About this house rental
Green Cottage is a gorgeous, original Patonga Cottage beautifully kitted out with all the comforts of home and everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Cool and breezy in summer (with pedestal fans) and warm and cozy in winter (with child-safe wood burning stove and electric blankets). It is located right on the creek (with road access) and has its own private jetty.
Sit on the wide verandah and watch the pelicans on the jetty, enjoy a paddle up the creek into the pristine national park, hunt for soldier crabs on the sand by the creek, close your eyes and listen to the parrots in the trees, stroll down to the beautiful Patonga beach and float on your back through the river mouth, beach comb on the deserted beach, fish from the jetty, hike along the large number of trails in the area, dine at the popular Boathouse, play cricket in the reserve out front, read a book or play a boardgame, have a barbeque and watch the sun go down over the mangroves...
So many options - all of them relaxing!
Green Cottage facilities
The main cottage sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms (1 with queen bed, other with bunk and trundle). It has a renovated bathroom (2014), well equipped modernised kitchen plus dining room and lounge furnished with great retro gems. The cottage is surrounded on 2 sides by a broad, well shaded verandah with couches, chairs, barbeque and outdoor dining table. Please note that the pizza oven visible in the property photographs is not available for guest use.
In addition there is a renovated (2011) sleep-out for 2 additional people (queen bed) plus an outside toilet and basic bathroom/laundry (with shower and bath).
The cottage is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, and smart TV. The cottage has broadband internet and WiFi making it suitable for remote working.
Green Cottage is a paradise both indoors and outdoors for children. It is stocked with children's toys, books and boardgames. The securely fenced garden has a tyre swing. To make the most of the beach location there are kayaks and life jackets (child and adult sizes) available plus boogie boards. Please note that the trampoline shown in the photos is no longer on site.

This was the fourth time we stayed her - two smaller families. It’s amazing every time. Such a beautiful location, cute old-school weatherboard house. The back of the house opens out onto a dreamy river and jetty setting. We’ll be back again!

Superb location and relaxed retro vibe. Main picture is back of the house - don’t let that put you off, the wrap around verandah on the river front is where you will want to be , it’s semi enclosed so it feels private and has gorgeous tranquil outlook over the water and sunset

Magical spot
We loved this beautiful cottage set right on the creek. Lovely, relaxing afternoons spent on a picnic rug under the trees, watching the other half of the family kayak about. Wonderful break in beautiful Patonga
Coming out of 106 days of lockdown we couldn't wait to get to Patonga. What a fantastic 10 day stay we had! This was our fourth time at Green Cottage which is a perfect getaway for our family. The location is unbeatable and we enjoyed kayaking, walking and just relaxing by the creek.
Rebecca was very responsive and accomodating of our many changes to stay in line with COVID rules. We changed our date 3 times without a problem.
While Rebecca lives overseas she is contactable and the emergency contacts are on hand to help with any immediate issues.
The house is a perfect seaside holiday house - charming and well equiped for a relaxing stay. We will definitely be back.

Three night getaway with family. Arrived to the house to find a filthy house. Nothing could be used until we cleaned it. Droppings in the kitchen cupboards, floors hadn’t been mopped or swept . It was a shame as the location was lovely . Shame the owner didn’t tell us she doesn’t live in the country as she certainly has some issues with this place . We wanted to have the linen supplied called her contact person and had a reply back saying we don’t service that place anymore. Owner was not really interested in advising another service company as she already had our money.

Perfect holiday house
This is truly the perfect holiday house. 70's vibes and decor evoke memories of holidays growing up. The location is perfect with the water and jetty in your backyard and a short stroll to the town centre. Big outdoor patio around the house and bbq made entertaining family super easy, with all our meals eaten (and bottles of wine drunk) overlooking the water. Secure and safe for kids to walk around the property mostly unsupervised. Perfect getaway, will definitely visit again.

Fun for all
We all had a great time, need to go home to rest. We fished and caught some and threw back some, swam, walked, jumped of wharf, paddle board (our own) used canoes and vests, ate our own fish, drank and enjoyed it all. Grandkids had a lovely time.

We had another successful trip to Green Cottage. The house is perfectly placed for the creek and once again we enjoyed jumping off the jetty, kayaking up and down the river and exploring the mangroves. The veranda was an ideal place to watch the world go by. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Can’t recommend enough.

My family and two extra friends enjoyed our time here. The location and view are awesome. The house and furnishings are old but functional. It was very cold when we stayed but there was a generous amount of fire wood provided.

Loved the location for our winter Weekend getaway. Cottage is comfy and welcoming. Lovely wrap around verandah for early morning coffee whilst enjoying watching the pelicans swimming past. We appreciated the wood stacked for us to make a lovely warm fire for chilly evenings. cottage well equipped. If you need wifi - can walk 5 minutes to the Boathouse. We did a scenic bush walk from Patonga to Pearl Beach for lunch and then arranged a taxi back to Patonga. Was a very special weekend. Only criticism would have liked a slightly bigger tv to watch some of our specially chosen DVD’’s to watch in front of the blazing fire. Will definitely consider booking again.

All about the View
An escape to a sleepy village and a quiet retreat. The cottage is very cosy and with lots of retro character and the best thing we enjoyed was the balcony with a view. We ate breakfast, lunch & dinner there looking out at the creek and jetty. Loved the location and It provides a great opportunity to chill out. Thank you.
