Very cosy hostel with a big common room area which is easy to relax in. Standard capsule hotel experience with shared facilities.

Location - near to JR train station. Surround with convenience store, restaurant and short walk to supermarket. Free use on kitchen, fridge, cooking stove, coffee and tea. Quiet and safe. Free wifi.
Bring ur towel. But there is rental towel at the reception that not many people is aware. The manager is available at the premises in limited time but there is free phone to contact him and he will be there in couple of minutes.

The guy that checked us in was really nice, always making sure we had everything we need. The hostel was clean, rooms spacious, enough bathrooms and showers for everyone. There was an equipped kitchen and free coffee and tea. You can leave your bags before check in and after check out.

Took them quite a while to reply my messages

The common area had a lot of cool features and a lot of guides/maps of the area and nearby cities/towns. The kitchen seemed decently equipped.
there were bathrooms in every floor although there was no soap or proper sink to wash your hands with soap or brush your teeth in the third floor bathrooms (they had the mounted sink in the toilets not ideal for brushing your teeth lol) although not a big deal, just gotta go one floor down and you are good.
While it was a bit cold for the rooftop it looked pretty nice and had a nice space.
The location was near many restaurants and just a 5min walk of Kobe station.

The place is pricey for the facility provided
Too costly for 2.3k. The place is not up to the level.

The owner was super friendly and kind. The rooftop was cool to hang out and the bar was cool, too.
I was a little to big for all the facilities.
I couldn't really sleep, because all the time people came and people go.
But that's not really the fault of the hostel^^

The wall art amazing! Kitchen free to use and lots of info of the town. Owner was really friendly and we had a good conversation.
There are stairs to get to everything you need and a little narrow to climb and walk in the corridor.

great location. soft bed.
there was somebody in the bed that was assigned to me. it was a mix up in bed allocation. this made me assume security within house wasn’t the very best.

The staff was superfriendly and spoke English well. It is quiet and the beds are comfortable. I felt like at home, cooked and talked to other guests.
Maybe the light in the public room is a little bit dark, but I guess it is that way to make the place cozy :)

I like that it is closer to the famous spots of Kobe. If you will carefully plan out your trip, you will be able to visit about 30% of that area. Kobe station is just a 10-15 minute walk. It is close to Kobe Harborland, which me and my friend went for a cruise ship unplanned. The Bay Area has a lot of shops and restaurants. On our third day, we visited Nunobiki Herb Gardens, Kitano IIjinkan-Gai and finish off with having our dinner at Kobe Chinatown Nankinmachi.
Just a big trip for drivers! Before visiting those places, google right away where you can park. Because a lot of those crowded places would have pay parking that are too expensive. Like charging you 300 yen per 10 minutes. So beware.
All in all, the hostel has a laid back feel that artsy people like me would enjoy. The owner is really kind and can speak English well because a lot of backpackers stay in that hostel, too. So, no worries about communication. Have fun! :)
Maybe the ladder/stairs of the bunk bends are dangerous for me.

I stayed here Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night during Japan’s spring break. I thought it’d be packed, but I only ran into about 2-3 people my entire stay. Even the common areas like the rooftop and 1st floor lounge were completely empty every time I went. The guests in my 11 person dorm were so quiet and respectful, and I was able to sleep soundly every night! Make sure to explore the first floor! I found cute little hidden gems and hideouts every time I went down there! Check-in process is also Covid friendly, where you call the owner using the free landline on the first floor, and he’ll tell you what to do from there. I loved spending time on the rooftop in the hammock that was provided! Smoking is also allowed on the rooftop! The vibes of the hotel are great. Smells like incense, lo-fi plays on the first floor, and the walls are painted by local artists. The hostel also has rental towels for 100 yen if you didn’t bring your own. Extra blankets and sheets are provided for free. Bicycles can also be rented for a price. Overall a fantastic stay for the price! 10 min walk to Kobe Harborland!
The location is pretty far from Sannomiya station (where all the good Kobe beef resturaunts and night life are) if you’re trying to explore Kobe on foot.
