Home away from home in rural town
The host Alicia is kind and welcoming, always happy to answer questions or help make your stay pleasant. As reviewers mentioned, the traditional breakfast is amazing and a highlight of the stay! Furthermore, she adapted to our vegetarian/vegan diets. The outdoor space is relaxing. The kitchen was orderly and clean, equipped with what you need. Good free coffee and electric kettle for tea. The Internet worked great for video calls. Overall we felt at home and even came back for a second stay on our return north.
As other reviews mention, neighboring roosters can be bothersome if you're a light sleeper. Not a deal breaker. Consider bringing earplugs.

The host was very gracious and kind. The breakfasts were spectacular (like eating at your mom's house but better) The dogs barking late into the night and the roosters🐓 crowing at 4:30 in the morning all her neighbors fault nextdoor.

Mi Castillo was clean, quaint and friendly. Every morning we had a large breakfast in the beautiful courtyard. if you want a piece of rural home life in a small town Mi Castillo is what’re looking for.

Great value for money!
The lady who runs this place is very responsive, helpful and genuinely interested in maximizing their guests experience. The room was clean, breakfast choice fantastic and the AC nicely cooling. There are board games and books available for guests.
The beach is a bit far away walking distance.
