About this house rental
Rose Cottage charms her guests. This Victorian home was built in the 1890's and lies within the original surveyed five block square area of Historic Downtown Franklin.
When you arrive at Rose Cottage, you will be stepping back into the history of Franklin to enjoy a little piece of "times past" with its architecture and furnishings.
Even though the cottage has been completely modernized, it still is reminiscent of another time with careful attention given to the balance between old and new.
Rose Cottage is about a two minute walk to The Square and to Franklin's main attractions, venues and restaurants. There is no struggle to find a place to park
with its location being closer than much of the available parking. It is quite
convenient in the evening to be able to walk home from an evening spent downtown!
The cottage also features a private backyard where one is able to retreat from the
bustle of downtown. The spacious covered patio area is perfect for sipping your morning coffee. The glider and rocking chairs predate WWII. Enjoy perfect outdoor dining at the picnic table. If you are interested in outside sports, a ping pong table,
basketball goal, and croquet are available. There is also a portable fire pit, however you must supply your own wood.
Rose Cottage welcomes guests to enjoy our small town hospitality and the many special events Franklin hosts which make it such a delightful place to visit.

Spacious historic home in a prime location, 1.5 blocks from the Franklin Square and near everything in Franklin. Owner was easy to work with and very accommodating. Franklin is one of the friendliest places we've ever visited. Every single person we interacted with in stores and restaurants during our 5 day visit was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to see us. A great experience!

The house is historic, but so are the carpets and furnishings. Could use some updating and new design elements.

We really enjoyed our stay at beautiful Rose Cottage. Very roomy historical home with the convenience of central air/heat. It's proximity to downtown made it so easy to take the short walk back and forth to shop or eat in one of the many great restaurants. Very cool to just walk the neighborhood and check out all the homes and do the Franklin Ghost tour. We would definitely return.

Our girls trip had a wonderful time staying in Franklin! Short drive to the Nashville Flea Market and walking distance to the wonderful shops of Franklin. We walked to eat at Puckett’s and enjoyed their wonderful live music and 55 South. Both very delicious with a fun and casual atmosphere! Susan was a wonderful host with helpful tips on shopping and eating. The cottage was very cozy and well kept. Very clean! We can’t wait to stay again for another “junkin’ journey”!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. I had surgery in Nashville and had to stay for a week before returning home. We were able to check in early and we were very comfortable. Great walking distance to main streets in Franklin. Beds were very comfortable. There was more road noise in the front bedroom but nothing that a fan couldn’t drown out. Highly recommend a stay.

This quaint cottage was our lodging spot for a week's stay-cation while our Franklin home's hardwood floors were being redone. Good location provides an easy walk to anywhere in downtown Franklin. Host Susan was great. The cottage was spacious and super clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable, which is a BIG plus compared to beds in other rentals I've visited. The back yard, while not completely fenced, had enough perimeter barriers to keep my 2 golden retrievers around. They loved playing fetch.

The house is bigger than it looks and is like a step back in time. Many antiques but also everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The house was very clean and the bed was comfortable. As everyone mentions, the location is fantastic ( 450 feet to the nearest bakery/ coffee shop)! My only comment would be the street noise/traffic is a little loud. Part of this could have been due to some road construction going on nearby. I would highly recommend this property and plan to return.

My daughter and her husband joined me in Franklin for a songwriters event at the Harpeth Hotel. This cottage was perfect for us, within walking distance of both the Harpeth and the shops and restaurants on Main Street. The beds were very comfortable and Susan was the perfect host. She communicated prior to our stay and met me at the house for an overview. It was a great trip and we will definitely be back!

Great stepping into the past living
We had such a great time at Rose Cottage. It was like stepping back in time. Sitting on the front porch with a morning beverage or afternoon drink was nice… traffic out front is busy at times but still nice and relaxing. Back yard area is much quieter and you can enjoy the old 1940ish glider to seat and enjoy the beautiful birds.

Perfect Location & Very Comfortable
Lovely, quiet, historic home that was an easy 3 minute stroll to Main Street. Plenty of room and very comfortable king beds in each of the 2 bedrooms. (VRBO needs to correct the bedroom info in the listing as it doesn’t list the 1st bedroom with a king bed.) Convenient parking in the driveway. Would stay again. Susan was lovely host when needed.
