The property was comfortable and well equipped and in a great location
It was quite noisy at times due to traffic and passers by.

Location was great, no breakfast provided.
The apartment was 'tired', bedding & towels were clean but I think they were in need of replacing. Apartment wasn't very clean.

House was very spacious- yes it was old but thats what i liked about it. Loved the doors in the house and the old staircase leading to terrace. View from here was beautiful. Kitchen had everything we needed as we were out most of the day and it was nice to come back and make whatever we wanted. The Spar shop within walking distance had a very good variety of food. Yes it can be noisy at night but then again it is to be expected as the house was on a busy street leading from harbour and within walking distance to the main shopping area in Valletta. Bathrooms were modern and the paintings on the walls of the house were lovely especially the one in the living room.
I did message the owner about rubbish collection and the reply came back very quickly so no problems there. Access to house was easy with the key lock ouside the door as we arrived in the early hours of the morning and followed the instructions owner had given us. All in all we were very pleased with our accomodation.
I can honestly say there was nothing i didnt like about our accomodation. We knew when we booked it was an old Maltese house and that is what we got.

Posizione eccellente. Ampia superficie, Due bagni con doccia. Lavatrice e asciugatrice.

This accommodation gives you a unique opportunity to experience a traditional Maltese house. It's impressive but also comes at a prize... We enjoyed the rather central location, clean and comfortable beds, it was convenient to have two bathrooms. The kitchen is with basic equipment. Terrace offers a beautiful view. I would recommend a short stay in the city.
Prepare for stairs within the living area and lots of stairs to get to the terrace. Unfortunately, terrace is not that well maintained- small corner/room before it is full of broken furniture, there is old furniture on the terrace, and no attempt to provide any shade. Quite a pity.
Another issue is that traditional windows/doors don't insulate from street noise, so that's maybe a little bit too much of local experience than you wished for, especially in the bedroom downstairs. I understand that's perhaps something that the owner can't fix, but it needs to be taken into account if you choose for this place.

Location
Cleanness. The house was dusty.
Has no sound insulation. We could hear everything happening in the street like it was in the house. Probably because it has no proper windows or doors( very old). When it was windy all the doors and windows were shakinf

The location was perfect, being central in Valletta and a 10 to 15 minute brisk walk to the bus station. We were able to get cheap bus fares anywhere to the island including getting to Gozo. The facilities were great as a base for a family of 5. The roof top was also a lovely experience for the kids and great fun as we watched fireworks over the basilica. Although to access the rooftop you have to climb approx 65 steps around a winding staircase. It was fun and felt like we were staying in an ancient mini castle! Having a small corner shop literally a stones throw away was a bonus in the morning when running out of essentials. The ferry to sliema was also just a few minutes walk down to the harbour. Location wise it suited us well.
The only problem was the shower, it was regularly blocked which resulted in small flooding of the bathroom whenever it was used. Although a lovely spacious shower and ensuite off the main bedroom. There was another shower which could be used which worked very well for our teenager daughter. Although the shower was a downfall, the property was quaint. If youre wanting a home away from home and a feal for typical maltese properties then this is perfect.

Location
Very bad experience. The place is extremely cold in winter. The photos do not match reality. It is very old and feels dirty. A deceiving selling point is the roof terrace, there are over sixty steps getting up by an extremely narrow spiral staircase. Brown duvet covers that look suspiciously unclean. No extra blankets. No bedside tables in main bedroom o in front of the sofa in the sitting room. The windows are badly insulated, there is no heating in the bathroom. The air conditioning in the bedrooms do not manage to heat them up properly as the ceilings are so high. We were so very cold and uncomfortable!

Location.
Cold, dirt, damp, smell... I always had the feeling that I live on the street. Audibility is such that you can hear how a person passing by breathes. The outside is warmer and cleaner than the inside. It was a nightmare. This is for those who like to live in caves, but with electricity 😉

Good place, clean room, all was fine.

there was hot water and the aircon in the bedroom worked well.
on entry ground floor smelt strongly of damp. Plaster work was crumbling. Bedding wasn’t clean and towels were damp. When changing the sheets we saw that there was no mattress protector on the bed. the mattress was pretty stained. Whole property was renovated to a very low quality. The terrace is at the top of a very narrow winding staircase with no hand rail. Furniture on terrace was not in a great condition. We also had to buy our own toilet roll which for a short trip was unexpected. TV doesn’t have the correct adapter plug to use it.

The location is perfect.
The towels and the linens need to be changed.

This is a fabulous place with plenty of room. The terrace is fantastic and while I know some people complained about the stairs up (and there is a lot), to me this added to the charm and feeling like I was somewhere old. The a/c is great in the bedrooms and check in was easy. I appreciate we could drop off our bags before check in.
It is hot in July in the living room which has no a/c. Someone came by once we had checked in to use the laundry facilities. We didn't expect it, didnt know if we should be letting them in and it was awkward - especially when he just walked into the room where one kid was getting changed and another where my kid was on the toilet :(

little bit hard to find but the host was easy to get hold of

Nice old local house. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Good location close to the centre and on the west side of town where you can park your car along Marsamxett street. The roof terrace is nice but 63 steps away via a narrow spiral staircase.
With stronger winds the wooden windows and doors make quite some noise.

I really like the location, it was easy access from different corners of the city, Easy to come from the airport as well, just 10 minutes walk from the bus stop. A lot of Maltese character, it gives you the feeling of the life in a traditional house. Beautiful terrace on top of the building, it was worth to pay the price of climbing a lot of stairs.

Location, very easy access to the center of Valletta.
The view from rooftop is awesome eventhough you have to climb 60-ish narrow steps. Worth the climb.
Kitchen is good to cook full meal.
Somehow I didn't get the code before my arrival and I had to phone to ask it.
Shower in upper bedroom was a bit clogged the first day, but it is repaired the next day.

If you are looking for a great location in the old town close to the sea with a real Maltese feeling it is a great choice. Shop 1min away, the beach and the ferry about 5 mins away. Beautiful view and big space. The owner was really helpful as well as the local people. We loved it!
The only issue which I can mention that we found a cockroach but you can find them on the street as well and the TV did not work but if you are there you don't really need a TV so we did not miss it.

This was a characterful charming town house in the centre of Valletta. It was clean and had all the basics.
A stone’s throw from lovely bars and restaurants. Overall this was a very interesting place to stay with true Maltese style. We would stay again!
It is worth mentioning that there are a lot of stairs!! This didn’t affect us but anyone with young children or people with reduced mobility may struggle.
They were very steep up to the sun terrace!!

Very helpful meet and greet as Google maps sent us a couple of streets further on. ( don't normally have a problem with maps ).
More spacious than the photographs suggest. Vety comfy beds and good kitchen facities. Near enough to the centre of town for access but nice to be away from the main streers once the evening is over. Nice cafe pastry shop selling essentials a few yards away. Plus a hardware store if you need light bulbs !!( the only minor criticism ).
The only thing which slightly marred things was I forgot my insect repellent.....very few midges / mosquitos but those that visited bit! As advised a couple of lamps didn't work. These were minor points, we thought the apartment was fab, cool with large open shutters and windows, a fan, and air con.
