This was a perfect spot for myself and my teen to return to after exploring all the sites that DC boasts. We stayed for 4 nights. There is an amazon fresh (for groceries) and friendship heights metro station within easy walking distance. I used amtrak to travel from NC to DC and was able to access all necessities visit famous landmarks without a personal vehicle. The apartment is well stocked and has lots of attention to small stuff: small size toiletries, coffee pods/creamers and a snack basket. David was responsive. Honestly, i only needed to contact him via text at checkout just as a courtesy to make him and his spouse aware that I was checking out and express thanks for the excellent accommodations. Id recommend this space to anyone exploring DC in a party of 2 or 3.

The apartment was exactly what we were looking for, was in great condition and well-appointed, and was in an ideal location. The host was very easy to communicate with.

Such a fantastic apartment. Intentionally decorated, modern, well appointed and clean. We have stayed in several Washington DC apartments and this one stands above the rest, and by far. Gladys and David were so helpful, friendly and welcoming and quickly oriented us to the area and the apartment. Included is a new full size refrigerator with a nice sized freezer with automatic ice maker, an electric stove, microwave, toaster, everything you would need to prepare a meal, a Keurig coffee maker, great dishes, coffee and tea cups. The washer and dryer are new and large capacity, contained within a large, separate laundry room off the kitchen. The apartment had amenities that were helpful, thoughtful and a pleasant surprise. Included were a basket of treats (loved them!), a computer with a printer, extra blankets and towels, travel sized shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and even toothbrushes, if you forget to bring your own. The neighborhood was quiet, fantastic to walk around and surrounded by all kinds of destinations within short to long walking distances. Standouts were Hillwood Estate, Rock Creek Park, The National Cathedral, Rodman's (all things grocery and living related), Magruder's (grocery), and Zen Acupressure (to mitigate all the walking). The pictures and this review will not do this apartment justice but this was the best value and the best overall experience we have had in Washington DC and we will return.

We had a great experience staying in Gladys and David's beautiful apartment! Gladys and David thought of everything a family would need, down to the last detail. It was a great location, just a short walk to the Metro station, easily accessible to everything we wanted to do in DC. Family-friendly apartment in a family-friendly neighborhood. Gladys was very attentive and responsive to all of our questions during our stay. Leaving a basket of snacks was a nice welcoming touch that our kids were very excited about. All in all, we had a great time and we will be repeat guests for our future trips to DC.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was great, convenient to AU (we were in town for a graduation). The apartment was spotless and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The convertible couches not so much but they would work in a pinch for larger parties. All in all a great spot and we’d definitely come back!

Our family of five stayed here for three nights. The apartment is very modern and clean. The neighborhood is great and walkable to shops and restaurants. The metro stop is close, too, but we chose to take Uber’s into DC. We highly recommend this apartment!

Thank you to Gladys and David for a lovely stay! Due to the nature of our visit we needed to be a little outside DC proper and some extra space to accommodate our son who was joining us for a few days. Could not have made a better choice! The apartment is bright and clean and perfectly appointed-they have thought of everything! David came down to welcome us and point out some highlights of the apartment upon our arrival and made sure we had his contact information should we need anything. Great location and close to everything DC has to offer and the immediate area around the apartment is wonderful. We had a delicious meal at Blue 44-it's right around the corner and fabulous food! We enjoyed the apartment so much we ended up staying an extra day!

This is a lovely neighborhood in which to stay. Many restaurants within walking distance along tree covered streets. The apartment is new,comfortable, nice amenities, friendly hosts.

Very convenient washer and dryer and kitchens. Truly one of the best equipped and designed apartments we've used.

Gladys and David were wonderful hosts and tried to think of every detail that would help guests have a seamless vacation. The apartment worked great for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). Snacks, drinks, soaps (dish, clothes, bathroom) was well stocked. Kitchen had everything you could think of. Location was easy walk to the metro and in a safe and convenient neighborhood. David and Gladys welcomed us with perfect, updated, modern apartment accommodations. Our family of 5 enjoyed the welcome snacks, well stocked kitchen, and WiFi . We found everything we could need during our 5 days, including bathroom amenities and laundry supplies. The neighborhood location with access to the metro/ bus lines made it very easy to take in the DC sights, so we left our car in the provided parking spot. We found lots of options for shopping, groceries, restaurants, and more within walking distance. We loved our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gladys and David's downstairs apartment! They stocked it with everything you would need and want in your home away from home, to make guests totally comfortable. They were always helpful and friendly. We could walk to most places we wanted to go to, but if not it was just a few blocks to the metro. Definitely recommend staying there!
