Very calm hotel in a superb spot just in front of Philae temple. Perfect to disconnect.
Food is great and people working at Eco Nubia are super nice :)
A bit far from Assouan city. Requires a bit of organisation to go in town.

Amazing location, very nice staff, delicious breakfast and restaurant (local cuisine), nice atmosphere, simple but nice family room with bathroom

The front desk is really nice and they offer boat to pick you up from the dock. The rooms are clean. And the scene of nile river and temple is amazing.
There insects in some of the rooms.

Stunning views of Philae Temple, buildings harmonious with nature, delicious breakfast, all around magical experience. Stay more than one night to recover from the hustle & bustle of urban Egypt - you will not regret it!
Nothing - we liked everything. If you struggle with steep pathways, this place may not be for you. And since the rooms face east, you may want to bring a sleep mask.

Great views and the architecture is respectful of the landscape

The lodge is directly opposite Pilae Temple - and has a stunning view of the islands. Very easy to get to Aswan main ferry port and back. The rooms were well equipped and well put together. Breakfast was amazing with, especially with the view of Isis Temple.

Dommage.

Nothing. I loved it

Nice location in the island with nice view on river Nile and Philae temple.
Very good breakfast, lunch and dinner
Staff (and manager) very friendly, helpful and supportive with inquiries
I would recommend this place as great holiday break during the winter season when it is not too hot.
The little one got quite a few mosquito/insect bites even during winter night-but this is nothing to do with the property
The shower has limited water pressure but we are still okay with that.

The location and views were beautiful.
A room without air-conditioning resulted in mosquitos inside the room and the mosquito net. Resulting in numerous bites on my arms, legs, and feet - people asked if I had encountered bed bugs. Ants and two geckos greeted me as well, which can happen.

The location is great, away from the noise in Aswan. Having breakfast with a view of Philae Temple is super. Room furniture is basic but has all one needs. Staff is friendly and correct. Kitchen at Eco Nubia served us the best food of our trip. Breakfast is local Nubian food, interesting and very tasty. Mohammed organized us a boat each time we wanted to leave / return to the lodge - flawless communication via Whatsapp. We loved our stay.
I'd recommend to be organized and ask Mohammed beforehand to have a driver available at the port. Each time we did, we had a friendly driver charging a reasonable amount. We were told that there are drivers / taxis available at the port, but the one time where we did not book a driver through Mohamed, there was nobody there when we arrived. Locals phoned "a friend" and a taxi driver arrived soon but wanted to charge us an absolutely hideous amount (3x price) to take us to Aswan. And with no other cars available we had no choice. So pre-book is advisable.

The view from our room and from the outdoor dining area was spectacular. The meals were delicious. The staff prepared a great box breakfast for the days we needed to leave early for sightseeing. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The boat taxi to and from the lodge was quick and efficient.

what's not to like about this place.
you are staying on an island in the middle of the Nile River with a prime location overlooking the main attraction of Aswan which is the Philae temple and you have a small private beach to take a dip in the Nile when it gets really hot during the day! one of my favorite stays in Egypt!
the room was big and clean
the food is really good! you have to place an order way ahead as they slow cook their food
the staff are very friendly and helpful they make you feel at home
make sure to go around the island and explore if you pass through their garden and go to the left you will be able to find the original gate to the Philae temple as it was originally located on this island before being moved

Great stay at Eco Nubia - views to Philae temple, kayaking in the Nile, traditional food and cozy rooms.

I was hesitant about staying on an island, but this was 100% worth being a little isolated. Gorgeous property, incredibly views from the restaurant, the yoga studio on the hill, and from most of the rooms. The property has been built and is being cared for with so much love. If we were to return to Aswan we would definitely stay here again.
They arranged a middle-of-the-night airport pickup for us and the boat to the island was waiting for us when we arrived at the dock. Couldn't have been smoother, and it was magical arriving at the hotel at night.
Breakfast was delicious, and the views were incredible.
we would absolutely stay here again, but some constructive feedback:
- The family room was awkward: to get to the bathroom you needed to walk through sand. The outside area between the rooms and bathroom was empty. It would have been nice to have some chairs there (most other rooms we saw had outdoor seating in the balcony. This room did not have a balcony). The bathroom needs some shelves or a small table. If we were to stay again (and if we were to return to Aswan we would) we would book two double rooms with patio/balcony instead.
- everything worked out fine, but we would have preferred being able to arrange a taxi/driver to head into Aswan, instead of being taken to the dock with nothing lined up, since we were told they "don't do that" (other hotels we stayed at, that were not on an island, did arrange drivers for a few hours or the day). There was a driver at the dock in the end, and it worked out fine, but a little more help would have been appreciated.
- they have "family meals" for dinner, but don't have a vegetarian option yet. It would be much easier to be able to order a vegetarian meal this way instead of ordering dozens of small dishes, not knowing the size. I hope they'll add a vegetarian family option.
- right now the earliest you can get to Philae Island is fifteen minutes after it opens (they got the tickets at the ticket booth on shore for us before picking us up for the 1 minute boat ride to the island, which was great and very helpful). It would be wonderful, if possible, if they can figure out a way you can be at Philae at 7am when it opens. By 7:30 it was already full of tour groups.

Located in a very big and eco friendly island. Nice temple view from the restaurant. Simple but designed room with good quality facilities. Efficient boat services to the ticket office and the port. The food were good with reasonable price.
A lot of mosquitoes in the open area, but it is the problem for all over the Egypt.

location, amazing view right across the Phille temple.
Good selection of food and soft drinks.

The location is fantastic with great views. The room size was great and had a balcony with expansive views and there was a mosquito net for the bed, which could be useful if those pests appear. Fortunately, we had none. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The bed had a hard, rather lumpy mattress. This would be an easy fix that would improve our rating. The shower is what it is, but it's a strange set-up - it's just in front of the toilet so water goes all over the place and drains in the floor next to the toilet. The shower itself works very well, but with no shower curtain you're just going to get water everywhere making the floor slippery.

beautiful space, amazing breakfast and very friendly staff
it was very cold at night and we should have had more blankets. the lighting was way too low and as this is a full eco hotel the room was a little dusty - we were very allergic.
