I enjoyed the proximity to my workplace.
There is nothing not to like. It was simply value for money. I was not expecting more.

Are jammed lthat were left over from breakfast from taking away even though we paid for him and still has a croissant’s left
My gammon at dinner was full of fat
There is no lightbulb in the main bedroom my husband tried a lightbulb from a different room and the fitting is actually broken

Location was fine for what we needed i.e. Close by to family.
It was incredibly basic. Unfortunately because there are very few (if any) other options they can charge high rates, but it really wasn't worth the price paid.
The front door was not particularly safe or secure (having to lock from the inside is not fire safe), wasn't a very solid door.
The bathroom needs a lot of care and attention - lots of broken tiles, taps falling apart, black marks in the corner.
We weren't told in the check-in information the option about organising breakfast the night before in terms of both the cut off time and the price. So when we arrived to check-in it was too late to book that. Staff attitude not the greatest.
Doesn't even come with a hairdryer!

The rooms are spacious loved the bathroom clean but the shower pressure was tickling. Very frustrated. The other thing was the carpets was very dirty and the colour including the bedding were too dull for my liking meaning it did not match a holiday mood. Would I stay again for the value of money no. Why there was no internet in the rooms or WiFi. It cost my work and time. Do I left very early morning bells.😣
Shower.

Staff were very good, meals were excellent and we were made welcome.
It was a bit dark outside the room and the footing was difficult.

Good country pub, Restaurant with limited hours opening, excellent food, friendly staff and a large room, quiet location with large car park. Breakfast provided night before to place in fridge in room ready for the morning. Late arrival possible with key box.

lovely property with a big space for us all, we had a
separate bedroom to the children which was great.
proper country pub with really nice food and gluten free
options!
was really accessible for us with children and a baby,
loads of parking, you can have a drink whilst watching
the kids play in the play area
would’ve been good for us if we could’ve accessed the
children’s park when the pub was closed and also maybe
a vending machine or something for snack emergencies

Excellent pub food.
Continental breakfast delivered the evening before so not quite as we have experienced on continental holidays.

I stayed Friday and Saturday night. The room was perfect as it had its private entrance so there was no worry about not being able to go back in late at night, the room had a nice modern style and nice big towels! The thermostat came in handy during the unexpected chilly evenings. The breakfasts were lovely. I ordered a continental room breakfast for the Sunday as I knew there wouldn't be any available before I had to check out. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious with a great choice of local beers and ales.
I wasn't particularly keen on the mini fridge, as much as it was handy, it was very noisy and I had to turn it off within the first 5 minutes of arrival. The small area outside the rooms could do with a bit of subtle lighting as I couldn't see where I was going. The shower was running very hot and could do with updating as the pressure was too high (I'm not sure if this is a general thing with most hotels) sadly the wifi wasn't usable for internet access but I have since been informed this will be updated soon and would certainly be appreciated when the included smart tv can be connected (for the mean time bring a book). There wasn't any information in the welcome pack about checking out on a Sunday or out of hours so I left the key in the room and sent an email. Other than that, I had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again!

Need a car for location. No busses and taxi service is hit miss. TLC taxi was 45 mins late picking us up for a dinner reservation.
Only continental breakfast available during the week.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Access was straightforward from the car park to your own private entrance with no need to go into the Anchor. We had a meal there one evening which was nicely presented and very enjoyable. Would recommend. Beautiful rural location.
Unfortunately we could not have more pub lunches/evening meals here as we stayed from Monday to Thursday and the pub is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Lovely setting and the pub/restaurant is lovely inside. Staff friendly and welcoming.
The room is fairly basic but comfortable and clean. The breakfast took a long time to come out and the spicy beans were too much for my stomach at that time in the morning.

The fan in the bathroom wasn’t working so made the room feel quite damp

Evening meals excellent, well done to the one chef cooking for busy restaurant and the FOH staff were excellent for service, friendliness and welcome 😀
Wi fi connection and phone signal very poor in accommodation and sadly no cooked breakfast was available earlier than 9.30am but we totally understand this was due to chef shortages so we ate elsewhere
