Finding somewhere to stay that you can park a larger car that is close to the beach is actually kind of difficult?! Coronado was out for us bc of the water situation. We’ve done mission beach, but the parking was miserable. Pacific Beach was kind of the same, and was busy. We decided to give Del Mar a go when we found this place. This was such a charming, little house for a beach vacation! Unfortunately we had kiddos (2 & 3) that got sick and decided to leave early. We’re definitely more of a hotel family, but we would have a hard time not staying here if we find ourselves in southern CA again. The beach was a super short walk, there is a garage full of toys (sand, paddle boards, etc), and Del Mar is far an away my favorite beach town we’ve visited so far. We had a large suv (maybe an expedition?) and knew it wouldn’t fit in the garage, but there was tons of room in the driveway. It was so nice to not have to worry about moving the car or finding a place to park- the most miserable part of past trips. Thanks for sharing your property!

The house was amazing. The very best VRBO we’ve ever been in by far and we’ve been in many many with travel baseball and soccer. The check in check out and everything could not have gone smoother. Thank you.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable long weekend. The house is in a great location. It was so easy for the kids to just run back if they needed anything throughout the day. They were so well stocked with beach chairs, beach toys and plenty of towels. The beds were comfy. The house was beautiful. We will definitely be back.

The home was just as the pictures showed… beautiful and clean beach house! We loved the home’s layout, outdoor spaces, hot tub, and ocean views! It was very walkable to restaurants, shops and beach… thank you for the amazing experience!!

We loved our stay in this beach house! We cooked in and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of beach towels, surf and boogie boards, beach chairs. Steps from the beach and restaurants, no car needed. Outdoor shower, dry sauna and hot tub were great! We had a bit of rain while there for Easter, so stayed at doors more than we were expecting, really nice to have cable tv to watch and large family room to hang out in. We would definitely rent this property again.

Very cozy home. Love falling asleep to the sound of waves. Nice and private outdoor space, god hot tub. Awesome location for walking to town and beach walks. Would stay again

We have stayed in Del Mar before and this was the perfect beach house for our family of 5. It was so nice to be able to walk to the beach with no shoes if we wanted. The house had everything needed to wash off and even had plenty of beach towels and toys! The kids loved the hot tub too! The house was beautiful and clean and exactly as expected. And communication with Tyler was perfect. He was highly responsive if I had any questions and before and after our stay. Will definitely stay again!

The house is in an optimal location in Del Mar. Close to the downtown and 15th St., and one house off the beach. My only recommendation would be to upgrade some of the living room furniture, but we would definitely stay here again.

Our second time staying at this property, but not our last. GREAT location without paying “on the beach” pricing. Walking distance to Del Mar restaurants. Hot tub is great if the ocean chills. Great sunset view from the roof top deck.

We had a wonderful stay in Del Mar at this cottage beach house. Amazing location to beach and restaurants/shops. Sleeps 6 comfortably in very nice beds!! Futon is good for a toddler/smaller child. Very clean and has everything you need. Would book again! Thank you!

If you are looking for a beach rental this is a wonderful pick. Just steps from the beach and stocked with all the beach toys you could hope for: boogie boards, surf boards, stand up paddle boards…you name it, they’ve got it! It also has a hot tub to warm up after the ocean. We had a glorious time here and would nightly recommend it! It is also walking distance to great restaurants and shops! The site host is responsive and kind! The only downside is it is a little small for 8 people. It really only comfortably sleeps 6.

The house was literally a few steps from the beach, the neighborhood is quiet, and the accommodations made you feel like you were at home. Tyler was very responsive and a wonderful person to do business with.

Great house in a great location. short, easy walk to the beach and all the restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. the only negatives were, the hot tub was too dirty to use, the kitchen could have been better stocked with beer pans and utensils. One of the bedrooms upstairs, the ceiling fan didn't work and the screens were missing for the windows. So this room was hot at night.

This house is clean and so well taken care of. It is fully stocked as well! So many surf boards, boogie boards, toys, etc. The proximity to the beach is wonderful and the property manager was on top of everything. Overall we had a really nice stay! We did have two issues/pieces of feedback: 1. The couch is entirely stuffed with feathers. They are stabbing you the whole time and someone in our group was allergic so she had to always sit in a chair. It would be great to have this updated. 2 Lots of beach go-ers and surfers like to park here and use this as their beach entrance (which is also a plus because that’s how close you are to the beach - 10 steps!). They’ll talk right outside the windows as they are changing / getting ready. No immature nonsense going on - just normal people trying to enjoy the beach - but it woke everyone up before 6am so we had to try cranking white noise to drown it out.

This place was perfect for us. The sight, sound and smell of the ocean was with us all the time, whether we were on the beach, on the balcony, or in the little outdoor courtyard. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful, and full of fellow dog lovers! Beach access was super easy. The only down side was the internet connection - they could use some signal boosters in this house, as there are numerous spots (balcony, twin bedroom, living room etc.) that have bad reception. We kept falling off the WiFi, and the signal strength was too weak to stream Disney Plus on our tablets. It would have been nice to have better WiFi, but I didn’t have to work so it was ok. This was the best place ever for quiet rest and relaxation!
