This 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1960s bungalow has been lovingly restored with the discerning traveler in mind. You’ll find all the modern conveniences of a 5-star villa with the privacy of 2 acres and a state park as your backyard.
Sip your coffee on the huge wraparound porch, then explore the mountain stream and discover hidden waterfalls and pools throughout the estate. You’ll find the rare Oconee Bell along the creek bed, wild ginger and more native plants to the Jocassee Gorges region of South Carolina.
Fall asleep to the sounds of a waterfall in the master suite, luxury queen bed. Dual vanities and step-in, subway tiled shower in the master bath.
Another queen bed in the guest room also opens up to the waterfall.
The kids will love their bunkroom. Four twins provide a cozy, fun place to hang out and rest from a long day on the lake.
Our chefs kitchen comes equipped with all you will need to prepare a delicious feast or quick sandwiches for the boat. Comfortable seating in-kitchen and outside on the porch.
WiFi is available throughout the property at the Jocassee Bungalow, although we suggest a completely unplugged experience. Forget about the rest of the world and immerse yourself in nature. Verizon, AT&T and Sprint work fairly well. TV is equipped smartcast.
What about getting on the lake? In partnership with JB Boards, South Carolina’s own most beautifully designed stand up paddleboards, you will find 2 boards included with your stay. Get out there and go for a paddle and experience Lake Jocassee offshore. A truck or large SUV will be best for transporting boards to the lake. Use cam buckle straps when strapping boards to the roof of a vehicle.
We also have recommendations for pontoon and ski boat rentals, must see destinations on the lake, hiking, drive-to day trips and our fav restaurants in the area.

We rented this bungalow for Fall Break, and could not be more glad we did! Everything about it was ideal. So clean. So relaxing. So fun! The kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds were from a storybook. My 8yr old son and friend must of slid down the mini sliding rock a gazillion times, while we enjoyed the firepit. The convenience to Devils Fork is unmatched. We rented a boat for a few days. It was ready for us on the dock every morning. We loaded up the killer JB paddle boards that were provided by the owners and got to explore the Jocassee Falls upclose! Even behind them! Was magical! We pigged out one night at Habenros up the road, hiked Yellow Branch and Whitewater Falls plus explored Cashiers for an afternoon..bringing home so many goodies from the Farmers Market. Likely our best vacation and a while. Our posted pictures were so gorgeous , family and friends have been asking for the link for the bungalow like crazy. If you can add this feather if an experience to your hat.. you should!!! Can’t wait to go back! Oh and the owners were 💯 ! Easy. Responsive. And Clearly cool folks!

Wonderful!
We had such a great week at the Jocassee Bungalow. We kayaked on the lake and did several hikes in the area. The house was so clean and comfortable and also had special unique touches. Our kids loved the painted rocks and swing. They spent hours exploring the stream and little waterfalls on the property monitoring the salamanders and Oconee Bells in bloom. We made so many special memories and hope to return!

Jocassee Hideaway
Quiet, relaxing and beautiful getaway at the Jocassee Bungalow. The house was updated, clean and cozy. The waterfall beside the fire pit was everything! You’re in walking distance to the Devil’s Fork State Park and Jocassee Lake (rent a boat to see the waterfalls) and short driving distances to many other sites - hiking at Table Rock and site seeing at Issaqueena Falls and Sassafrass Mountain to name a few. Great vacation at a great house on a beautiful piece of property. Kids loved the yard, swing, fire pit, waterfall and especially the rock painting. 5 stars!!

Wonderful location
This house was beautiful! The location was wonderful as well! Our kids loved playing in the mini waterfalls on the property. You don’t even have to leave to have fun exploring the outdoors!

Very nice house that has been nicely updated.
Property is great but bridge in driveway very difficult to maneuver larger vehicles especially trying to pull a boat. Next trip will arrAnge for temporary storage of the boat at the Outfitters.

Style in the Wilderness
Gorgeous property! Will surely be back. The amenities, location, and hidden paths are what makes this spot amazing. Literally right down the road from the beautiful Lake Jocassee which should most definitely be enjoyed on the provided Paddle Boards. Spend the day...heck spend several days adventuring this lake but don't miss out on the numerous waterfalls driving distance from this home including one of the largest on the East coast of the US, Whitewater Falls.

Beautiful
The house was beautiful as was the property. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. My only concern was if there was a medical emergency we had to go to the top of the driveway for service.

Perfect home!
Beautiful cottage nestled amongst the trees on private land. Near things to do but far enough away that you embrace your surroundings. Beautiful home decor! Love this home! Stocked and everything you need is provided.

Great little place with lots of nice perks
The house is nicely renovated, clean and sitting on a beautiful piece of property. The owners included a lot of nice touches inside and out like a swing, nice fire pit, paddle boards, books to read, etc. The wrap around porch is perfect for relaxing. The location is private, but I wouldn’t call it secluded if you’re looking for that - there is road and neighbor noise. Also, it’s not really walkable to the lake. But overall it’s a great little spot and I would highly recommend it.

Jocassee Bungalow Thanksgiving getaway
We greatly enjoyed staying at the Jocasse Bungalow over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property is very pretty and very private. Both the inside and outside furnishings are very nice (and new), and all the spaces and fixtures are very modern. The entire place was spotless! We had several cooking assignments for a dinner elsewhere and it was the best equipped kitchens we have ever rented, with plenty of pots, pans, spices and cooking essentials that were very appreciated. We look forward to coming back.

Book Now!
Look no further for an amazing space to stay! The Jocassee Bungalow is in an ideal location just beside the state park. The location allowed us to easily explore the area and get out on the lake early in the morning with no travel time. The state park pass was a great addition. The bungalow is newly remodeled and updated with everything you could need for an unplugged weekend getaway for family vacation. It was well stocked with linens, blankets, towels, and necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, and spices. The bungalow had plenty of space for our two families to spread out between the indoor and outdoor areas. We enjoyed the different games and puzzles that were provided too. In addition, Jason was an excellent host. He communicated well, answered our many questions, and was easily accessible during our stay. We plan to return again soon and would highly recommend if this place is available to book your stay! We cannot wait to come back.
