The 2-story house offers two sea view bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a spacious living-room and a well equipped kitchen. The rooms are large, furnished with the warm decor of family pieces. The property is on the water. It has a beautiful view. The property is very wooded and peaceful. Everything was accurate to the listing. The cottage was immaculately clean. We had a great time.

The VRBO was a very peaceful setting located on a peninsula. It was in a very quiet and secluded area. It is about 5 minuets to restaurants.
The owners obviously care about their home. It has a wonderfully decorated interior and has sitting areas down by the water - in two different directions on the property.
I think it was perfect for 2 couples - or a family with 2 or 3 kids. If we return to the area, we would certainly like to use it again.

We had a great time at this property. It was in a very nice and quiet location and close to nearby Lamoine beach area and the town of Ellsworth. We saw all kinds of wildlife on and around the property, including deer, fawns and baby turkeys. We visited Bar Harbor, Greenville, and many other nearby places. We highly recommend visiting this beautiful home. Jeremy, Courtney and Baylon

This was a friends trip to get away and hike Acadia. The property was perfect! We loved the water all around the property and loved drinking coffee in the morning just looking out. This was perfect to unplug and unwind. My only wish was for a bigger tv so we could watch football. We had a great time!

My family and I are very grateful to have stayed in this home once again. Besides the soggy weather this trip, we had a wonderful stay. I threw on a rain coat, explored the grounds and relaxed in the chairs with my coffee. Even with all of the rain we still had the best time. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you to our hosts and to Jenn the care taker for the personal touches. :)

We really enjoyed our stay. Bar Harbor and Acadia have a lot to offer, and the property was nice to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The views from the property were exceptional. Would stay again!

We came for the fall colors and to hike in Acadia. The house was just perfect for two couples. It was very quiet and had post card views of the lake and trees. The drive to Acadia was scenic. Everything was very clean and we were sad to leave. Communication was excellent with the caretaker.

This property sits on the coast where you get to experience the high and low tides every day. The sun sets over the water for wonderful views. It is far enough away from the tourist centered Bar Harbor, but not too far to drive and visit Acadia National Park. The seclusion makes the property feel very private and safe.
The photos on the listing are not updated. The owners have upgraded some furniture which made for a pleasant surprise.
The property and house are large enough that we didn't feel that we outgrew the living space during our 8 day stay.

Great place, we truly enjoy staying at the house and visiting Acadia National Park. View from the deck is awesome. House is well equipped and very comfortable. About 30 minutes drive to the park, but it worth it.

Stayed with my husband and 9 year old daughter and we loved this house and the area so much my daughter cried when we had to leave. This house is so clean, bright, quiet and comfortable! We would definitely recommend this place.

Peace and tranquility
Although the property is an hour away from the airport, it was perfect for us. We were only 40 min to Jordan pond in Acadia national park and also bar harbor. Going out on the island cruise in bass harbor was our favorite thing to do. The host told about the history, local culture and we saw and heard about the ocean creatures. We saw huge seals( and their babies), otters, bald eagle and other birds. We saw a salmon fish farm ( one of the largest in USA). Jen was very helpful on any questions we had. The home was lovely

Lovely, lovely retreat new Bar Harbor
This home was an absolutely delightful place to stay. Close enough to reach Bar Harbor in 15 minutes, it's remote enough to enjoy the beauty of coastal Maine without the crowds. The home is located on an inlet point so is surrounded by water on 2+ sides. There are lots and lots and lots of big windows in the house that bring nature inside. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular (which we enjoyed from the Adirondack chairs that sit near the water). We were visited by a raccoon, a skunk, a multitude of chipmunks and even some loons. Except for the occasional bird call (which we very much enjoyed), the home is surrounded by peace and quiet.
The house itself was nicely appointed. There is a great deck on the second floor that overlooks the inlet. The beds were comfy, the shower refreshing, and everything inside tasteful and comfortable. There was a coffee maker and filters (bless you) - which helped a lot when attempting to rise with the sun!
If we had stayed longer, we might have enjoyed using the bikes that were provided or spent more time on the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed roaming the property and appreciate the care taken to ensure your VRBO guests would love their stay.

Sunset Views!
The sunset view over the water from the property was amazing! Water views from 3 sides of this house made it even more spectacular. We loved the privacy and having coffee on the outdoor deck with the beautiful views.

Fabulous Property!
The property is beautiful, highly recommend if you are up for a more rural, waterfront setting! A bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia (half hour) but we thoroughly enjoyed the solitude....the only downside is if you are planning to work online or utilize the internet for anything important, it is very unreliable...not a deal breaker for us, depends on how much you will need it.

Gorgeous home with amazing sunsets
My husband, brother-in-law and his wife, and myself stayed here for 5 nights and loved it's proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor (about 30 minutes depending where in the park). I only wish we had more time to spend at the house. We saw one amazing sunset, and 2 were obstructed by clouds on the horizon but would have been amazing otherwise on the nights we were at the house. We saw so many deer every morning when we left the house for the park. The house itself is beautiful and has everything you will need for your stay (we were missing hand soap in one bathroom but made due with some leftover shower gel we found).

Lovely Stay
This was our first time in Maine and this property was just perfect for our little family. My kids, husband and I loved this house. It was such a peaceful time. Waking up to those beautiful views and tranquility are definitely going to be missed. Thank you Andrea too for all the great recommendations. We pretty much did everything you recommended and we loved it. Property manager is great too. She answers pretty promptly. absolutely gorgeous views. Sunsets are stunning and as described. The house was beautiful very well-maintained and appointed beyond typical means for VRBO. Plenty of cleaning supplies utensils plates garbage bags etc. etc. Short drive into Acadia. Stay was a key part of our family road trip from North Carolina. We won’t forget it. Thank you so much

Excellent property!! We didn’t want to leave!
This house is a slice of heaven! We absolutely loved the space, walking around the property, sitting outside on the deck and the sunsets are just breathtaking. As mentioned by others, make sure you don’t GPS to the house! Follow the instructions given. If you get to stay here your in for a great treat!

It was our home away from home!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home. The sunsets were beautiful and the location was peaceful and serene. My husband loved the peninsula. I loved the accommodations. I don't think the online pics do it justice. There is a lot of space inside and outside. We thought no air conditioning would be a problem but it wasn't because there was a nice breeze off the water. There were three things we didn't like. The drive to Acadia is considerable, we knew that ahead of time but if you are going to go there everyday it's a lot. We paid for internet but it did not work good. It was very spotty. Finally, the owners expected a lot during our stay, like watering their plants. Then, when we checked out they wanted us to do sweeping, wiping down surfaces, laundry, trash, and dishes. We thought that was overboard for renters since we paid a premium price. Overall, our experience was great and we would recommend this home to other travelers.

Anniversary getaway
Beautiful secluded property as advertised with a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Only negative complaint is the internet. though advertised as having internet, once you book the place then you have to pay extra for a certain plan. i got the 16mb plan but internet was very slow. upon doing a speed test several times download was only 1-2mb.
