Comfortable

Good size rooms, free ice cream at night, clean and comfortable

A bit of a hike from Kyoto station, but easy to get to by bus or taxi. Had to request new towels every night which was a hassle when other people were checking in.

No frills but very comfortable hotel in an amazing location with incredible value.

It’s a very simple hotel but it had every amenity and more that I was hoping for. The location was incredible.

Clean and big room. Free drinkable water from a dispenser. A little far from Kyoto station so very quiet. Good price

Short and sweet

Very helpful staff upon arrival. Convenient use of microwave and washing machine. Exceptionally clean rooms with comfortable beds. Great location if you don’t mind walking to near restaurants and Kyoto station. Easy access to bus stops. Ideally great for a short stay.

Conevnient for travelling in Kyoto.

Conveniently located, short walk from station. Nearby restaurants are available as well as convenience store.

Didn't offer pajamas like some other Japanese hotels do, but that doesn't take the goodness of the hotel away.

Pleasant

I liked that it was quiet and clean.

The check in process with confusing, and the staff that did come to help wasn't the most happy to see us. Also no one warned us about the added Kyoto tax, so we had to pay more after already paying. And the staff member could have explained but didn't.

Spacious room considering it was Japan, room has the basic facilities which is all we needed for our stay. Would stay here again.

Staff presence is a bit hit and miss. The washing machine/dryer did not work very well - better off using a laundrette.

I had a wonderful stay at M's Hotel Kyoto. It was a very quiet location and room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff very friendly. Very easy and efficient check in and checkout process.

Good

I was really close to Kyoto Station on foot. Added security of having to key in a code before entering the hotel. Comfortable room.

I arrived earlier than check in time to drop off my luggage, there was no one at reception and I had to drop my luggage off in the lobby using a lock provided by the hotel. Over all not really a problem but maybe avoid this hotel if you plan on dropping off your luggage earlier and arent confortable with leaving your bags in the open.

Reasonable option to stay in Kyoto

Cost performance is outstanding. For those who are looking for cheap option but want some privacy and cleaness, this is perfect. Clean, modern and close to JR station.

check-in time is 4pm... We arrived there around 3.30 pm and they didn't let us in. They don't officialy provide luggage storage. Room is very small, be careful if you are with those huge luggages..

It's a small, relatively quiet place that's good value for short visits.

It was good for a short stay. It's close enough to the station to be convenient, but not so close as to be noisy. It's in a bit more of a residential area. There's a convenience store and a bus stop nearby, too. The bathroom had a good layout and used space well. It didn't feel cramped like a lot of smaller hotel bathrooms can. The bath and shower were comfortable, even for a tall person like myself.

I was on the first floor, and my window looked out to a cement wall. Haha. It didn't matter much to me personally, given my short stay, but I guess it's something other guests might want to be aware of. I also found the keypad check-in to be a little troublesome because I couldn't load the email with my code. Luckily, there happened to be a staff member there who saw me outside the door, and he was very helpful.
