The exceptional staff made us feel so welcome during our stay. We were very well looked after, and it was a joy dealing with these people.
Glad to say nothing to dislike.

The rooms were spacious and clean with everything to make our stay comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly.
The place itself is lovely but the drive to get there is a little challenging.

A stunning property, beautifully decorated and sensitive to its surroundings and history. There are some fantastic trails around the lodge and opportunities to come across zebra, kudu, blesbok, impala etc we didn’t see the giraffe but they’re around. The whole site is tranquil and the views are spectacular - you feel you could have stepped back in time.

The food was terrible. It is obviously trading on the fact that it is in a good location and has the historical links.

Mealtimes were a wonderful experience! Not only was the food incredibly good, but the entire staff rotated between all meals so we met and were welcomed by every staff member at some time.
The ambience of the whole experience was welcoming and coupled with the very informative Battlefield Tours and the comfortable accommodation a true delight. On top of all that.......situated in a game reserve with guided walks we wished we had booked a lot longer than 3 nights!
Leaving!!!!
