Great location and excellent facilities
Food quality could be better - nice choice/variety but some options lacking in quality.

Beach and pool were great
Possibly a bit too quiet although we appreciate it is more of a Spanish resort so early season for them.

lovely hotel in quiet location
Problem on arrival with some cement having fallen from roof on balcony which was clearly unsafe. Staff very apologetic and went out if there way to find an alternative we were happy with. They also sent so a tray of cake later with apology note which was a nice touch

Rooms were amazing, views were fantastic!! The beach was only a short walk away. The dinner and breakfast buffet was really nice with lots of selection. Pool and bar were lots of fun and very refreshing.
No one’s fault but our own , but we had a little trouble communicating the chamber staff. But everything was amazing. I would and have strongly suggested this resort to others whether traveling as a couple or a group.

Room clean and comfortable. Pretty gardens and nice pool area. Accessibility to the beach and bars.
There was no light on the balcony for the evenings. Couldn't adjust the air conditioning as we were told "it was because of new EU rules" but looking into it, it states "this DOES NOT apply to guest rooms"!! There was no opportunity in the restaurant to get a tea or coffee after the evening meal; if you wanted this you had to get it from the bar and pay! The food was never piping hot and sometimes almost cold, a cheesecake I had was still slightly frozen! Noise from the entertainment venue echoed all round the place every night!

It was a very nice resort a stone throw away from the beach and they have a very nice breakfast.
The dinner service was shocking the food had no flavor and very bland, however the breakfast was very good a complete opposite to the dinner service.
Parking should be complementary for people who book half board or a better room.

A Fab huge comfortable bed, nice room ( junior suite), great pool ( bit cold but I don't mind that) lots of choice of nice food at breakfast, nice grounds, almost on the lovely beach, room serviced every day.Friendly staff.
The style of the entertainment/animations didn't seem to fit the demographic. Having a very young animation team shouting and playing awful music round the pool and organising games more suited to a Butlins holiday camp wasnt quite what we expected.Thankfully the music was only for short bursts but we were told that earlier in the summer it was almost all day.. While we were there there was only one good piece of entertainment, a flamenco group. We thought something a little more sophisticated e.g a piano bar would have been more appropriate and would provide a more relaxing ambience.

Breakfast was the highlight, lots of choice and all very fresh produce
The room, for a Deluxe was very disappointing. Very small and considering the price quite simply I couldn’t recommend it and would not return. I do t know how big a standard room was but I can’t imagine a smaller room than the Deluxe, both in terms of bathroom area and main bedroom, which actually merged into one room.

Everything was exceptional -This is the second year in a row we are choosing Barcelo Isla Canela as our family holiday destination and it never disappoints.
The rooms were bright and spotless clean
Staff were so friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond - They really make the difference and this applies to every single hotel department.
With regards to the food, it was delicious and tasty with products of the region and always offering a wide range options.
Hotel facilities were great and the fact that the hotel is literally one step away from the beach is a big bonus.
All in all, very highly recommended!

stunning Property, gardens & pool. although bedroom on the small size was adequate, clean and lovely comfortable beds. staff where lovely especially in the snack bar where they were extremely busy.
The dining area was not what I expected, too small for the amount off people, felt claustrophobic, maybe more outside seating? food was ok, nothing special and AI did not mean all was inclusive! no mini bar in room, not tea/coffee making facilities in room. had to put a €10 deposit on each beach towel. you wouldn’t expect the above on a 4+ * accommodation. AI was disappointing, .

The pool, the beach access was really nice. The staff in the dinning area were very nice and accommodating. The food was decent in the dinning area. The pool area was big and the pool was well maintained. The beach was super close and easy to get to. There is a small store in the hotel where you can buy sun screen, pampers, hats and other things.
The facilities in general were a little dated. The all inclusive is lacking. You pay quite a bit extra for all inclusive but you eat only during designated times. Breakfast is from 8:00-11:00. Lunch is from 13:30-15:30. Dinner from 19:30-22:30. The all inclusive for food is only for the dinning hall at these specific hours and you cannot take food out of the dinning hall. For example, wanting to bring fruit or bread and coffee back to your room after breakfast. You also cannot take drinks into the pool area. Also, if you want to eat between 15:30-19:30 you could eat at the snack bar but you paid extra for 90% of the items on the menu. The all inclusive here only gave you a discount. The prices aren't bad but I paid for all inclusive for a reason. If you are looking for a resort and an all inclusive feel this is definitely not the place.

Staff.. All helpful but working under pressure.. Constantly.. Entertainment staff worked tirelessly to make a good evening.
Too busy at meal times.actually chaos in the dining room.. Staff unable to bring out food quick enough or serve the high numbers with plates, food or cups. Room was OK but set up like a caravan. Integral sink and sliding doors to toilet and shower which were small. Location OK but near nothing useful.. 15 euro a day parking and 3 euro a day for the room safe.. Not as good as other Barcello properties due to numbers staying there and system not coping despite best efforts of staff
