The house is located just 15 minutes form the center of Acapulco bay and 20 minutes from the airport, yet nestled peacefully in a private, guarded, gated, community, along with 249 other magnificent properties. The main Villa offers 3 very nice size bedrooms, with sitting areas and 3 and 1/2 baths with a fourth bedroom ajoining the main Villa. The entire house is done in marble. The front of the house is all glass, to enhance the spectacular view of Acapulco Bay. The main level consists of a large entrance, with a fountain and stairs off both sides. There is one large bedroom, full bathroom, sitting room and a separate exit to a terrace that overlooks the pool area. Plus....A incredible waterfall and water slide that is sure to please. The main level has a huge family / living room of all glass with love seats that over look Acapulco Bay, an elevated dining area, that seats 12, a separate bar area and a beautiful kitchen. Off the kitchen is the laundry room. Thier is also a large media room / bedroom with TV, stereo system and also a king size bed that over looks the living are and view of the Bay. Located out the two 14 foot glass doors of the family / living room is a beautiful patio area, perfect for dining or relaxing that also over looks Acapulco Bay Down another flight of marble stairs, will take us to the pool deck area, just redone in a cool deck white finish. Back up to the main level and up a marble staircase will take us to the second level. To the left a bedroom, with a full bath. To the right is the master bedroom. It is big and comfortable. Two large sets of sliding glass doors take us out to the marble terrace with an incredible view of Acapulco Bay! I love this terrace. It is very large, with a sitting / dining area and sunning area. Up a few stairs will take you to another terrace with another very private sunning area. The Villa has an ultra-violet water purification system and the Villa also has a water pressurization system. Many homes in Mexico suffer from poor water pressure, not this house and with all copper water lines. This house is set-up for pleasure. The Villa also offers Mexican Channels and USA Direct TV Satellite TV and wireless high speed Internet. This Villa is truly unique. It really must be seen to be fully appreciated. The villa was beautiful with amazing views of Acapulco, but the staff was even better. They always wanted to make sure we were having the best time, which we were!! Juanita is the BEST COOK EVER!! We all probably gained 10 lbs from all the delicious food. We came for my birthday and I felt like a birthday queen every day. We were so thankful for such an amazing place to stay. We felt safe 100% of the time and knew that Jesus the house manager was always looking out for us. There were a lot of mosquitos, but that just comes with being in a tropical place. I would recommend this Villa to anyone and everyone that wants a relaxing and beautiful vacation.

Best service and amazing views

This was our AnnualThompson family VacationAcapulco has always been one of our favorite destinations but Villa Alhambra exceeded our expectations. First of all the view is incredible one of the best you will find in Acapulco for sure. The home is very comfortable with all the comfort you need. Staff excellent. They cooked every breakfast for us everyday. Most evenings we went out to dinner however the cook was available for dinner too. Jesus the property manager took great care of us is also available to do city tours and excursions. Beds are very comfortable. Las Brisas is where the Rich and famous still go. Plenty big enough for two families.

Villa Alhambra was everything we were expecting and more. First Las Brisas is the best of the best area of Acapulco. Multi million dollar incredible Villa and the view of Acapulco Bay is spectacular. The Villa is very large so we all had plenty of room. The pool area has a waterfall with skid that the kids just loved. Jesus is the Villa administrator and will also drive for you for a reasonable fee. The Beds were very comfortable and we found the property to be well taken care of based on other rental homes we have stayed at. We are already planning or next visit to Villa Alhambra!

Wonderful relaxing mini Vacation!

In - house staff are amazing. They prepared breakfast/lunch/dinner to perfection. Felt very safe. Driver always readily available for any excursion.

We enjoyed very much Jesus & Co, but felt a little bit insecure about the tipping, since it seemed to be a big issue; how much to leave them.???Maybe a good idea could be to leave some advices to the guests to have an idea. We did not need their service all week around, since we also wanted to some privacy within the family.Another big issue are the mosquitos, and good advice is to maybe get the house sprayed, one of the girls had more than 40 bites when sleeping in the big bedroom. We did our best to keep all doors and windows closed, but some how they still managed to stay arround. The downstairs shower was in a very bad shape, only one drop of water coming out of the tap.
The house was perfect for our amount of people, and we had a fablous view to watch the fireworks on New Years Eve.

Jesus and Alejandra took really great care of us, and Juanita's cooking is just heaven (you can't miss the "pescado a la talla" and the mixed seafood ceviche). We were sad to leave, and would definitely love to go back.

Great view, great service!
We were a group of friends coming from Mexico City. As promised, the view of Acapulco Bay is amazing, and the house is very comfortable. However, the best was the staff. Jesus and Alejandra took really great care of us, and Juanita's cooking is just heaven (you can't miss the "pescado a la talla" and the mixed seafood ceviche). We were sad to leave, and would definitely love to go back.

We LOVE Villa Alhambra! We have been coming here with 4 couples 4 years in a row. LOVE the relaxing and beautiful TRUE VACATION this villa provides! We have privacy, our own pool, a staff to wait on us, cook us meals, we never have to leave the place if we don't want to. We feel very safe. we leave the house sometimes to go down to the beautiful private beach which looks like it is a movie set, it is so beautiful! I can't say enough about this
place. Looking forward to year 5 next year! I think that kids might get a little bored if families bring them here. There isn't a TON to do and you do have to drive to go to the beach. But for adults, and groups, you just can't beat the villa, the location, the view and the staff!
Oh, also, it feels safer than ever. The people seem happier, the airport security seems to smile more, just all around very welcoming and the most 'comfortable' we have felt in 4 years.

We were very disappointed by our stay at Alhambra.
The villa is in a very fine and safe neighborhood of Acapulco, with spectacular views of the bay below. VoIP phone for free calls back to the States was great. And Wi-Fi throughout was fast (although spotty in some areas of the house). However, we had specifically asked the owner if there were direct sun on the pool area, and he had assured us that there was. Turned out to be untrue, at least at that time of year.
Also, the pool is unheated and very small. Probably more accurate to call it a "plunge pool," rather than a full swimming pool.
Alhambra, itself, is in a state of early dilapidation. Wall plates and plastic handles for light switches are missing. Some bathroom fixtures are not fastened to the floor and leak around the base. Some window screens were ripped or otherwise had holes through which insects could enter. My son was very badly bitten all over his face and upper body over 4 nights in the master bedroom. We never pinned down whether it was mosquitoes or bedbugs.
Vertical blinds were missing chains that attach their bases. Sofa cushions were badly stained and filthy. The heavily promoted master bedroom TV, with direct access to USA channels, never worked. There was significant hi-fi equipment, but it looked as if it had been wired and installed by me – certainly not by a professional.
And the promised professional staff was nowhere to be found. We did have a very nice woman who cooked good, simple, home Mexican meals and who made the beds and washed our towels. And her husband, a helpful "concierge," came and went each day. Their very nice, 18-year old son also helped with serving, but we usually ended up getting our own missing plates and utensils and clearing the table ourselves when we were done.
It was far from the "5-star" experience we had been promised. We decided, after 4 or 5 days, to move to a local hotel. That was about a month ago. Since then, I have been waiting for a reasonable resolution from the owner. To date, and despite his protestations that he would get back to me, I have heard nothing specific.
We have since learned, until we arrived after Christmas 2013, that there had been no guests at Alhambra since August.
Beware: the view – but not much else – is as promised!

The private pool and slide where enjoyed daily. I highly recommend this Villa we enjoy coming all the time and are always pleased with the staff and Jesus.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Armanda the chef made her famous French toast piña coladas for my kids. She catered to all their needs, this is why I would come back over and over. The pool area is like your own resort with a waterfall and waterslide into the pool and a incredible view of Acapulco Bay. The bedrooms are very nice size and the master bedroom has is very large with a private patio overlooking the bay. The Villa has a USA phone which came in handy to stay in touch with family and also USA TV. The staff was just great, Jesus is the Villa Adminastrator and checked on us everyday and helped us set up any day trips or dinner reservations that we needed. The cook and housekepper were outstanding as well. The Las Brisas area in by far the best to be in and we felt very safe while we were there. The owner was very nice to work with and we can not wait to return and in fact we are already planning our next trip this coming October. Thanks for a great vistit!
