather is good, you can always throw a couple of blow-up mattresses on the deck and there is a perfect spot for a small tent in the back of the house.
4.7
Cute cozy cabin
The cabin was cute, and located a short distance to lake and tourist areas, which made everything pretty convenient. However, if you are looking for something on lake this is not the place for you. Our only complaint was the floors have seen better days (a bit on the dirty side). They could use a serious deep cleaning on the wood and carpets areas throughout, but other than that everything was great and we had a wonderful time with family. The overall feel was a woodsy, cabin home nestled in the trees next to other homes. The view from the patio was very nice; we suggest having dinner/BBQ outside on the patio in the evening before the sun goes down - they have table, chairs and lights well set up for that and we were able to enjoy the forest/semi-lake view from there.
4.7
Cozy cottage near the lake
Very cozy cottage as described and with everything you need. Close to Bass Lake, 2 parking spots. Road to property is very narrow so if you have a big truck best to access house from the back (just an an fyi). Great communication with owner.

Cute & cozy!
We loved our stay at Shawnda's cabin! It was so beautifully decorated for the holidays, with string lights, Christmas trees, and all kinds of cute things in every room. It's a really quick drive or walk to the nearby market, restaurant, and lake-view resort. We made day trips to Yosemite and some other surrounding towns & nature spots. The home is well-equipped, there are lots of extra amenities if you have kids or larger groups, and it has multiple entryways if you have more guests. Would highly recommend!
4.7
Cute, Clean & Cozy Little Cabin!
The cabin was immaculate and decorated so cute! There were plenty of dishes, and staples in the cabinets. Everything worked! We parked 6 cars on the property without a problem. While we squeezed 9 people into this cabin, I think 6-7 would fit more comfortably. If you have 10 adults, bring some air mattresses and sleeping bags. There are beds for 10, but I would suggest only if a few are children. Shawnda went over and above in helping, when I had questions, before and during our stay! I feel like I have a new friend! We will definitely stay there again! Thanks, Shawnda!!

Nice clean cabin
Came here for a family weekend getaway. The cabin was nice and clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. The parking is a bit of an issue as neighboring cabins are very close together, but we made it work. The owner was very informative and pleasant.

Cabin in Bass Lake, CA
Shawnda made us feel very welcome in this cozy cabin. It's a very clean and comfortable cabin with a lovely deck for stargazing. Everything you might need is provided except for food, of course. However, it did take a while longer to commute to Yosemite Valley than we had anticipated. The nearby scenery is lovely.

Love this Home!!
The Lopez's are perfect hosts. Everything needed was available. Their Home/cabin is very roomy and comfortable. It is located off the main road so it's private. Hiking trails are just around the corner (approx .5 miles.) We drove to Yosemite forest and within 45 minutes We were parked and hiking the Chilnualna Falls Trail. The Redwoods took another Day as one has to drive further into the park. Grilling on the deck after a day of "playing" was the cats meow. Plenty of Hot water to soothe ones aching bones after hiking trails and without question a home filled with Love..
Thanks Lopez's

Good, but not great.
Cute cabin in a beautiful location. Some small things were annoying. Not much hot water, the oven took ridiculously long to come up to temperature (over an hour), and there's a metal rod sticking out of the ground in the back that has no flag or indicator on it and is asking for a serious injury (one person cut their leg, but luckily not seriously).

The Nicest Owners!
Simply said, this is the nicest family we have ever rented from in VRBO. Love Bass Lake and very grateful for Shawnda!

Darling cabin just right for our stay.
Will definitely stay here again.

Great rental! Awesome owner!
This is a really nice cabin close to Yosemite. The owner was very helpful giving us suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend!
4.7
Very family-friendly and cozy place, very close to the Bass Lake.
the cabin was very well maintained and equipped. We cooked two meals at the cabin everyday and ate our meals at the front balcony, it was such an enjoyable experience staying at this cabin. It was about 40mins away from the south entrance of Yosemite Park. But there was big wildfire in Yosemite, so the south entrance was closed the entire time we were here. We had to drive around and entered from the west entrance which was about 5hrs drive two way. It was a bit too much. So we didn't go to Yosemite the last day, but we were able to enjoy the Lake instead. The water was quite transparent and warm. We rented a boat around sunset time. It was such a tranquil and lovely time spending on the lake.
