Reached the location, found the keys as stated by the property manager, went in and to our surprise the house was awesome. We were not expecting it to be that clean and tidy but infact it exceeded our expectations. Even though the heat pump wasnt working, the property manager had extra heaters for us. And it felt like home away from home.

We were just needing somewhere to sleep while we visited a family member. It was clean and had everything we needed. Heat pump was useful. I would have takwn some toys for my 4 year old but it said children toys there and I couldn't find any but wasn't a major! Suit led us for what we needed

We absolutely love this cute accommodation.
Very quirky and fun, it had everything we needed for our 2 night stay for Tom Jones.
We will definitely book again.
Love the location too.

Although cottage is very quirky, we felt it was a little unloved and lacked a bit of care
4.1
Clean, comfortable, a bit un-cared-for. Hostess pleasant and easy to deal with.

The place is very old, has some quirky ness to it that is cool, some that isn’t so much.
Definitely Presentation could be nicer ie: duvet covers were miss matched faded and had bird poo on one but there were nicer newer ones in the cupboard, the lounge suite could be upgraded or cleaned, more pillows and Cleaning or painting of walls as it is white. But they are all easy fixes and didn’t make a difference to us as we were just sleeping there.

The place was perfect for our stay in Napier. Less than 15 minutes away from the city centre and with everything we needed for our stay. Clean and well managed!

Quaint and comfortable cottage - ready for a makeover. Perfect position - lovely walks along Ahuriri waterfront or just over the hill to Napier city centre.
4.1
Great little cottage, good location, heat pump excellent for both cold and hot conditions.
Fridge a bit loud, can hear in bedroom.
Lack of phone coverage got annoying. Bring your own pillows.
But generally good value.

We had a lovely weekend here. Everything we needed for our family and good communication when I had a few questions before our stay.

Great space and perfect for that weekend away. It has everything you need and it's a lovely quite street

We loved this place, located in a gully on Bluff Hill. It's a good basic Kiwi bach, with all the fundamentals covered, and a lovely green outlook and lots of birdsong. A decent budget option in Napier.

As expected. Cute cottage with a few quirks. Shower was very small and unfortunately the fridge did not work. Aside from those few things it was fine.
4.1
Lovely, cosy cottage hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the busy marine parade.
4.1
Very quaint 'old lady'. Had everything we needed. Took a bit to get used to undulating floor. But overall a lovely place to stay, very close to CBD, and would stay again.
4.1
It was really well set up, the front balcony is cooler and good for internet access as no wifi in the home. We had a great time, thanks for having us. The air conditioner helped on a 32 degree day.

Ticked all the boxes as our base over Christmas. Nice and close to the CBD in a quiet neighbourhood on the hill.
4.1
Perfect for our needs, we had a car which made it very easy to get around and enjoy Napier from the very well-located bach

We stayed her for 3 nights while doing some cycling in the area. it is very quiet and private. It is an easy drive in to Rotorua. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Good size, tidy, would stay there again

Old school 100+ year old batch with character, comfortable, reasonably priced, and central location. A larger shower would have been nice as a couple of friends struggled to squeze in there.
4.1
Awesome location. Cute cottage with everything you need. Very clean and tidy - especially given its age!
Would definitely stay again. Great communication with owner.
Thanks for letting us stay.

A very cute cottage, equipped with all we needed. Excellent location.

Great cute cottage with heat pump and all the basics you need - plenty of kitchen stuff and enough amenities to put food together. Close to town. We were there for volunteering so didn't spend a lot of time so absolutely adequate for sure. Great shower. Place was clean and tidy.
Could do with some better pillows so if you like your own, definitely bring your own.
Be careful, easy to lock yourself out.
Place to park a trailer and the car.
Communication good but owners are in the country so there may be a delay but not too long.
Price reflects it's age and size so we found that great.
Would stay again. Thanks for having us!

The property is very basic and perfectly acceptable for a short stay. Loads of dinnerware and cutlery to use. The two 'issues' for us were no wifi, which they told us about after we booked. I admit that if we knew this prior to booking we would not have chosen the property as it did restrict our planning time. The second issue was that all the pillows were very thin and old. Where one pillow would normally be sufficient, you had to pile 3 pillows up. We also left something at the property and after a bit of back and forth communication we met to collect the item but havi g said that had it, they then couldn't find it and it was lost. A little bit annoying but it was not expensive and the host was flexible in meeting us.

Nice property in central location, walk to town..walk to beach and cafees. Older batch at good price suitable for 2 couples

Our stay was enjoyable. Definitely recommend for small families. Definitely keeping contact details for future stays in napier

This lovely old cottage was adequate for our short stay to attend a wedding. It would be best advertised as having 2 Queen beds plus a mattress and camp stretcher for children.
We had trouble with the curtain rail in bedroom 1 falling down and have tried to refit as best we can.Enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our holiday base in Napier. Thanks.

Excellently located and very reminiscent of a true New Zealand bach . Well stocked and adequate for a short stay. Better pillows might be in order though.
4.1
This is a real bach, typical by not being smart, and a little scruffy. So be prepared for this.
But the bed was comfortable and bach was clean.
A frustration was that there were no instructions for any of the appliances. So the owner arranged for the neighbour to come in to get the TV working! ( It needs to be set on,- "video".) The microwave and cook top ,we just had to eventually work out. I have suggested instructions should be left.
The hot water is literally scalding hot, beware.
So expect a kiwi bach and enjoy being in walking distance from the beach.

Well priced and neat. Just what is needed when staying in Napier

The photo online of property is so misleading as the online photo shows leather chair with foot rest was not there, no venetian blind in lounge only curtains the curtains in front bedroom had holes, not clean at all especially the stove top and oven would never recommend this property to anyone i could go on but there is no point as the property was very disappointing even for cleaneness??
4.1
Overall, felt disappointed with this property. Although cheap, and the owner makes it clear it's a budget accommodation, I wouldn't stay again.
The bedding is terrible, beds uncomfortable, and generally the place feels unclean. Kitchen equipped ok. Furniture dated, unclean and unfit for sitting at the dining table. Wouldn't take much investment to make it a great place, as the location is spot on and owner very friendly with excellent communication.
