We had such a relaxing time. It was so beautiful there. The lake was so clear and and gorgeous wish it had been warmer we were dying to swim in it. We fished, canoed, kayaked. We loved that they had everything available to take down to the water. The camp fire was amazing and they had a generous supply of wood. The Flat top grill was awesome to cook on and the whole little set up around the grill with the table and a fridge and the lights were just perfect. We spent almost all of our time down around the fire and the dock. Getting down to the docks were a little harder for the older ones and we didn’t know we had to supply our own toilet paper other than that we loved all of it! Such a great long weekend!!!

We rented two cabins for 11 people. Plenty of room. They are both well equipped with kitchen stuff, games, boats, fire pits, docks. Crystal clear water. Had fun swimming, kayaking, floating, fishing, walks. Lots of space for dogs to run free. All 3 generations of the family enjoyed it. Everyone wants to come back next year.

We had good time at the camp. The place setting was perfect for multiple families, with two separate accommodations we were able to comfortably sleep 10 members.
The lake access (and included canoe/kayak were bonus).
Cell phone reception was not there and so was WiFi - which was a limiting factor at times, but did allow for sole quality time with everyone. We got to enjoy board games and fire pit in the evenings.
Will look to go there again.

Plenty of room for all of us (10-12 in number, varied during the week) to sleep and eat and relax comfortably. The cottages were the best-equipped we've ever stayed in, in 14 years of family vacations. The lake has extraordinarily crystal clear water, and is really picturesque. We kayaked and swam and canoed and stargazed and enjoyed the place and each other tremendously. Superb family time! We highly recommend this lovely place. Janie was very friendly and accommodating, made us feel at home. Great all around!

oh wow I love this place. So in the middle of nowhere, nice quiet simple. I like that there is no Wifi, that the lake is super clean, the fire pit was wonderful and large and that there was plenty of watercrafts. 14 of us had just enough beds with room for blow ups if we needed them. Can't wait to stay again!

It was great to visit home after 13 years of not being able to due to work and duty stations. This was a great camp to rent and stay at, and allowed me to show my children and husband how I grew up on this lake! My parents were able to visit and my dad was able to teach my children to fish it was fantastic. Thank you for allowing me to give my children memories they will never forget!

Our large family group stayed for a week in August of 2020. Overall, we were all pleased with the property and it met expectations based on the photos, reviews and property description seen on VRBO. The lake is gorgeous and the various boating equipment was a hit with all. We would definitely considering returning in the future.
I was surprised that the owners didn't reach out with any additional information prior to our stay. A general email (or welcome book) about check-in & check-out times, recycling/trash, the road conditions & water potability would have been helpful. We relied on what was provided thru VRBO for general information. Mostly, we had pleasant surprises (like the availability of A/C) but some info- like the arrival time (we could have arrived 4 hours earlier!) and bedroom set-ups was not accurate. That said, I did contact the owner about some specific questions and received expedient replies to the questions I asked. Overall, a good experience!

Lake and property situation was amazing, owners met us at arrival and had both dwelling fireplaces running for us, so nice. We enjoyed the outdoor areas the most especially the awesome outdoor firepit where our family hung out for many hours. Hope to return on another fall weekend or perhaps a summer week If I can arrange a group.
thanks so much,

I rented both cabins for a family get together. It was a perfect getaway and we had a wonderful time. It is unbelievable how clear the lake is…truly beautiful! We were in the water all day and used all the paddle boards, kayaks, blow up rafts, and the floating swim dock. We enjoyed being unplugged and spent the nights playing games and making smores at the fire pit. There was a new TV with a DVD player but we never used it. The cabins are clean, comfortable and well stocked with all the kitchen items you may need. Space is a bit of an issue as the bedrooms are not much bigger than the size of the bed. Although there is limited storage space for clothing and food and a few decorative furnishings that took up space, we made it work and my group of 12 was able to fit between the two cabins. There is a wood fire pit in front of the small cabin and a gas fire pit in front of the large cabin. The dock in front of the small cabin has sun for most of the day while the dock in front of the large cabin is shaded all day. Sturdy shoes are recommended as the areas around the cabins/docks can be steep and rocky in places. The large cabin has two ceiling fans and two of the bedrooms came with a window fan but I recommend bringing extra small window fans for the other bedrooms. Bringing your own drinking water is no big deal as the water from the lake can be used for showering, brushing teeth, and cooking. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful getaway…this is the place!

Janie and Bill have a magnificent piece of property to share with anyone looking for a lakeside, wooded getaway. The large camp, which can sleep 8, is quaint, yet big enough to host a crowd, with an incredible dining area that overlooks the lake. The small camp can sleep about 6 more people, so this is a great property for a large family or even two, as each camp has its own kitchen. The lake is gorgeous, one of the clearest lakes I've ever been in, and the remoteness of the camp makes you feel like you're really off the beaten path. There are paddle boards, kayaks, and a canoe so you can further explore the lake. The sound of loons calling to each other makes it that much more magical. Janie was extremely accommodating and answered all my calls and questions. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking to escape the busy world and recharge their batteries. Thank you Janie and Bill for sharing it with us!

We did not want to leave this beautiful place! It was the perfect place for a family get together. The owners Janie and Bill are so nice and easy to work with. They responded quickly to all our questions and provided us with all the information we needed to plan our trip. The cabins were very clean, well equipped, & adorably decorated! The linens were provided and the comfortable beds were all made up. The beautiful fireplaces heated the cabins very well and made for cozy mornings and evenings. There were 12 of us and we rented both cabins. We had plenty of space and were able to have large family dinners. We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and a couple of us even jumped in the crystal clear lake on this late September weekend. The lake truly is peaceful and tranquil. There is a large fire pit which made for spectacular bonfires. It was so fun. We are planning to come back and can’t wait! We would definitely recommend this place and give it a 5 Star+ Rating. It far surpassed our expectations! We absolutely loved it!!

If you want a little bit of paradise this is it. Owner Jane is responsive and welcoming. Accurate description of property, the setting is breathtaking and you will spend most of your time outdoors. You will need to bring your own water but not a big deal. We loved not having WiFi or tv. Bring good sturdy shoes to navigate getting around to docks. We brought water shoes that worked well for swimming also. Almost didn’t want to write this review because don’t want to share this hidden gem, but wouldn’t do that to sweet Jane.

Best lake i have ever been to! Clean! Peaceful! The large cabin fit my family perfectly. 6 adults and 2 kids ages 4 and 5. We had 3 dogs with us as well. Owners, nicest people ever. We fished and kayaked and relaxed. Plan on no wifi or service. Even with Verizon, it was iffy. Other things to keep in mind, no AC-bring fans! Shared fire pit and hammock with the smaller cabin. If you don't rent both, its kind of awkward laying in their hammock or being on their side by their fire. Especially when you just want to be with your family. We ended up leaving the camp and getting our own fire pit. No gas grill, just charcoal. Bring plenty of drinking water. If you have kids that love to play in the sand-there is no beach on property, we ended up using the boat launch next door which was fine because no one else was around. There are steps into the water with a nice dock and deck overlooking the water. We brought portable little tvs with dvd players (like the kind you have on the back of your seats in your car) for the kids, which was perfect. Adults loved being remote! Town isnt far away. Beautiful fireplace inside the cabin, we did have 1 cold night so that was nice to have a fire. We certainly cant wait to be back!

The cabins are great. The large cabin has a large sitting space. The fire pit is the best! We loved sitting by the fire in the evening next to the lake. The lake is super clear and warm. Even our little kids could swim for hours. The raft was great. And lots of floating crafts ie, paddle boards, canoe, kayak etc. Kitchens are well equipped. We will return!
