WINTER 2021 REMODEL! 2022 NEW BEDS! We are excited to share our new, modern space with you - updated throughout. Both bathrooms are completely remodeled with new walk in shower, tile, and walnut vanities. New counter tops, carpet, appliances and gas fireplace. The house and yard are looking spectacular. We take great pride in our house and continue to add more for your enjoyment.
Come escape to this comfortable, one level, family friendly beach house getaway. The house is conveniently located 2 blocks from the beach trail head, Pacific Way bakery/market and Cafe, coffee, ice cream, wine, gift shops, and more. It is just as easy to golf, bike, play tennis or basketball, fish, clam dig, crab or take a leisure stroll in the cute, little sleepy town of Gearhart.
The Gearhart retreat provides a comfortable great room set up with updated modern decor and furnishings. A fully stocked kitchen opens into dining area, living room, and family room. The large family room has a 50" flat screen TV with a Roku stick (YouTube TV provided), plenty of sitting space, and a wonderful area to relax together. The cozy, light filled living room has a new gas fireplace, additional TV with DVD player, and in house library which makes for a wonderful, restful area. The three bedrooms are arranged with king, full, and two twin beds. Enjoy the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and true walk in shower.
The extra large, professionally landscaped back yard is very versatile. The unfenced, grassy yard is great for yard games. Relax in the comfort of adirondack chairs, grill up a meal (picnic table provided), or sit around the fire pit. The two car garage is useful for storing bikes and other gear. There is plenty of room to park three cars in the driveway.
Pets are considered on a case to case basis. Please let the owner know prior to staying for approval. If approved, pets may not be left unattended in the house (crate / kennels are okay). There is an additional pet fee.
Maximum nightly occupancy is six guests and up to three children two and under (older children are included in max occupancy of six).
No tents allowed in back yard. All cars must be parked in driveway or garage. No events nor parties allowed. Noise must be kept to a minimum respecting neighbors. No smoking.

The house is adorable! Well cared for, very clean. Some new renovations throughout. We loved our stay and were very happy with the house and the location. Gearhart is an adorable, quaint town with a charming little bakery and even a McMenamins! The house is walking distance to the beach. We drove to Cannon Beach for the day on one of the days and went to see the Peter Iredale shipwreck another day. It was a great trip!

Everything about this place is perfect. The home itself is great, newly updated and beautifully decorated. Beds are comfortable and the bedding is great, too. Gearhart is a sleepy little town but close to all the things we wanted to do and see. You can go a mile down the road have access to all kinds of restaurants and shopping but we preferred the non-touristy vibe of Gearhart. The walk to the beach is gorgeous. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I even looked up a couple properties that were for-sale, that's how much I love the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a 10-15 minute walk from the beach, through dune grass. Very pretty walk. Close to shops, as well. Good Times 🙃 is a nice new addition to the neighborhood. Owners communicated well and house had everything we needed. Thanks!

The property was very inviting, well maintained, clean and very well equipped. The owners were most responsive to communications. The yard is lovely and large enough to accommodate guests' pets. The one drawback is if you bring pets, be aware the yard is not fenced. The neighborhood is quiet and quite pleasant. I would not hesitate to book this property again in the future.

Nice, clean and recently renovated cute cottage in Gearhart, near some cute shops, a cafe and the Gearhart Golf Club and restaurant. Comfortable master king bed and large modern walk in shower was nice. We had a girls weekend for three 60+ aged gals and it was very comfortable for the three of us, plus a small dog. Appreciated the rambler one floor living. Saw a heard of elk at night walking around the neighborhood! About 20-25 minute drive to Cannon Beach where we hung out most of the time. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks!

My family stayed at this house for two nights. It was a really welcoming house. It was very clean, very nicely decorated and had good appliances and comfortable beds. We have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and we found the house very clean and welcoming. The yard is very nice and warm too. We absolutely loved the house. The owner (Tara) sent a welcome email in the morning and was very prompt in responding to my questions. The house is close to the ocean and basic stores and cafe. We look forward to renting this place again when we visit Astoria / Gearhart in the future. Thanks, Tara!

Quiet Neighborhood
We loved the quiet peaceful town of Gearhart. We highly debated either staying in Seaside or Gearhart, but settled on Gearhart because of the small town feel. We are extremely happy with our decision. The beach, a coffee shop and a cafe are all within walking distance. Seaside is a short drive and Cannon beach is about 20 min.
The house itself was super cute. It looks like they just completed some remodeling so a few things are nice and new without taking away from the character of an older home.
I’m usually someone who can’t survive without AC, and most houses don’t provide enough breeze for me. This house got cool enough that we actually had to close the windows at night. Perfect!
The kids enjoyed the bunny that stopped by in the backyard daily. We would recommend this house if you want to be away from the noise.

Updated and Charming Perfection
I only have positive remarks for this property. From check-in to check-out, communication was top notch. The house was updated throughout with a clean and purposeful aesthetic; I truly wish my own home as nice as this one. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pots, pans, and knives, and was a joy in which to cook. We appreciated all the books (lots of wonderful history/biographies) as well as the big, low coffee tables which were perfect for doing puzzles. Location was perfect, just a short walk to the great bakery and also the beaches. It really was a joy to stay in this home.

Christmas at the beach!
The perfect property for our family (adults) and pets. Great space for movies when it rains (and rains), and even in snow. Home was clean and comfortable. We love the kitchen gas stove and the amount of cooking pans/utensils. Plenty of cards played at the table. An easy walk to the beach and neighborhood is very friendly. We enjoyed the coffee shop, By The Way. Hope to return when the weather is warmer!

Gearhart was a total surprise! We fell in love with this quaint little town. Only downside was the fact that some of the stores did not survive the pandemic and had closed down and are being sold. The rental was perfect for us and the beach was magical.

Tara was a great host, her house is very well appointed with everything you need. The beach is a short walk and we loved being close to Seaside and Cannon Beach for shopping and dinners. The Pacific Way Bakery was such a treat, only blocks from the house and well worth the wait for the pastries. We love Gearhart, such a beautiful, clean beach and not overcrowded like Seaside. First July 4th on Oregon Coast
The house was in a very convenient location a few blocks to public beach access. It had ample room on driveway for our 3 vehicles. Communication with owners was timely regarding garbage/recycle pick-up. Nicely updated bathrooms and kitchen (yet missing one cabinet door and drawer front). The only quirky thing was the low to reach location of the microwave. We enjoyed our family stay!

We really enjoyed our first time in Gearhart as our son participated in a community beach cleanup project for school. Location is perfect for easy beach access and a short walk to some of the town shops. Nice place, Quiet Neighborhood
Over all this place has a really nice layout, is cute, and is in a great neighborhood fairly close to the beach. There are a few things that could easily make it more comfortable. The dishwasher worked, but was very loud. It would help the ambiance to have a quieter one. The double bed sags in the middle. My daughter dubbed it the “taco bed”. The Queen bed is very comfortable. The toilet in the main bathroom runs unless the toilet handle is manually pulled up. The lock on the slider of the master bath doesn’t latch. Having garbage bags for the kitchen should be essential, and ziplocks for leftovers would be a nice touch. Otherwise the kitchen is very well stocked with anything one could need.
We enjoyed the fireplace and the books very much, and had a fantastic time. Thanks so much!
