Villa Prota August Stay

I loved the large bedroom and large bathroom, both well equipped and even a few freebies thrown in there like the shower gel and small chocolates. Very large and comfortable bed too, changed daily as far as I could tell. I also loved the views from the terrace just outside and the ability to travel through Sorrento, Vico Equense, all the way up to Naples or onto Capri Island (and more), all very easily. I really appreciated the strong air conditioning system in the bedroom, it was invaluable after reaching the property on foot in the summer heat of the area, even at night!

Only very minor faults here, one of which was my fault. The location is up a fairly steep hill, about 20-25 minutes of steep inclines and steps from the train station but this has been mentioned many times in the reviews previously and those reviews (and I) strongly recommend having a vehicle to travel to and from the property. I knew about this before booking but made a mistake and was not able to rent a vehicle myself in the end. There are many scooter, motorbike and some car rentals in the main town of Vico Equense just after you get off the train at the station there so no lack of options. The only other fault I could think of was a lack of natural light into the room even with the window open, but this is such a non-issue (especially with the good lighting in the room) that I can't mark it down for this.

It was perfect for what we want.

beautiful view . it was quite new and very clean. location is up in the hill which was perfect to us as we had a car. they have a very beautiful and good restaurant 200 m near( very expensive thougth)

humidity smell when we entered was strong. i suggest you open the rooms a while before guest arrive. frigge didnt work but they put our beers and food in their fridge.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are quite fresh and nice looking. Parking little bit challenging for first time, but then OK. Breakfast quite basic. Only issue that our rooms window was next to street which is loud almost 24/7 as all scooters/cars go very fast as street is straight.

Exceptional

The villa is very nice and good located to see all the area of Amalfy, Capri, Napoli. We had a rented car and it was very easy having the parking at the villa. It has very nice and clean rooms. The cleaning was made daily. We had a realy great time here. Giovanni was very helpfull with all we needed. Thank you!

The streat is very noisy because of the trafic.

Great value and a nice room with private parking.

This place was recently renovated as it seems. Our room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The bathroom was also really nice (rain shower,..). The property offers private parking, which is a big plus when you're visiting this town by car. The breakfast was included, which was simple though (don't expect a continental breakfast), but enough for what we need. when we arrived we were also offered a drink! The owner also helped us with some questions we had regarding to visiting the Vesuvius. One thing to keep in mind: it's quite a walk up the hill when you want to visit the city.

Comfortable hillside family apartment.

Very new appartment, very clean, set in private grounds under the owner's house.. High up on the mountain side, with lovely sunset and views of the Mediterranean sea from the main bedroom. The owner brought some home made cake after we arrived, which was very kind. The owner advised a simple restaurant for dinner which was excellent value for money (superb home cooking), Da Filomeno. If you are in the area, just don't miss it!

The owner has not yet put the name or the street number on the gate of the property, which makes it very difficult to find. It took us 20 frustrating minutes of driving up and down the road and 3 phone calls to find it... It is located over a busy road, so we found that it was quite noisy. Maybe a kettle and some tea would be a welcoming touch.
