About this house rental

Walk to downtown Main Street from this charming 1930’s bungalow. There you will find many restaurants, breweries and gift shops. Located just 30 minutes from Asheville and the Biltmore House and a 15 minute drive to the Asheville Airport and Sierra Nevada Brewery. Hendersonville is very family friendly with several major festivals each year. If you enjoy hiking, Brevard and DuPont State Park are also nearby. A three mile drive gets you to Flat Rock, location of the North Carolina state theater and the Carl Sandburg historic home. There are four bicycles available to ride at your own risk to downtown or on the Oklawaha Bike Trail. Numerous city parks are close by. Patton Park has a skateboarding park and public swimming pool.
The house is very spacious and has premium I-comfort mattresses and a smart TV. Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed. There is a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Home has 1500 square feet.
Be sure to look closely at the large March Hare picture in the living room which is full of surprises!

This is the third , maybe fourth time staying at this property. It is a cottage that is beautifully decorated, Immaculately clean, wonderful kitchen. Close to downtown Hendersonville. Great for two couples as we each had our own en-suites. Quite neighborhood. We enjoyed coffee on the covered front porch in the porch swing. I give this property 5 stars.

I stay in VRBO properties several times a year and this house was my favorite! It was pristinely clean, the beds comfortable and even the towels were plush. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking amenities needed to prepare meals in. The location is great for exploring downtown Hendersonville. Our host Denise was very nice and easy to reach with questions.I hope to come back someday. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We spent 3 weeks at this comfortable home in Hendersonville with family ranging from 11 to 79. All were happy, especially with the universally comfortable furniture (especially the beds) and stocked kitchen. My 79 yr old father uses a walker and found the side door easiest with only 2 steps. The wide doorways and spacious layout meant it was easy for him to move around. I’d recommend this place to others. And don’t miss the community mini golf one block over.

Such a beautiful home in a sweet small town. We stayed here with friends and all of us were so comfortable in this house! We loved hanging out on the front porch! It was so convenient being able to walk into the downtown area to explore the cute boutiques and restaurants. Communication with the owner was excellent; very quick responses. If I ever came back, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The house was fine but the neighborhood was less than desirable and we did not use the front porch at night. There was mold on the main shower curtain and hand grab and noise from Asheville Street (highway). Also, due to road construction in the city, it was hard to negotiate the streets, many being one way and/or closed and walking or biking to downtown was out of the question. We did enjoy the nice linens and comfortable bed and our visit to Chimney Rock.

We recently stayed at the White Hare Bungalow in Hendersonville, NC, and it was absolutely fantastic. Traveling with two young children can be challenging, but this place was just perfect for us. It’s situated on a quiet street, which gave us the peace we were looking for, yet it's close enough to stroll down to the lively downtown area with all its shops. The bungalow itself felt like a second home. It’s cozy and well-equipped, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Plus, the neighbors were incredibly kind and welcoming, which really enhanced our experience. I can't recommend the White Hare Bungalow enough, especially for families. It’s a great spot that combines tranquility with convenience, and we can’t wait to return!

This property was so clean, great fluffy towels, extremely comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Plenty of space to relax. An easy walk to a lovely downtown with nice shops and some delicious dining. Don’t miss Arabella for breakfast, Shine for lunch.

We were 3 women celebrating a 60th birthday. I cannot say enough about this bungalow! It was immaculate and well stocked. Beds were very comfy and towels very fluffy. A great location within a mile of downtown. The only suggestion would be to add a railing on front steps especially when carrying luggage in etc. But we are making plans to go back!!

Cannot say enough great things about our stay. One of the best rentals we have ever stayed in and we will definitely be back. Beds are comfortable and the master bedroom is beyond spacious and so beautiful. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms made our trip like visiting a home away from home. Denise was a great host and promptly answered all questions. The bungalow is just as described and pictures match perfectly. It is walking distance to the restaurants and safe neighborhood. The place was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Care is taken in the property. The bed, beyond comfortable and quiet sleeping. Plenty of awesome restaurants too. We would stay again!

Spacious home on a quiet street close to downtown. Well stocked with toiletries, kitchen condiments and cleaners. Like staying at grandma's house without grandma. If you like a softer mattress, you will like the king bed. The walk to downtown is not very easy... It is 1/2 to 1 mile, depending on your destination, but it is uphill and around a busy intersection currently under construction. Otherwise a quick drive to shops and restaurants. Nice big front porch for morning coffee. We will stay again.

Our celebration week was absolutely wonderful. White Hare location was perfect for us. It's very quiet and still close to town. The White Hare had all the supplies you could think of. We found the cups for coffee were a bit small so we purchased a couple of mugs and left them for the next guests as did others before us. Many thanks, Denise for sharing White Hare with us. We loved our stay at WH cottage. The location is close to downtown and other area activities. We were in town for a show at FRP and it’s a quick easy drive. It’s an short walk to downtown! It’s super clean, cozy, and comfortable. The neighborhood is fun and friendly. We loved it and hope to return. If you’re on the fence about this one choose it! You’ll be glad.

We love the White Hare Bungalow! This is our second time staying and have already asked for dates in 2024. The house is immaculate. Perfect for two couples with bathroom privacy for each couple. The mattresses are comfy and kitchen has everything we need. The location is close to Main Street where we usually eat dinner. Close to vineyards and other places to visit. Like to sit out on the front porch to enjoy the quite neighborhood. Memories are made at the White Hare Bungalow.

The beautiful decor, including the lovely wood floors, made our stay one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed in. The front porch is a true gem. We spent much of our nights watching lightning bugs in the front yard. The close proximity to town made restaurants and outdoor street festivals east to get to. Our week-long "work-cation" at the White Hare Bungalow was truly fantastic! From the beginning, Denise's communication was excellent, and she was incredibly accommodating, making it easy for us to manage our schedule. The White Hare Bungalow, a meticulously renovated 1933 Craftsman bungalow, charmed us from the moment we arrived. The thoughtful updates retained an authentic style while offering modern amenities like generous AC, reliable wifi, and a flat-screen TV. There is a well-appointed kitchen, equipped with every tool and gadget imaginable, the master bedroom with its spacious queen bed was incredibly cozy, and having two bathrooms allowed us to have some personal space during our stay. Cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout the house, and we especially loved spending cool evenings on the front porch with a glass of wine. It's worth noting that while the White Hare Bungalow is close to downtown Hendersonville, walking there can be a bit challenging. Navigating a busy intersection, active construction, uneven sidewalks and a modest hill might be difficult for those with mobility constraints. However, downtown offers ample, affordable parking, making it a quick and easy drive. Overall, our stay at the White Hare Bungalow exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Hendo. Denise's hospitality added a personal touch to our experience, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to her for ensuring a wonderful stay!

We loved this lovely, well appointed bungalow. It was an easy walk into town, but in a nice residential neighborhood. The front porch ended up being our happy place! The owners have provided a fantastic experience and we will absolutely be back! (Hendersonville is wicked cool too!)
