The property was as portrayed in the listing. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for something outside of downtown New Orleans.

We stayed 9 nights, rented a car to get around, and cooked 2 meals a day. We took the ferry at Chalmette and Angiers to get to the French Quarter, museums, etc. This made driving easier. That was what was special about our stay, just how much it was about the river. The house is 100+ years old and charming. It’s in a neighborhood. Very memorable. Host took care of us immediately when we needed something.

Patricia was wonderful. She even brought over a box of homemade pralines :). We would love to stay there again.

We love visiting New Orleans and this is a wonderful home base! Comfortable bed, great shower/tub and everything needed to cook real meals. We did not need it, but there is a full size good quality futon in the front room. Park 10 steps from the door and enjoy quiet neighborhood and walks to the river path. We will definitely return.

Wonderful peaceful neighborhood to come back to after the hustle and bustle of downtown. Very cozy and the river walk was amazing every morning! Definitely would love to visit again! Also the cute cat hanging out around the porch was a plus!

Upon arrival it was easy to access entering the property. The property was very clean and inviting, neighborhood was very quiet at night, could sit outside on the porch enjoying your favorite beverage. The bath and bedroom were perfect size ,solid wood floors throughout the house. Owner was extremely accommodating. Had a terrific time. Easy going dive bar down the street. Perfect little gem. We will come back. Thank you Patricia for the great place to stay.

The property was amazing! I loved the feel of it. It’s in a nice neighborhood right next to the river. While we were sitting on the front porch, you could hear somebody playing jazz music down the street. It was just a short drive to the French quarter, bourbon street, Caesar’s superdome, and this cute little breakfast place Wakin Bakin. Patricia responded very quickly to my messages and was very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close to the action, but not right in the middle of it.

I loved the old look of the place! The high ceilings! How close it was to the Mississippi! & jus a hop & skip away from everything you need! The property manager was great! We were unbothered, it was so clean & had everything we needed for our stay! Plus some snacks she had left for us! ❤️

The house was cute and Tricia was great with communication. Her extra touches of toiletries, snacks and bottles of water were a pleasant surprise!

We absolutely loved our stay in New Orleans! I’d never been there before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We had such a great experience. I was a little skeptical of the neighborhood at first, but after driving around the city I realized most neighborhoods in New Orleans are like this. You’ll have nice houses next to a run down shack, and I’m assuming it’s due to Katrina. I’m sure a lot of spots still need to be rebuilt/or fixed up. My husband fished on the river right on the other side of the flood wall. There’s a nice walking path up there. Very safe, and quiet neighborhood. Best of all was the house. It’s a true New Orleans style shotgun house. Loved the original details! The wood throughout the home was beautiful. The little old fireplaces were so cute. It was perfect for a couple. The owner was super friendly. I’m sure my husband talked her head off. Definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in a true NOLA style house within a 5 minute drive to the French quarter. We had an amazing stay❤️

We stayed in this adorable house for Jazz Fest. Very quiet street close to the levee of the Mississippi. Easy to get anywhere we needed to go. Tricia is an excellent host!

This home was the highlight of our entire stay. Located 10 minutes from downtown, this location was everything that we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and seated across from the Mississippi River, where we spent every single evening looking at the city and the ships. Our gracious host supplied us with more than what we needed. She even had fun sized candy and other snacks available for us. I have zero complaints and I look forward to booking this home again when we return in August. Thanks Patricia!!

Arrive by car during the day, so you can see the dog walkers, kite flyers, joggers, and picnic(ers) along the levis.

No issues. Not far from bus route to get you to where you need to go but the ride will be 30-40 mins depending on where you want to go. The jazz pass is a must if you don’t have a car. Didn’t see any grocery stores as we drove by so make sure to figure that out how far they are.

Short walk to a nice view of the River. Benches and a walkway! Short UBER ride to the French Quarter. Nice house with historical structure! Owner was nice enough to give us butter when we forgot! Thanks Trisha!!

As we drove to our rental, we were a bit skeptical of the neighborhood. But trust me when i say it was quiet, clean and safe. Never once was it anything else. The check in and check out was super easy. No long list of dos and donts. Are there little things i could point out? Of course. But who cares. It was clean, quaint and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend. Plenty of space and litterally everything u will need.

Very clean and quiet stay. Was worried about the reviews of the neighborhood, but the property was perfect for a quiet getaway in a quaint house. We spent most of the time hanging out inside and walking along the levee. When we did venture out to explore the city, it was a quick drive to just about anywhere. Don't let the surrounding area dissuade you from staying at this adorable house!

We loved this spot! Lots of open spaces to walk around. And the house is really great. It’s a bit of a drive to downtown - 10-15 minutes Lyft ride. Overall a great place to stay.

Our stay here was awesome! Super cool house, comfortable beds and pillows, house was clean and fully stocked - Patricia is the nicest lady, and the cats Boris and Natasha were the first ones to greet us when we arrived - we LOVED them. We felt safe in the neighborhood and in the house. All in all it was a fantastic stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone!

The location was close to the French Quarters that was a plus. The actual property needs a little touch here and there and a few updates. Otherwise the stay was nice. I did send an email to the property owner making her aware of the changes that need to be made or considered. I hope that these are met so it will be a much more enjoyable stay for others.

This property was a great place to layover prior to our cruise out of New Orleans. It was easy to find and our traveling around New Orleans was very easy! Located in a quiet neighborhood but still allowed you to know your were on the riverfront! Would stay again on our next trip!

It is a beautiful old home and a walk away from the river. My only company is the bathroom. Toilet space was tiny and the shower/tub wasn't too great. I would hesitate staying again just because of that.

I had such a relaxing and lovely time during my stay. The house is lovely, everything was so clean, the snacks and extra details were such a plus and nice touch, and the hospitality and communication was deeply appreciated. Looking forward to being back!

Tricia was wonderful, as well as her two very well-behaved kitties. Close drive to the French Quarter, steps to the Mississippi and a front porch we enjoyed all throughout our visit. We were very comfortable and Tricia had welcome snacks awaiting our stay. Thank you!

Trish was wonderful! Made sure we were able to sell check in as soon as we were ready. She had water, snacks and candy to tide us over. She also had everything clean, neat and fresh; bedding and bathrooms. She also had toiletries available.
The place is clean and comfortable. It was perfect for the two of us. We were able to go to the French Quarter, less then 5 miles away, enjoy the festivities and go back to a quite place to rest and recoup for the evening and have more adventures.
