very clean, hot tub and decking area was a massive part of our stay and was lovely!
caravan had alot of dvds and games, if you are like me and had children to entertain that is a massive bonus.
I came alone with 3 kids and a dog before my partner arrived on the last night, was very nervous but felt at ease and safe instantly!
nice location, 20 minute walk to everything.
Host replied back quickly to any questions i had and was very helpful.
definitely would recommend and go back again.
read before hand about the planes and noise before going so expected them but was much louder then i thought. Can't be helped, but i have a 8 month old who was very unsettled by them so maybe not the place if you have babies under 1 as more sensitive ears.
we didn't get passes as i can't justify paying £130 (in holidays, £80 off peak) and still have to pay more for individual activities and was told everything books up quickly but that made the stay harder with children as even the park you have to have a pass for so beware of that before booking.
nothing wrong with the caravan itself, more the park in general.

Van was nice , modern and clean
When booking our dates we specifically booked for a retro weekend , and always pay extra for a hot tub .
On arrival after asking where the retro event was taking place , I was informed that it had been cancelled 3 weeks after event was planned and all van holders had emails and all people with bookings for these dates should have been informed of the event being cancelled . Clearly we weren’t , as we would have not attended . Hot tub —- lots of sand in it and filter filthy with what appeared to look like dead skin . On contact with owner , I found him to be rather abrupt and basically called me a liar . Left a day early as disappointing

Its a lovely place to stay
Didn't like the fact we had to pay to get into the bars n restaurants,we didn't want to go swimming or climbing, we had no children, just want to go 4 a night out, but would cost £40 each to just enter,we did go to free bar on site n they got our money

The communication with the owner was helpful and informative.
The caravan was spotlessly clean with lots of little extras that made us feel welcome, fresh crisp towels, hotel standard bedding, milk in the fridge for a drink on arrival, the hot tub prepared and heated for our arrivaI, I could carry on.
The location was in a nice area a short 5 minute walk front the main attractions.
I would definatly stay at Calypso again.

The caravan was spotless. And I’m a clean freak. Everything was so neat and tidy. And the caravan was made to feel lovely and cosy with all the home furnishings.
When we first arrived we were a little disappointed that there wasn’t central heating as the caravan was cold. But the fire and the wall heaters worked quickly and were very good. So we didn’t miss the central heating then.
There aren’t a lot of sockets either. But we managed fine.

This was my 3rd visit with my dog. Everwhere was clean & tidy. Will book again. Only downside was when I booked I immediately went on the site to book various activities but they were all fully booked. I had spa treatments which were excellent.
As i said above I would have liked to book more activities but alas they were all fully booked immediately.

Very clean, excellent location. Will definitely be booking again
Caravan facilities - no complaints. One thing that we would pick on would be the jets that continuously fly over the caravan. However we realise that this is not the fault of the owner so would still rate this caravan as 5 star.

We had a lovely stay, the caravan was immaculate and George was very helpful before hand answering any questions I had and explaining what to do and where the key was when we arrived. The hot tub was perfect in fact everything was. I would 100% recommend this caravan. Thank you for a lovely stay 😃

Caravan and hottub
Having to pay to use the bars for drink and food.when I am spending my money for these things didn't expect to pay 80 pound to use them.fair enough if you want to charge to use other facilities such as swimming pools and crazy golf but I was with my elderly parents that just wanted to relax with good drink and a meal.when talking to a member of staff I asked this question and he said you had to have the pass to get into bars for health and safety reasons as it's such a big place with lots of people we can't have them all in bars at the same time so to use the pass tells us how many capacity in at one time this is why they do it.you can still use the same system but not charge 80 pound think he thought he was talking to Joe blogs off the block which I'm not run bars and restaurants most of my working life.this country has gone mad it's expensive enough without charging for stupid things.the place itself is good but a little run down and bar areas not very clean but all in all enjoyed the break.also train your staff to understand dementia and to not treat an elderly person like he is .mental that was a little bit of an issue.

the hot tub was amazing lovely and relaxing the scenery was beautiful loved the walks. we went off site most days we didn't use the facilities as we didn't buy the passes other than that everything else was great
The beds were very uncomfortable the double bed was very lumpy the table wasnt very safe so we didn't use it we did get a few ants in the kitchen area not sure where they were coming from may under the kitchen units

Everything you need and exceptionally clean & smelt lovely on arrival!! Location was fab for viewing the planes and the hot tub was really lovely. George was very helpful & we had the bonus of meeting him just before we left. The park itself is so clean and well kept. There is something for everyone there, we didn't purchase the passes our self and didn't feel they were needed for our stay but the areas looked fab especially for kids
I don't think this is something that can be improved on as it is just how the caravan is designed but the shower is very cosy
