* Telluride (population: 2,220) is different. Don't look for a Wal-Mart, a gas station, a neon sign, a lift-line or even a single traffic light - there are none! Nestled in a 'box canyon' and surrounded by the steep-forested San Juan Mountains, the topography of this historic mining town makes growth in any direction impossible! The entire town is designated as a historical district and maintains a small 'mining-town' charm, with strictly-governed Victorian architecture. Explore the abandoned mining camps and frontier ghost towns which dot the hillsides.
* Mountain Village (population: 978) is Telluride's sister town located on the mountain, in the heart of the ski area. A European-style alpine community nestled high above Telluride at 9,500+ elevation. The towns are connected by a free gondola system operating over the mountain tops. There is a fee bus service and a door to door SUV service (pay to ride).

We decided to get our adult children together for a summer retreat and couldn’t have picked a better location. Eagles nest is an amazing property with exceptional views and amenities. I would highly recommend. Peter was easy to work and communicate with.

It was the perfect place for our family. A group of 8 adults, we all had our own space. The common areas were perfect for eating, relaxing, and gaming/socializing after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was a big plus, and the proximity to slopes and the core were great.

The property as listed coupled with the 5-Star review is accurate. The host (Peter) is a very good communicator and very responsive. Upon are arrival we learned about Telluride Mountain Village Dial-a-Ride and outside normal operating hours you need a specific code to book on the App (works like Uber) and they provide door-to-door service to the main Gondala area in Mountain Village free of charge for our group of 10. It allowed us to move around without a personal auto. The other guests we very impressed with the ammenties of this house. We are ski home owners in Summit COunty and take an annual ski trip to other resorts anually, however after this Telluride experience we may return next year. You will not be disappointed with his property for family and/or friends. Well done Peter!

This home was exactly as advertised. Beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed home with large rooms, plenty of storage, new comfortable beds and really no surprises. Only four adults and two children but this could have accommodated many more. Kitchen was great (the chef loved it) and had everything you would expect (but no Kuerig) but had a coffee maker and plenty of filters. Host was very responsive and easy to work with. Parking is best for smaller vehicles but very manageable if you can back up. We had no problems. Heated garage was perfect for storing ski equipment and putting wet gear on/off. Would definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagles Nest. It was clean with a very comfortable feeling to the home. Peter was highly communicative, which made everything about the rental very smooth. I would definitely recommend this property.

Our family of 7 visits Telluride/Mountain Village annually for vacation, exploring different locations each time. This year, we splurged beyond our usual budget for a stunning property. Unfortunately, we were immediately dismayed by the house's condition. Three of the four beds were covered in black dog hair, deeply embedded in linens, sheets, blankets, and pillowcases. The dog hair extended throughout, especially in the kitchen. Even dishware in the beautiful island were coated in dog hair. Kitchen and living room windows, with great mountain views, were dirty with handprints and dog nose smudges.
I contacted the host to find fresh linens and Peter quickly responded, sending someone to replace them. Upon checkout, Peter refunded 50% of the cleaning fee due to the beds' condition. Several other disappointments marred our stay. The hot tub lacked head cushions, exposing screws to your head. There were no hot tub towels, forcing us to use bath towels, which were in limited supply, about 1 per person. Dirty pots and pans filled cabinets. The grill was filthy. The master and loft room lacked hand soap. The loft room's shower was clogged with dog hair, and the water was barely warm. Shampoo bottles were covered in black hair.
Despite the spectacular views, we left dissatisfied. Peter's prompt communication and partial refund were appreciated, but given the price we paid, we expected more.

amazing views, great spread-out layout that allowed my husband and I to work remotely with plenty of space- would be great for groups that want some space / privacy as the bedrooms are all well spaced apart

Excellent house for our Family July 4th Holiday gathering! The house was awesome with beautiful views, great location, and stocked with everything we needed for cooking. The shuttle service to Moutain Village was literally right out front of the house. From there you could ride the gondola into downtown Telluride (Gorgeous ride). We had great hikes all week with Lizard Head being one of the highlights. Also, the hike from downtown Telluride to the waterfall was just awesome! Our two-year-old granddaughter loved the gondola. The town of Telluride was lots of fun with great restaurants as well as Mountain Village. The owner was very responsive to the few communications we had. Highly recommend this home!

We had an amazing time at the Eagles Nest! The home is incredibly well stocked and the location was great. Not in the middle of the action but close enough to access everything easily. We enjoyed the beautiful views by the fireplace and the hot tub. Would return!

This has been our third year in a row renting this property and it's only confirmed our love for the place. The house is spacious and suitable for groups of all sizes. This is a beautiful home with an ideal layout. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, the main room with an awesome gas fireplace is a great place to warm up after a full day of skiing. The hot tub is also ideal after hitting the slopes. Great house and communication.

As an STR host myself, I understand the attention to detail that goes into creating a great guests experience. This home and host was nothing short of an amazing experience. Minutes from the slopes, 180 degree views with a perfect line of site of Mt Emma. Home was very well equipped with a great combination of luxurious finishes and cozy touches that you would expect from your Telluride winter ski vacation. 6/5 stars. Will be back!

Loved the house and Telluride experience. We had extended family for 21 days. The house was amazingly stocked and the property mgr helped us quickly (very little ever needed). House was super comfortable and the bedrooms allowed very easy remote work as a lot of us mixed work and pleasure during the stay. Great pick- absolutely nothing was short of expectations.

We loved staying at the Yates house. It had everything you needed. Kitchen was well equipped. We loved the hot tub and the steam showers. The ride service was great as well. So convenient and we didn’t have to worry about driving in the snow. We will definitely come again.

Our stay was amazing - the property exceeded our expectations in every way. Gorgeous details and pride of ownership, luxurious bedding, stunning views, and everything we could possibly need for our stay. Communication was great and check in was seamless. Quite possibly the nicest vacation rental we’ve ever booked - we will definitely be back!

Eagles Nest was just what we were looking for - spacious, very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Located in the Mountain Village residential area near the ski resort (but not in it), the home has lovely views (including a herd of elk one evening), the best equipped rental kitchen I've ever seen, good beds and bedding, a hot tub, and lots of extras (like puzzles, games, a gaming table, cookbooks, etc.) to make you feel at home. And the host family was very responsive. If you are looking for a good family retreat near Telluride, this place deserves serious consideration.

Great property in nice location in Mountain Village. Views are amazing. Five stars all around. No deficiencies of any kind.

We were in town for my son’s wedding. Four adult couples stayed in the house and it’s layout was perfect providing privacy for each couple and the living and kitchen areas were spacious enough for all. We loved spending the mornings and evenings on the deck admiring the beautiful mountain view. Great house.

Our family of four so enjoyed our stay at this awesome Telluride/Mountain Village home! It had everything we needed to make us feel comfortable and at home. The views from every direction were beautiful, and it was so peaceful and quiet. We were within ten minutes of Telluride and the Mountain Village center. Perfect summer getaway!

This house was perfect for our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with ALL needs for cooking. The house was very clean and spacious. There are a lot of steps in the house but the laundry shoot and of course, the views are amazing! We sat on the patio for morning coffee and enjoyed the hot tub most nights. Easy access to the gondola that takes you mountain village and telluride. Hosts were extremely responsive. Wonderful stay for us! Thank you!

The home was beautiful, comfortable, in a safe neighborhood and everyone enjoyed their stay. We were able to take walks in the neighborhood , drive into town or simply hang out at the house. I would highly recommend this rental even in shoulder season but especially in the winter and summer months.

My wife and I have stayed in many vacation rentals, but by far this was an example of how to do it right. The owners have taken the care to have the property well appointed with everything you could imagine from the well stocked kitchen to having high quality toiletries. The home was well maintained and felt like a home versus a vacation rental property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a luxurious experience in Telluride.

Perfect home with a great location to go anywhere within 20 minutes. The home was very clean and met our expectations. Unfortunately the hot tub had been shut down but the owner informed us of this prior to arrival. Otherwise, I would stay there again.
