Carla is a real ambassador for the Alentejo region.
We came back after our stay in Mertola and enjoyed the roof top terrace once again.
Based on her great tips we got months before we enjoyed Evora (2 nights) – Moura – Mertola (2 nights) - Mina de S. Domingos - Pulo do Lobo – Serpa – Evora (3 nights) – Estremoz – Borba – Vila Viçosa – Monsaraz
A big thank you Carla for your hospitality!
Our top 3 Alentejo cities:
1) Monsaraz
2) Evora
3) Mertola
Our top 5 Alentejo resto:
1) Taberna Tipica Quarta-feira (Evora – Joáo Dias and his team are absolutely the top)
2) Sahida (Monsaraz – wonderful view)
3) O Combinado (Evora)
4) O Molho (Moura – secretos de porco preto in hometown from Carla)
5) Tamuje (Mertola – private outside loge with Rio Guadiana view - Herdade da Bombeira Reserva)
Please ‘like’ this message if you appreciate my tips.
PS: Unfortunately resto Botequim da Mouraria (Evora) and Al-Andaluz (Mertola) were closed as they enjoyed Ferias themselves

Our host was so kind and accommodating. Really appreciated the warm welcome upon our arrival!

Carla was very welcoming, very helpful. You can really feel she puts her heart in what she does. The quality of her place resides in great features and many small details that make one feel taken care of. It’s not just business; it’s a very nice human exchange. The roof terrace is the cherry on the cake.

It was in a very quiet area of the old town, close to the concert we were attending.
Era num bairro muito tranquilo, perto do concerto a que íamos assistir
Nothing come to mind.
Nada.

Ideal location, very quiet.

The space is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, there is a fully equipped kitchen that is open for everyone to use, and the rooftop upstairs is just breathtaking. The absolute highlight was the host Carla though, she is the sweetest, most personable and most helpful person you could ask for as a host!

The owner of the place is lovely & nice.
The rooftop gives a nice view over Evora and the house is typical from Portugal which is nice to see.
Great location as well :)
Small bathroom.

Carla is a wonderful host at her charming home in Evora. Super cute and comfortable with a shared kitchen"ette" space. It is right in the center of old Evora (pay attention to the host's advice on parking if needed) and a short walk to all the historic city center has to offer. Also an easy entry by car to the Alentejo Wine Route, Cartuxa Monastery, and 40 minutes drive to Herdade do Esporão Winery and the town of Reguengos de Monsaraz.

The location was perfectly placed as to allow you to walk everywhere within 10 mins. The house itself was very cute and dates back to the 1700s.
Everything was fantastic, to be honest.

The pillows could be softer.

Great location, close to terrific restaurants and all the major sites. Lovely rooftop terrace to star-gaze at night and take your coffee in the morning, too.
Room I had was a bit small and dark, there are a couple bigger rooms with better light that I would recommend specifically booking.

Very helpful and friendly hostess who lives on the first floor. Very sweet and clean room. Free parking just a few blocks away — outside the wall — where there are several large free parking lots.
Everything was fine! Nothing to dislike. Highly recommend this place.
