The stay at the Overleaf was overall relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely make it an annual vacation stay.

Easy access to the beach and great view of beach from the room. I also appreciated the charging stations.

I enjoyed the facilities, but would have preferred more variety for vegans for breakfast. Also noticed nobody mentioned a 1 dollar daily charge to donate to the maintenance of Cape Perpetua. I would have preferred to have the staff to give us the choice to donate rather than automatically billing us.

Will continue to come back as long as I visit the Oregon Coast!

The Overleaf Lodge is my happy place! I have relatives who live locally but always make it a point to stay here at least one night! Summertime on the coast is amazing so what better place to stay...right on the ocean with gorgeous views!

I am not a fan of the new buffet setup where employees serve you but the food is still good. I remember it being a lot better and easier when you could serve yourself but I guess this is a result of Covid or whatever. There was one staff member (a woman with short hair) who was extremely unfriendly and acted like she was annoyed when I went up to ask for seconds. This is definitely not typical of the Overleaf as most of the staff is very friendly. I also miss the happy hour they used to do in the afternoons.

The views are fabulous and the walkable trails just outside from our hotel are beautiful.

There is nothing our group could find that would approach even a slight word of criticism.

Love this beautiful resort

The room was clean and had a lovely view ocean side. The windows were screened so we could hear the waves at night. Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows. The spa was really nice and relaxing to use. All of the staff were pleasant and the breakfast was better than expected.

Wonderful stay -a front door view of nature’s powerful beauty of waves crashing onto the shoreline.

Walking out the door to view the pounding surf! What a treat. loved the walking path that ran parallel to the water!

Relaxing and refreshing

Location is fantastic. Easy access to 804 trail, lots of benches outside to sit on and enjoy the view. The breakfast was plentiful with a nice room to sit in to enjoy the meal. Enjoyed the free spa pools that have a great view - felt the facilities were quite nice as an included feature. I imagine it can get crowded/popular - but it wasn't when I was there. So did a lot of relaxing in the pools and refreshing on my walks along the 804. I was given a choice of free beverage at check-in that I wasn't expecting - a nice little extra to help you not feel quite as bad about the cost of the room!

The rooms, like so many hotels, are not sound-proofed. I could hear people and also super squeaky floors above me. I do believe you pay extra if you want a top floor. But for what we pay for rooms, not sure why hotels don't invest in better sound proofing. Luckily, no one was noisy into the wee hours during my stay.

The Overleaf was absolutely perfect in every way.

The breakfast was well organized and food was good. Our room was a perfect location to sit on the balcony and whale watch. We actually saw a few spouting water. Hearing the waves crash on the rocks is such a relaxing sound. We will be back.

Somehow it was even better than our stay last time a year ago. This location can’t be beat for ocean views.

The only drawback is walking outside to get to breakfast, but it’s sheltered.

Tv remote didn’t work, not a very good breakfast, coffee was terribly weak. 320 per night it should of been much better.

Great stay by the ocean

Staff was very friendly and highly willing (and able) to accommodate our needs Views are beautiful, especially on a sunny day

the ocean heals everything in life

the people at Spa were exceptionally accommodating! and the breakfast crews were very friendly.

The new people at front desk would need a lot more training to be professionals, the stuff before pandemic was exceptionally friendly to customers! The new front desk crews in my opinion don’t have what it takes to be in the service industry. Their attitudes are not something can be trained sadly. But eventually the manager came out upon our request and helped out! We were ready to walk out!

Friendly, courteous, professional and helpful staff. Very well maintained facilities and wonderful ocean views and visit opportunities

The hotel did not make use of full hvac, although the climate seems to largely offset this requirement

location, friendly staff, huge room

breakfast was hit-and-miss. great Saturday, pretty good Sunday but really mediocre on Monday. Dry & semi-burned french toast & bone-dry overcooked scrambled eggs.

Most wonderful sunset location.

The location was superb with wonderful views of the rocky coast. Staff was very kind and helpful.

The only comment I’d make to improve the property would be to have one or two extra washers and dryers.
