About this house rental

Modern 4 bd home sleeps 9, the house comprises of 3 bedrooms with a queen , 1 bedroom with a single over double bunk (also included is the 3 bedroom lodge!, lodge sleeps 8 plus.
The lodge comprises of 1 bedroom with a queen , 2 bedrooms with a single over double bunk , also sofa beds .

Perfect for team building /conferences, also GST registered ..Great harbour views, including the 'heads', especially from rooftop deck. Deck has new gazebo to lay in and star gaze, with Indonesian statues around house, lower covered deck off the bedrooms, including hammocks, cafe setting and large gas bbq...spa pool (DURING WINTER MONTHS ONLY)
Ample parking for up to 3-4 cars. room for a boat and trailer beside the house too .
Many world famous surf spots/kite surfing within a 5 min drive, including surf/swimming beach, with its own life guards, fun for all the family!
10-15 mins stroll to newly developed harbour, inc. cafes, pottery shops etc also only 300m to water if kayaking is your thing.
Warm relaxing vibe to the north facing house, with sun from dawn to dusk.
If relaxing at home is your thing there is always Sky tv with movies and sports channels or surf the net with free WiFi! Not to mention the hammocks under the pergola.
10-15 min walk to central Raglan.
Option to rent surfboards, boogie boards, mtb's, kayak and linen ($15 per person) if you forget it :)

The new Surfer's Lodge on the ground floor , sleeps up to 8 + people, and can be easily accessed from the house on the first floor . That also has its own Sky decoder, free WiFi and all other amenities.....this gives all your guests options, to watch a different TV channel , or quieter spot or so ?..
The Lodge is sound proofed and quite separate from the primary house, but with a few adjustments it can be easily accessed. Just ask, as I'm sure this would suit sports teams or large family gatherings, ( also I'm GST registered ,for businesses )
Two night minimum stay for weekends.
This house is a beautiful, open plan modern house and I encourage you to appreciate all that it offers. However, I do NOT want it used as a 'PARTY HOUSE', ,( NO bucks or hens nights) ,please do NOT request a booking if that's your intention.
Special conditions:
please vacate by 10am ,arrivals 4pm,unless previously organised.
Surcharge of $80 if you only book for one night.

The property was spacious for all 13 of us. So many bedrooms. Great living areas. Large viewing windows upstairs letting in lots of natural light.

Really nice property with a good flow and plenty of room. Worked really well for a staff planning session with a good size table for 6 people to work and stay all having our own rooms and easily able to have a male and female accomodation level. There were a couple of issues with the bookabach software for communication but this is not a reflection on the host or the property their communication was excellent and they were great hosts. Would definitely go back.

The house has an amazing view,roof top terrace and a kitchen that allows 6 or 7 people to be cooking and chatting with the views. For a group it was fabulous. It has anothersmaller lounge and kitchen and beds downstairs and sleeps 17 ...thanks Doug ,as midwives we loved it and have already thought about another stay. The Buddhist pictures and statue,as a Buddhist myself were a special bonus for me.🙏💜

We stayed at this property just this weekend gone. Great property for our group of 10 adults. Good size kitchen, plenty of room in the open plan lounge, dining room for all of us to relax. Ample bedrooms, one of our groups had there own area downstairs which suited them perfectly. Plenty of bathrooms for the ladies to get ready for the wedding. Doug was prompt to reply and easy to contact. Would be happy to stay again.

We loved our visit to Raglan, the house and lodge was just absolutely perfect for our group who consited of 5 couples and 4 kids. Everyone was impressed, everything worked and we could watch the rugby with no internet issues. I would highly recommend this place. And Doug was great to deal with! We will most definitely be back!

Comfortable house with plenty of rooms and beds. Not far from town. Be lovely in Summer when the roof deck could be used. Lots of space for all the family to be together. Very good communication with the host.

When we first stumbled upon this bach on BookaBach, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Doug is the most thoughtful, gracious host.   He provided us with all the information we needed. The place is just perfect! Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs.  The beds were comfortable, bathroom and terrace are excellent. House was suitable for a 11 adult and 6 children accommodation coming from all over New Zealand and Australia. Queen sized bedrooms were great but some bunk rooms were cramped for parents and a child or children but we were a big group. Kitchen was functional but ovens difficult to operate. Lovely large dining table fir a big group. Good parkingfir a number of cars behind each other.Thankyou doug.

The property suited our family of 16 very well and the spa pool was really clean and a hit for many of us. Doug came promptly to help with an issue that arose during our stay. Some attention to maintenance would help with safety for the 4 ~2year olds - eg handrails on stairs and banging in nails on the veranda gazebo. Overall however it was a great venue.

The place was clean and in a good location. We had a group of 13 and it was nice to be able to all stay together. The only downside was a few of the bunk beds were pretty uncomfortable for adults to sleep on with only a foam mattress but otherwise everything was great.

The overall experience was nice, we did have a couple issues regarding some of the beds, but the owner did make it clear he would look into it after! Only other thing I would say was the BBQ was very dirty when we got there and we didn’t use it as such. It was a shame as we cook all our own food and one the meal plans required a bbq… However everything else was pretty nice- the kitchen had a decent amount of cooking equipment and everything was working as it should. The location was nice as well.

Good sized living area for a large group. For the cost the lack of airconditioning was a disappointment especially given the requirement to close all windows from 9pm. Two of the upper floor bedrooms have a very unpleasant musty smell.
