We stayed in the Villa Cerniglia Plus which is the apartment connected to and run by The Sunset Spa Hotel Room was a disgrace, hair in the bidet, plug grate broken in shower, safe not affixed to any structure with no instructions, , sliding door to balcony unable to be locked and we shared an area with next door’s apartment. Window couldn’t be opened without getting a hernia and the sliding shutters didn’t slide so slept with the sun coming in. To top it off the pool is 15 euro a day, eggs with breakfast another 5 euro and no toast. If you want to go to their private beach, it’s another 40 euro and just to get a beach towel for your deck - 4 euro each and the breakfast didn’t include eggs ffs - another 5-euro per person This isn’t on the Bookings site Cefalu is a lovely this resort is not. PS - staff other than in the kitchen area unresponsive and abrupt.

perfect location on right on the beach - very nice sandy beach in front of the location. breakfast very good with a lot of options served in the hotel linked with the villa.

Superb

The location is one of the best when you prefer a hotel out of the croud. After this spot towards the center starts the crazyness with the beach bars. The hotel has arranged a calm part on the beach to swim and relax. Very friendly staff. Great sea view from our superior double room. Villa Cerniglia is an extension of the 4* Sunset right next to it so you get a taste of it's luxury. Cefalu is a must if you want to get a full taste of Sicily. We pointed at 3 spots and we are glad our choices met our expectations. ( Ortigia - Cefalu - Taormina )

You have to try to find something negative. Ok, mine was no liquid shower gel, they had soap. See, I found something 😁😁😁

Breakfast was good, room was fine, although we booked 2 rooms and arrived and was told only one was available. The staff did try to make up for this by providing beach and pool passes, however we are 2 adults with 2 older teenagers so one room was not ideal.

Incredible location, view and room. 100% recommended!

Amazing view and location. Very clean and comfortable room. The staff allowed us to check in early, which was much appreciated after our overnight train from Naples, and check out a little late after climbing La Rocca the following morning (an absolute must). 100% recommended!

Amazing stay at an amazing city.

Excellent location, great amenities, really good breakfast, friendly staff, extremely clean. I would definitely come back and recommend it.

Wonderful location and chose the upgraded balcony +view (the Blue Mediterranean seen from the bed or balcony). Rosa and all staff were helpful, warm & friendly. Comfy beds, great breakfast. Although a road runs between the hotel & the walkway and beach, it's fine, isn't used much and so quiet at night. Another great 360 view of the town and 'the rock' from the rooftop infinity pool next-door in the attached main hotel Sunset. I would definitely return.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff and gorgeous pool

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very happy to receive an upgrade with a bonus private pool/spa. Very comfortable rooms, lovely although slightly limited breakfast. Location was good, a fair walk to the old centre but not bad.

It is clearly not quite finished and requires some further work to be completed, despite this, the staff are very accomodating and it was obvious they are trying to help. Limited shade in the outdoor area where breakfast is served is an issue but I feel this is being looked at. Pool area needs more shade, but it is lovely.

Thé service was great. Salvatore was very nice and was always available to help out. we really enjoyed our stay! the breakfast was great!

thé location right across from the beach allowed us to make the best of our stay. also it was on the main strip with amazing bars and restaurants by the sea.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Wouldn’t recommend.

The mattresses were terrible - you could feel the springs through the sheets. Air conditioner worked off and on - it wasn’t consistent. There were no self laundry facilities as stated on their description. Parking facilities were small, hard to manoeuvre.

Summer is here

We really loved the place. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was amazing, you are just crossing the street and arrive to the beach. The breakfast was served in the next door hotel (Sunset hotel), it was good, but lucking some diversity. Cefalu is really amazing and it's a 10 minutes walk to the old town, definitely recommend this place.

The sounds proofing was really bad, you can hear what was happening in the rooms near you or in the corridor. The wi-fi wasn't working well, I end up using my mobile data for most of the time.

Entrance to underground car park needs to be modified because I scraped the underneath of my car. This could be a big problem for sports cars.

Fantastic budget place right at the beach

Great location right next to the beach. breakfast was at the hotel next door and really good considering the price of this place. the room itself was simple but had all needed equipment. parking garage is also convenient

only slide negative point is that online it said there would be a double bed + a twin bed in the room, but it turned out to be only a double bed.

They upgraded our room for free, next to the accommodation in a hotel. The room is very nice with new furniture and great views of the sea and the city. The hotel is beautiful
