23 family members of three generations stayed in the house. We loved having 2 kitchens and 3 refrigerators. There was plenty of room for all to sit and have meals. Being on the beach was fantastic--if only it was not so far down to the beach. Coming back up was a chore, but the water was clear and blue, the beach was clean and the sunsets were outstanding. We are thinking of returning.

Beautiful Lake House
Right on Lake Michigan with spectacular views from the decks. There are some stairs to get to the beach, however, the owners have left many beach chairs beach side and that was very helpful.. So were the many beach towels.. The kitchens were will equipped for a group (we had 22) and the rooms spacious. The house had lots of games and toys. The community has wonderful tennis and pickleball courts.

Terrific house for large group
Perfect house for three generations.
Only drawback was that is right next door to a beach club. We only had two days of good weather during our stay and had rented a Maui mat fir the kids to use.
We were driven out of the water both times by people from beach club bringing water craft and paddle boards within feet of our kids.
The property manager was quick to respond and the HOA President even stopped by to check.
Not sure if it helped as within an hour of sun being out the next day the people were back out on the beach with paddle boards and running into us.
Hopefully it will improve as it is such a wonderful house with plenty of room to spread out.

Family Vacation!
For two years we had been planning this vacation, bringing together all our children and 9 grandchildren. The house itself is beautiful! So much room! We all felt close but also plenty of space to escape for some quiet and privacy. The views from any window are spectacular. The overall accommodations were superior. Everything FAR exceeded our hopes and expectations and we will definitely be coming back again ... already planned for 2022!!

fabulous family reunion!
This property was exactly what we needed for a three generation family of 30. A few stayed in another house nearby, but all the activities and meals were held here. The kitchens had everything we needed. The bathrooms were modern and the bedrooms decorated so lovely. The living areas were wonderful for large and small groupings; The extras in the house are without peer: folding tables, games, beach towels, kitchen appliances, etc. Even the bedding was better than expected. The responsiveness of the BLUEFISH VACATIONS team was beyond par. The beach and weather even cooperated. Do be careful and watch your children - there are hazards, like any beach area. BUt all in all a wonderful time and great responsiveness even when we left some things behind! Jason mailed out the next day> Thank you.

Labor Day weekend
Beautiful setting, comfortable bedding, very roomy for our group. After finding dog poop in several areas on the carpeting, we felt that the cleaning of the house was not what we expected. It made us uncomfortable with small children going barefoot inside It was very easy to see the areas on the carpeting, (main floor only). Why didn't the cleaning staff not see something so obvious? We felt that the carpeting was old and dirty because of that. There was also a small, full trash bag that had been left in a hall table. I would suggest that there would be more trash bags and dishwasher soap for the size house and number of people using it.

Wonderful Family Getaway
We spent our 22nd family gathering at this wonderful location. The house was great for our purposes. There are large gathering places as well as places to get away from the crowds. The area is heavily wooded which helped keep it cool. The views from the decks are amazing. The beach is a little narrow due to the lake levels being high but still room to sit on it and play in the sand. A/C was great on warm days and plenty of windows to let in fresh air when it cooled down. Dual kitchen facilities are well stocked for large groups. The house is part of Shorewood Hills community so some additional rules to be aware of but they are reasonable and presented no problem for our large group. I would highly recommend this location.

Beautiful Sunsets
We had a great week at the beach. We were 22 people (15 adults and 7 children) and it was just right. Unfortunately, the level of the water on Lake Michigan is very high this year so there was only a little beach. But we made do with the smallish neighborhood beach just down the road. Just right for kids. Also, loved being able to walk to Warren Dunes State Park. But our favorite thing was seeing 7 different sunsets on 7 different days. Our only disappointment was the lack of good restaurants in the area (at least in our opinion) but that was not the fault of the beautiful home. We would come again.

Great house. Perfect for a large group. The deck was great for enjoy the view of the lake.
House has tons of space and lots of beds. Kitchens are a little tight but there are two and they open into the dining are so they work fine.

We all concluded that this house was originally built as a duplex, with mirror-image side-by-side units. There are two stairwells to the second floor, two kitchens across the back of the house, two living rooms, etc. Someone did a nice job of opening these units into one large home. A living room closet is packed with games and toys.
The kitchens are very generously stocked with a huge selection of pots and pans, high-end small appliances, plenty of dishes and flatware. One lower cupboard has paper plates and napkins, and there are lots of cloth towels. There are plenty of cleaning supplies under the sinks, including dishwasher soap packets. The south dining room has enough wine glasses for well, a party. The pantries, though, are bare. (It's really not the responsibility of the owner to feed their guests, after all.) Someone had left behind a few boxes of tea bags, and there is a drawer with some partial bottles of spices. If you plan to prepare all of your meals, you'll need to bring everything. I'm glad we brought our salt and pepper grinders.
Bedrooms -- upstairs there are two large bedrooms facing the water, each with a door to the shared balcony. One of them has an ensuite bathroom. Three other smaller bedrooms are on each side of the house, with two full bathrooms for everyone to share. The other two bathrooms are in the basement, as are three of the bedrooms. But you don't have the sense that you are in a basement; it's all nicely designed. Everyone commented on how comfortable the mattresses are. Linens are very nice. Each bathroom had one little bar of soap and one extra roll of toilet paper: you'll need to bring all your own stuff. We did find hairdryers in the bathrooms, and plenty of beach towels in the basement laundry room.
Halfway down the path to the beach are stacks of beach chairs, a large container of beach toys, and two umbrellas. People really do seem to honor the Private Beach concept, so you'll have plenty of room on the sugar-like sandy beach. There is a community beach for the non-waterfront Shorewood Hills residents immediately south of this property. Although crowded, it was rather quiet; Saturday night, though, it seemed as though there was a church service going on -- complete with microphones. It was over by 10:30, but did disturb the serenity one hopes for when looking at the stars. (This minor irritation is our only complaint.)

This house is large, comfortable and a mixture of luxury, casual and quirky. The beach is stunning and you cannot tell from photos that there is a long strip to walk up and down. The beds are extremely comfortable and there are great views from most rooms. Rooms without a view of the lake have tree view - feels like a tree house! It was obviously a duplex so there are two living rooms and two kitchens. It was nice to have a quiet space to read while others in our family could have a more boisterous room at the same time. Downside - kitchens are narrow and the main walkway from side to side but it wasn't a distractor from giving this place a great rating. There is an amazing chef stove on one side and a very nice grill for the house. Overall, it was a well-equipped kitchen though we always travel with our foody tools. Plenty of nice towels and beach towels, tons of chairs for the beach near water so no carrying down those steep steps and sand toys as well. I think the best thing about the house was the comfort and feeling like home. Not too luxurious but cozy with soft carpet and comfy beds. While I don't love carpet in my home, I love in this beach house as it was cozy and helped to keep the house very quiet from floor to floor. There is also a very large washer dryer room. I highly recommend this house for families. If we ever head back to Michigan, I'd return in a heartbeat. Also, really close to Chicago for day trips (90 minutes) and there is even a train 15 minutes away to city/airport and Costco in a nearby city for shopping. Also, local tennis/pickleball court within walking distance in shade with kids park next to - we went daily. Jason the realtor/agency rep was very responsive before and during trip.

Fantastic weekend - wonderful get away with the whole family!
This house is incredible! Plenty of room for all of us and tastefully appointed - and THE VIEW! Breathtaking. The home is a staircase away from the beach and the deck was wonderful for our more senior family members, plenty of sunshine and space for the whole family! With 2 kitchens and outdoor grills, we were able to prep, cook and feed our army with no issue whatsoever! Our sleeping rooms were divine, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Much better than my own at home. There were games for our kids, a book shelf with a wide range of titles and a brand new big screen TV for a movie night. They provided beach towels, cooking supplies, had a huge selection of pots and pans, and a wonderful welcome on the counter when we walked in. I highly recommend this rental, it was worth every penny!

We held a family reunion for 20 people (aged 90 to 23) at the Lakehouse. The house is thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with visitor comfort in mind. Everything we could think of needing was provided, including enough refrigerator storage for 3-days worth of meals and snacks for 20 hungry people. There is plenty of room for being together, and many nice options for getting away from each other. All the rooms are equally nice. The beach is spectacular. The weather in September is perfect! Jason the property manager was, without exception, helpful and responsive. We could not have chosen a better venue for our party. Would return in a heartbeat.
