The spacious, rustic apartment was perfect for our family of four and instantly felt like home. There are breathtaking views of the village from the windows and a commodious terrace. The rambling duplex apartment is situated in the heart of the picturesque medieval village and you enter it through an upscale art gallery that you must lock up after hours. The old locks were a little tricky but I'd definitely stay again. Exceeded expectations.

We stayed for four nights. Pros: Fabulous location. Fabulous view looking west over the mountains (with sunsets) and south to the sea. Great old house with lots of space. The owner rents the cellar and ground floor to an art gallery and the first and second floors as a residence. One has to enter and exit the residence through the gallery door on the ground level, which was fine with us. Cons: the place was cleaned before we came, but really needs a deep and thorough cleaning. It also needs to be decluttered, appliances and kitchen equipment need updating, and old food needs to be removed from the pantry. Overall - it is a cool place. Staying depends on your tolerance for cleanliness and clutter.

A wonderful French experience
The house is beautiful, rustic and a wonderful experience for our family. There were 5 of us, two are teens. We spent most of our days on excursions to the beaches; San Remo, Cocobeach, Palmoa beach. Then spent the evenings in Saint Paul.
After getting our rental car, (we recommend an automatic with navigation that isn't too wide, you'll learn why), we set out to Saint Paul de Vence. Once on the highways you'll either need change or your credit card at the ready to get threw the toll stops. Make sure you go into the line that shows change or credit as there is a prepaid card line that will not let you threw.
When you arrive to Saint Paul it's a bit confusing. Try to park outside the city in the parking lot then park and walk up threw the main entrance which puts you on Rue Grande the street the home is on. Walk towards the Grand Fontaine. The owners will give you the address. The place is above a gallery and you will need to walk through the gallery entrance to acces the stairs to the 2nd and third stories where the apartment is. This means at night you must make sure the door is closed so no one gets in to take the art work. It's a bit nerve racking but totally doable.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor and the living area with wifi are On the third floor. Wifi didn't work well on the second floor. The view from the balcony was amazing! We are outside a lot.
After checking in I'd then get your luggage and bring it up. Then grab food from L'Electra (I think that's the name of it), a large grocery store at the bottom of the roads below Saint Paul. There is also a wonderful bakery near it called Bono for bread and croissants. We had breakfasts and some dinners in Saint Paul, and lunches out on our excursions. For Wine there is a wine shop just down the road from the house entrance with in Saint Paul that has delicious wines at great prices.
We weren't sure what to do with the garbage, but at night you take your bag and lean it up against the garbage cans with in the city. The garbage collectors grab them.
One more thing Paloma Beach was fun but you have to pay 23€ for an adult and 16€ for children. This gives you a cozy beach chair and umbrella. They have waiter service for very expensive food. They is a beach just outside the main establishment that you can bring towels and an umbrellas you get from he grocery store. Much, much cheaper. Also, you can bring you own food/wine here but not to Paloma Beach. Book a boat befor

belles prestations
