About this house rental

Our 3-bedroom twin home, built in 1900 features many original architectural details from the period. Enjoy our oak floors, front porch w/swinging bench & back deck w/grill overlooking the rear garden. Each of our 3 bedrooms has a comfortable queen size bed: rear bedroom, larger front bedroom and the renovated 3rd flr space (quietest room). The single futon in front room can be easily positioned anywhere on 2nd floor. Window units provide a/c (modern, quiet, remote-controlled) - remote-controlled ceiling fan in kitchen and front bedroom. Kitchen is fully equipped - chefs will be hard-pressed to find anything missing! Full-size refrigerator w/bottom freezer. Flat-screen Smart TV w/Apple TV (Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc) in living-room and complimentary WI-FI throughout the house. Wireless printer available for guest use on 2nd flr. New user-friendly thermostat for heating control (located in D/R). French doors off kitchen open onto rear deck with outdoor seating, table and shade umbrella - lovely space for breakfast in summer. Electric outdoor grill for BBQ.. Guest Access: Front door is keyless entry. You will have the privacy of this home all to yourself. Interaction with Guests: We are available by mobile phone any time during your stay. We'd love to share what we know about the neighborhood: good food, coffee shops, shopping, parks, gardens, etc. The Neighborhood: Bryn Mawr is located on The Main Line, an older suburb of Philadelphia. Our house is on a quiet street within walking distance to the center of Bryn Mawr, with numerous shops, restaurants and all the usual amenities of a neighborhood. Center city Philadelphia is approx 12 miles away, by car or SEPTA train. Close to several colleges and universities: Villanova, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Rosemont, Swarthmore, Immaculata, Gwynedd-Mercy, Arcadia, Penn, Drexel, Phila Univ.
Our house could probably accommodate more but 5 adults will comfortably enjoy the space and furnishings.
A great alternative to having to rent 2 hotel rooms!

Perfect spot for us and really enjoyed our time in Bryn Mawr! We will be back.

This lovely home has all the comforts and amenities, located on a residential street within walking distance to the shopping/restaurants area of town.
It's a great location if you plan to do sightseeing in Philadelphia or a day at the Jersey shore. Whatever reason for your visit, you'll return to this home and unwind on the beautifully planted patio or the inviting living room area.
The beds were all comfy. The house was immaculate.
We had a great stay and definitely will return.
It feels like your home away from home!

I helped organize a gathering spot for my mother and her friends (and spouses) for their 50th reunion at Bryn Mawr College. With the Mainline full of colleges (and consequently collegiate events) Rod's listing would be perfect for a group of 4-6 people who appreciate classic decor and a secluded verdant house. The property is within easy walking distance from Harcum and BMC and a rigorous jaunt to Haverford or Villanova. Check in was easy and felt safe, there is a garage as well as street parking (though prioritizes residents and should not be kept in front of the house all day).
Thank you Rod for sharing your home with us and I'll be back for later reunions with my gaggle of college friends.

This was the perfect property for us. It's a very cute attached 3 bedroom house in a nice little neighborhood near Villanova. We were in town for my son's graduation and the property had everything we needed. It's close to the main road for shops and restaurants. The unit is quiet and cozy, with a kitchen that has everything. The back deck and gardens are pretty - unfortunately we couldn't sit out there because of the unfriendly weather. My husband enjoyed the CDs. The unit is attached but quiet, the neighbor was singing a little but it was during hours that didn't disturb us. We were very happy with our stay. Thank you Rod!

All the five star reviews are well-deserved. The house is very comfortable, clean, attractively furnished. You will find everything you might need. Would definitely stay here again

We've stayed before and will stay again. Comfortable, organized, convenient to Haverford where we were visiting our offspring. One can take Zoom calls from upstairs desk while others hung out downstairs. Kitchen well-equipped to facilitate cooking. Good book shelves. Great to be able to park in the garage. A nice old house and attentive host.

Rod was a generous host and easy to communicate with. We appreciate the flexibility he showed us. House is great and clean - ideal location for exploring Bryn Mawr and beyond. Having access to the garage especially valuable!

We had the best time and loved the house. Also so easy to walk to shops and cafes in town. We could not have been more comfortable! Will definitely come back to this house and would highly recommend it.

Our family loved staying in this wonderful Bryn Mawr home just before the holidays. I can't say enough about its cozy upstairs. Everything was carefully labeled and clear. We were never confused about how to find or use anything. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Extra bedding, pillows, towels, and beyond...check, check, and check. We felt so comfortable and at home. Thank you!

We rented this house as we were expecting a friend from Germany who was staying 10 days with us; since we live in an apartment we wanted our friend to have a nice relaxing vacation in a spacious environment.
We were not disappointed! This house, we called "home" during our stay, was as billed: charming and relaxing-wonderful!
The amenities rivaled what I've experienced in 4 and 5 star hotels around the world!
Absolutely beautiful, well appointed and functional kitchen; the owners even had food (in the freezer and up to date) in case we didnt have a chance to shop!
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms nicely done.
I work from home and was quite comfortable working here as I needed during our 10 day stay.
I would rent this again in the future, thanks to the hosts for providing such a warm functional away home!

An all around fabulous house that exceeded our expectations. As a previous reviewer said, it's like staying at a very organized friend's house. The backyard is lovely, and the location was perfect for us, just one block from the shops and reastaurants, yet completely quiet. We would love to stay again in this beautiful house.

We had a great experience staying here. Communication with Rod was excellent. The house is exactly as it’s shown. We were able to fit our minivan in the garage but it was snug fit. The house was stocked extremely well. We enjoyed our stay.

We 3 adults / 2 generations enjoyed our stay. Feels like staying at an organized/neat friend’s place. Clean and comfy. Well stocked kitchen for cooking breakfast. Easy to work with Rod. Nice to have the garage for parking and the lovely area out back. Convenient short walk to the Septa for taking rail to Philly. My 77 year old mom took a Lyft to Haverford to visit our student and felt comfortable enough to walk the 1.6 miles back. 6 minute drive to Stoneleigh Gardens - highly recommend.
Note one shared bathroom/shower for the 3 bedrooms up fairly steep stairs. Next door neighbors with a shared wall are musicians who sometimes practice in the evenings and weekend mornings (this was the reason for 4 stars vs 5. Out of the owner's control obviously but did impact our stay).
We would stay again.

We stayed here in 2019 and were very happy with the home which is why we chose it again. The home is impeccably clean! Rod has great communication and answers questions quickly. The location is perfect! Many restaurants and shops are all walkable. Try Snap Pizza, El Limon, Surreal ice cream and boba, and Hope's cookies to name just a few. The house has a homey feel that makes coming back from a long day of exploring the Philly area or visiting your college student so relaxing. We highly recommend this VRBO. We plan to return in the future.

We were in for a quick weekend in Philadelphia. The house was great, very tidy and clean. Well decorated and comfortable. Instructions for entry were clear. We had an unforeseen difficulty with the garage door opener but Rod was very responsive and did everything in his power to fix the issue.
We would definitely stay again if given the opportunity.

A Most Wonderful Family Stay in Bryn Mawr
Rod's beautiful home was the perfect place for our family in a lovely neighborhood with restaurants and boutique shops only a couple of blocks away. The home is well taken care of, every room wonderfully clean and comfortable, a kitchen that is well stocked for cooking and we even BBQed and had family time on the deck in his lovely garden. Having morning coffee on the sitting swing on the front porch was a delight. Everything you could possibly need was easy to find in the house because it is so well organized. Rod has done an exceptional job at keeping the charming characteristics of a vintage home modernized with today's needs. Well done and well appreciated. What more can we say, we loved our stay here and the beautiful community. Thank you Rod!

The house is lovely and very well equipped. The house really felt like home. We were in town for college graduation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rod was very responsive when we had a question. I’m just sorry I didn’t find this house sooner. We would have stayed for all of our visits during our daughter’s time at Bryn Mawr College.

Wonderful home in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania
We rented this property for a Christmas visit with our family up north. It was in a perfect location- easy access to all major roads leading to Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. The home is located one block off of route 30 which has amazing shops and markets- all within walking distance. The home was very clean and prepared so nice for visitors. I was most impressed with the kitchen- not only the layout, but the amount of accessories, dishes, and appliances. Our communication with the owner from start to finish was 5 star.

A lovely respite in Bryn Mawr
This home is lovely and thoughtfully appointed. And nearby within a few steps, there is La Colombe coffee, a great grocery, restaurants and shops. I also appreciated the ease of communication from inquiry to departure was with the host! My only suggestion to the host is maybe adding an inexpensive Bluetooth speaker. Sorry if I missed it. Found myself waking up listening to NPR on my phone. Not really an issue.

A Great Week in Bryn Mawr
I needed to be in the Philly area for a week because my 17 year old son and his teammate had lacrosse tournaments on both weekends and could do covid friendly on line school on the weekdays in between. This three bedroom house was the perfect solution. Clean, well stocked, strong WiFi signal and great area. Very great fun to the owner Rod for such a great experience.

Comfortable home in great location
We stayed for a week while delivering our oldest kid to one of the local colleges. The house was clean, very well stocked, and perfect for our needs. The neighborhood is quiet, but just a block or so away is Lancaster Ave, which has a CVS, organic grocer, and a wide variety of restaurants (now offering take out) all within easy walking distance. The laundry machines in the basement were easy to use, with plenty of soap, etc. Rod gave us all the information we needed for an easy check-in and answered questions quickly. In short, we're very happy we chose this house!

Welcoming and Warm Home
This home is a very well appointed, welcoming, and cared for home in a beautiful suburb about 35 minutes from Philadelphia. Rod is an excellent host who has thoughtfully prepared his home to welcome guests. The home has all of the amenities one could need and more and is in a great location that is in walking distance to shops and restaurants and driving distance to local attractions such as the King of Prussia mall. We highly recommend this home and hope to stay in the home again when we return to the area.
