Great location, terrible view.

The location to Porto Rotondo was great. the pool was lovely. The layout of the apartment was nice.

The view! The details of the apartment we booked described and pictured an ‘inner courtyard’ with garden view. HOWEVER, the main terrace directly overlooked an active building site. NOT what we had expected and it really detracted from our stay. The smaller balcony did overlook a courtyard. but it had the air conditioning units and bins on the balcony, so was unusable as a sitting area. the external spaces really let the apartment down and meant that we couldn’t enjoy meals at the apartment. We were woken in the early hours of the night by loud music and shouting from the neighbouring apartment. It carried on until 4am. The accommodation rep at the apartment did apologise and the neighbouring guests were removed. The electricity is limited. If you have too many appliances running at once it trips out. The swimming pool opening times of 10-1 and 3-7pm were ok. but was a shame it didn’t open earlier in the morning - particularly for people who want to use it in cooler hours. It would have been nice to have some basic provisions in the apartment e.g. washing up liquid, tea towel etc

The balcony of the room seems a chill out. It is cool.

In Villaggio Smeralda can improve the maintenance of some areas in the exterior. We had to buy the products to clean the cooking because this is a requirement instead you pay for final cleaning, but in the apartment there are products to use it, and we buy the pads for the dishwasher.
